  1. Madison scores look really good for only being Febuary. Do you think they are highly inflated or close to what she would get internationally?

    • I think a recap said she wobbled on almost every skill on beam so possible inflation! Difficult to know until you see her with other US seniors – roll on Jesolo!

    • Those scores are way higher than she’d get internationally. I think she got a 9.3 or 9.4 e-score on beam, which is ridiculous. She did have some impressive upgrades, but she also had a lot of wobbles.

      • Then go back and watch her routine and stop hating just because she’s not Russian or chinesed doesn’t mean she can’t have a solid and well executed with artistry dang take a chill pill

        • She actually wobbled on almost every skill on beam this weekend. That would not receive the same execution score at worlds that it received at WOGA, just like the majority of the U.S. teams received vastly lower scores at worlds last year.

    • She’s one of my favorite gymnasts… but she was over scored a bit. 2 arched handstands, bent elbows on her inbar half, flexed feet on her jager, slight shuffle on dismount, etc. I think she’s still far and away the best bar worker from the USA, but she was slightly over scored. Hoping the Amanar she mentioned she ways training comes to fruition… Would really help her chances on a 5-person team.

  4. Thanks for posting these results.
Will you be posting a Nadia Comaneci Invittational report too?
(And OT but does anyone know what happened with IG Forum?)

  5. Another question:
Was there a team competition? I saw a photo of some of the girls holding a trophy, but it’s not mentioned in the results that there were team prizes.

    • She added her standing arabian back in. She also has a 3-element tumbling series, and she is now connecting her aerial into her leap series. It was given a 6.3 D score. Most of the connections looked pretty solid. She just had a fair amount of wobbles, and she landed the arabian quite low.

  6. Lauren how many gymnist from other countries wobble on bb. And still get overscored. I was mainly talking about Madison’s ub routine. Say what you want but that was as good as any of the Chinese or Russian girls. She wasn’t overscored compared to their local meets
