  1. I believe Kylie Dickson qualified to the US Classic as well, with a 2-event score (her vault and balance beam add up to 28.2). Not sure if she got the proper compulsory to do 4 events at Classics, but she should at least be able to do the 2.

    • No, the only way to qualify to nationals is to qualify at the American Classic, U.S. Classic, or through international meets or national team verification camps. If you attend the WOGA Classic or any of the other qualifiers (i.e. Buckeye) you can get your CLASSICS score, but not nationals. And even if you compete in the elite qualifier at the ranch, you can still only get your Classics score…so Gabby Perea scored high enough for nationals but only qualified to Classics.

    • She hasn’t typically been doing bars and beam at the elite level. I don’t think she is getting past compulsories with those two, so her focus has been vault and floor.

    • This was the last chance to qualify elite. Those who haven’t yet made nationals but have qualified to the U.S. Classic can still qualify to nationals there, but this is the last elite qualifier of the season.

  7. I’m sorry if this is a dumb question, but isn’t McKenna Kelley trying to qualify elite? Why did she not compete in this?
