With the 2016 Olympic Games coming up in August, the FIG has released the names of all individual qualifiers and we’ll be hearing news of the twelve countries sending full teams over the next month. In an effort to keep everyone up-to-date, we’ll be maintaining this list of all official teams once named. If you have any news or additions, please let us know in the comments! We will also track all changes here, i.e. if an athlete is injured or no longer able to compete.

Confirmed by Gymnastics Australia as of June 8. Emily Little and Lauren Mitchell are the alternates.

Confirmed at the 2016 Olympic Test Event.
BELGIUM
Confirmed by the Belgian Gymnastics Federation on June 29. Cindy Vandenhole and Julie Meyers are the alternates. Axelle Klinckaert was originally named to the team, but as of July 14 she has withdrawn due to knee injury and was replaced by Hermans.
BRAZIL
Confirmed by Folha as of May 21. Carolyne Pedro is the alternate.
CANADA
Confirmed by Gymnastics Canada on June 30. Madison Copiak and Megan Roberts are the alternates.
CHILE
Confirmed at the 2016 Olympic Test Event.
CHINA
Confirmed as the nominative team by the Chinese Gymnastics Federation as of May 16. Liu Tingting was named to the team but as of July 17 she has withdrawn due to a hand injury and was replaced by Tan. Liu Jinru is the alternate.

Nominative team confirmed by R Sport on July 3. Evgeniya Shelgunova, Lilia Akhaimova, and Natalia Kapitonova are the alternates. Ksenia Afanasyeva was originally named the traveling alternate, but as of July 21 she was replaced by Shelgunova due to illness.
SLOVAKIA

Thank you so much for this list. I’m planning to do a gifset project for D scores as I did in 2013 and YOG 2014 and this is really helpful to know who’s already confirmed. Also, do you know when the nominative lists come out saying who’s doing what events? Some are obvious but others might be a bit trickier…

No problem! I’m not sure…I think most are doing the all-around aside from Larrissa Miller, who will only do bars/floor, and Chuso, who is definitely doing vault (obvs I guess) though I’m not sure what else she’s planning on doing. I just heard she won’t do AA.

The federation has only officially confirmed her as the flag-bearer, though I’m pretty sure it’s likely to be Ponor. I’m just waiting for the federation to confirm.
