Well the Romanians are screwed. Bulimar and iridon kind of proved that they can’t be counted on to hit bars so if Jurca and Ocolisan can’t go to the test event they’re not going to qualify. However, the juniors did a great job, the bars scores will improve as they get older, so hopefully this shows a turning point in Romanias downfall.

Why didn’t Jurca compete?

Is there any chance of Ocolisan or Jurca competing at the test event?

This result doesn’t look good for Romania at test event. Looking at this even with Larisa on board they would’ve maybe only beat Belgium by a few points at most (and that’s being optimistic as that they are down by over 3 points here. If we go by jesolo score, they would be beaten out by both brazil and france and of course also Belgium like today.. So they could beat out Germany to take the last spot although if Germany has scheder back it would be a little closer. Then after they get past the test event, it would be 4 up 3 count which helps them out significantly but I could see them still having trouble making top 4. I think sadly their streak of consecutive medal since 1976 has reached an end this cycle ;(…

This German team was also without Schäfer, Seitz, and Alt in addition to Scheder. This is a C team at best and the result isn’t indicative of what they’d realistically get in Rio. They’re probably at or above a 222 with their full team.

If Romania does qualify, is there any hope for Larisa in time for Rio? What kind of injury is it?

She broke her 4th finger but she can get back in time for rio. But it might come down to just her being there now as they just don’t have too good of a total number in a 6-5-4 format right now.

I think that unless Romania is consistent and hits to their full potential at the test event they will be battling Belgium and France for one of the last two spots. Germany and Brazil are much stronger this quad.

Yikes. The test event is going to be really interesting.

Hi Gymternet, can you make a potential team scores for the Test Event? Based in the competitions that took place this year?
