Can you please add Ana Sofia Gomez Porras? Thanks!

She’s on the list to be added. We have 1000 names to be added and are going based on demand. She’s actually about two down the list so will probably be added in the next couple of days.

Will you add Maria Holbura from Romania, too?

Will appreciate if you included Puerto Rico on the list: Paula Mejías, Paola Moreira (YOG2014)

I will! Paula is on the list coming up soon (we have a big list and haven’t had time yet to put everyone on) and I’ll make sure to add Paola on as well.

Kim Singmuang (SWE) has retired I believe. There was a post on Insta but it’s long gone.

Thanks, I thought so but wasn’t 100% sure.

No problem! It sucks to see her go, Sweden could have done a lot with her, she did show promise. It’s a shame because Sweden had a lot of promising gymnasts from 2011 to 2015 and they didn’t send anyone to Euros this year. I hope everything is okay there, I know two of their main coaches left for a job at Brestyan’s which led to numerous retirements but it’ll be pretty sad to see a promising group of gymnasts disappear like that (Singmuang, Estberg, Larsson, Ayan etc).
LikeLike
Yeah, I think that job ended up not working out at all, so I’m not sure what they’re up to or what’s going on. Estberg and Ayan, based on social media, don’t seem to be training. I know Larsson and Adlerteg are still training, but them aside, Sweden has literally no seniors at the moment (and neither of them is prepared to compete this year). Torres retired last year, but I think seeing how dim everything looks, she just decided to return to competition! Their nationals registration just closed today and they have 16 seniors registered, but most are inexperienced or lower-level. They do have Nicole Wanström, but aside from her, I don’t know most of the non-first year seniors. For the first-years there are some promising girls competing, like Agnes Åkerman and Sigrid Risberg, but even they’re not like, suuuper top-notch level girls.

Sosnitskaya competes for Georgia now.

She hasn’t officially changed her nationality through the FIG yet. The competition she did with them recently was small and didn’t require “official” nationality representation. She had the opportunity to apply for the change last month but didn’t so until she is officially recognized as competing for Georgia, she is still listed as Russia.

Ah. Okay. Thanks for the clear up.

Russia released her, so all she has to do is wait for the FIG.

Hi Lauren!
I just wanted to tell you that both Martina Basile and Nicole Terlenghi from Italy announced their retirements last year.
To add to this, I also think Carlotta Ferlito and Giorgia Morera have retired: Carlotta no longer has a license on FIG official website (she was actually scheduled as a ‘retired gymnast’ earlier this year), Giorgia, instead, hasn’t competed since 2018.

Thank you! I generally “retire” people once they haven’t competed for a full two years (so at the end of this year, I’ll retire all of those who haven’t competed since 2018), but I figured Morera was done…and same with Ferlito. I missed the Basile/Terlenghi announcements, too, so thank you again!

Is there any way to still get access to gymnasts who have retire?/Even if it isn’t on The Gymternet is there another place to find the data tables? (I may or may not be doing stats project lol. If there’s no way to get access, it’s actually not a big deal, I can always pick a different project)

Helene Schäfer is sadly retired. She had a terribly abusive coach and announced her retirement in an instagram post in May. Her sister Pauline said she’ll retire after competing in Tokyo for Germany
