NOOOO! Will Laney have any more chances to qualify elite?! I NEED HER!

There will be, I think, 5 more elite qualifiers this year.

I love her story but to be honest, she’s kind of far away from even qualifying elite score-wise, yet alone make it to nationals this year.. I think she should do L10, work on her form (that’s still pretty bad) and get a Div1 Scholarship 🙂

NO I NEED HER TO COME BACK AND HIT A BEAM ROUTINE IN ELITE! But after that, yes, L.10/D1 all the way.

I honestly don’t see how her form would be anywhere close to what’s required for a D1 program. NCAA is all about execution and she… doesn’t have that.

Ok, if we’re talking about bars, no, she doesn’t have the execution at all. But as far as the others go, she certainly could make it happen .Mykayla Skinner is a good example of a successful NCAA gymnast who had messy form as an elite. People were like “Ugh, no. She isn’t gonna be anything in NCAA.” But when she got to Utah, she worked her butt off on her form and managed to end up with routines that get her amazingly high scores, especially for someone with the some of worst form in the US at the time. Laney’s foundations just aren’t there on bars, but beam and floor, that’s another story. She has the difficulty on those events to standout in Elite, and NCAA. Her form really isn’t terrible, bars aside.

Except she really doesn’t. Her foundational skills are worryingly weak – yes, even on floor. Even her RO-BHS isn’t sound. I’m sorry, but she’d literally have to rebuild her skills from the ground up to make me think she’d be a contender even at a D2 school. Mikki’s skills were always messy in elite, but her foundations were solid. Laney’s make me worry for her safety, never mind anything else.
