Thank you for this! What a shame for Nastia Bachynska coming 4th on 3 events (though on the bright side doing better than quals each time, too!). I’m looking forward to seeing her again at 2022 euros, her beam is brilliant.

I didn’t notice that until I saw all of the results back to back and I was like oh nooooooo, hahaha…such a bummer. I think she just needs to tighten up a bit. She seems to have lost a lot of her attention to detail as she grew, so skills that looked incredible when she was a junior are no longer as sharp. But I’m glad she’s still continuing in the sport despite Tokyo not working out, and I think when she cleans up she’ll be fantastic!

I thought Iordache was competing here. Did something happen to her?

She also pulled out of the Koper competition the week before so I had a feeling she also wasn’t doing this one…unfortunately they just don’t update the rosters ever, and the Mersin roster hadn’t been updated since mid-August, which is annoying! It’s basically just a guessing game of who may compete and who may not. Lots on the roster for Mersin were missing, unfortunately.

Larisa still has trouble with her ankle following her injury at Tokyo (the dicey beam dismount during the beam qualifications). So she basically pulled out of everything except Worlds.
She’s hoping to be able to take part in the 2021 Worlds, but… we’ll see.
