Floor Exercise:

Vanessa Ferrari (ITA) – She needs above a 14.933 to medal. Double double, small hop forward. Great in the air. DLO, STUCK. Tuck full in, a little under rotated. Switch split to split 1/1 to sissone. Ferrari leap. Split 1.5. Last pass! Double Pike, a couple paces back. This was her swan song. It’s going to be close! 14.766. She goes into fourth.

Aly Raisman (USA) – 1.5 to tucked double arabian to punch layout, small hop forward. Split 1.5. Double L turn. Piked double arabian to stag. DLO, great. Switch 1/1 to split jump. Double pike, hop back. Great routine! 15.500. She goes into second!

Giulia Steingruber (SUI) – Straddle 1/1. Double double, under rotates and bounces forwards and falls to her hands. Also goes OOB. DLO, stuck. Switch leap 1/1. Full in, falls to her hands again. Straddle 1/1 again. Split 1/1. Too bad. 11.800

Simone Biles (USA) – DLO 1/1, perfect in the air, just a hop back. Straddle 1/1 jump to stag. DLO half out to sissone, perfect. Double wolf turn. Switch split to split 1.5. Double double, near stuck! Split 1/1. Full in, hop back. Fantastic end to her Olympics. 15.966! 

Amy Tinkler (GBR) – Full turn to straddle 1/1. DLO 1/1, a bit piked down. Double double, chest low and a tiny hop back. Switch leap to split 1.5. 1.5 to double tuck. Switch leap 1/1.  Double pike, stuck to end. 14.933. She takes over the lead.

Erika Fasana (ITA) – Tucked double double, stuck but low chest. DLO, hop forward. Memmel to Illusion turn. Switch ring leap to switch split 1/1. Full twisting straddle jump. Ferrari leap. Double pike to finish, hop forward. 14.533. Higher E score than Mai.

Wang Yan (CHN) – Tucked double double, nearly stuck but lands with a low chest. 1.5 to triple to punch front, great. Full turn. 2.5 to punch front half. Split 1/1. Switch ring to switch full. Double pike, chest low and a hop back. Great routine! 14.666

Mai Murakami (JPN) – Starts off with a tucked double double, small hop back. DLO 1/1, short landing but only takes a step forward. Quad turn, wow. 2.5 to front full, nice. Wolf turn, artistically falls out of it. Switch ring to split leap 1.5. Double pike, nearly stuck to end! 14.533
