3:06 pm. Final Standings

1. Lexi Zeiss 53.200
2. Ashlee Sullivan 52.750
3. Nola Matthews 52.600
4. Zoe Miller 52.500
5. Elle Mueller 52.250
6. Joscelyn Roberson 51.700
7. Jordis Eichman 51.400
8. Charlotte Booth 51.100

Zeiss was already qualified to nationals from her participation on the worlds team. The others ranked in this group also qualify, as does Kaliya Lincoln, who was ninth with a 51.050. The cutoff was a 51.000.

3:04 pm. Katelyn Jong UB: Inbar full to Chow to Pak, some leg separation and flexed feet, toe shoot caught pretty close, inbar to inbar half to piked Jaeger, slips and she’s off. Back on for a stalder to 1/1 double tuck. Bummer day for her between this and beam. 13.550 (6.0, 7.550)

3:02 pm. Joscelyn Roberson FX: Oooooh, a Moors! The form issues, but she lands it. Double layout is strong. Front full through to double tuck and a double pike to finish, what a tumbler.

Chloe Cho UB 12.000

3:01 pm. Eveylynn Lowe BB: Good on the layout series, switch to switch side, side aerial to layout stepout, unfortunately comes off there. Full turn. Dismounts with a double tuck, low chest but keeps her feet together. 11.950

Christiane Popovich BB 10.600

2:59 pm. Brynn Torry VT: Yurchenko double, didn’t see it but she debuted this recently and it looked GREAT! Just got. 14.100 here!

2:58 pm. Elle Mueller UB: Toe full to Maloney (leg separation) to Ray, Pak, Chow to Ricna, nice, switches grip for a front giant to the double front, step back. Lots in here that I loved! 13.400 (5.8, 7.600)

2:57 pm. Dulcy Caylor FX: Caught it from a lovely Y turn, ugh, but then she bounced back and sat the double pike OOB. Double tuck is good. 11.850

2:56 pm. Michelle Pineda UB: Toe full to Maloney to Pak to clear hip, I think that was a mistake from not catching the Pak correctly? Piked Jaeger, had another mistake on the high bar where she had to go into a kip cast, double pike dismount. 11.500

Kaliya Lincoln VT: Yurchenko full, super clean and powerful and flared! 13.400

2:55 pm. Malea Milton BB: Hit the triple flight series with the tiniest wobble. Some flexed feet in leaps, front aerial with a little bobble and she’s short on a split jump half. Side somi with a wobble. Side aerial. This routine feels 10 minutes long. Just a back tuck dismount. 11.250

Norah Christian VT 11.900

2:52 pm. Alicia Zhou FX: Double pike with a big hop back. Switch full. 1.5 to front full was nicely done. Split jump full. Switch ring I think to tour jeté half. Double tuck, sets a little low but lands well! 12.550 (4.9, 7.650)

2:49 pm. At this point, the podium is almost certainly going to be Zeiss, Sullivan, and Matthews…which is a podium I absolutely love!

Midway point with just a few athletes left to go!

2:48 pm. Amari Drayton FX: Double layout, strong. Double tuck, little stumble. 1.5 to front full with a big step over. 11.500

Myli Lew UB 13.650

2:46 pm. Gabriella Van Frayen BB: Switch to front aerial, small wobble. Good bhs loso. Clean side aerial. Full turn. Split jump full with a slight wobble. Hit the split jump to sissone, double full with a step. 11.300

2:45 pm. Charlotte Booth UB: Saw her do a Tkachev to mixed grip to the Ezhova, caught some other skills after that, it started before I was quick enough to start typing lol, hit the double layout with a step. Nice work! 13.750 (5.7, 8.050)

Annalisa Milton BB 12.200

2:44 pm. Jordis Eichman FX: Full-in, front layout to front double full, strong on both! Unfortunately bounces back on both her double pike and double tuck, I think she was too far back to reach the podium anyway, but still great work from her in her elite debut. 12.500 (5.2, 7.400, -0.1)

2:41 pm. Katelyn Rosen UB: Straddle Jaeger, toe full to Pak, toe-on to Maloney to Gienger, caught really close, almost crashed into the bar. Double layout with legs apart and a hop. 12.550

Amelia Disidore BB 11.800

2:40 pm. Kelise Woolford UB 11.500

2:39 pm. Zoe Miller FX: Big double layout, some leg separation, but solid on the landing. Full Y turn. Full-in lands short, leg up. Double tuck with a hop and double pike with a wobble and a step. She needs above a 13.1 to take the lead! Aw, 12.400, that’ll put her fourth for now.

2:37 pm. Nola Matthews BB: Hit her mount and side aerial at the start. Bhs loso, bent legs in the latter, but solid. A bit wobbly in the wolf turn. Clean jumps to back handspring. Front aerial with a little wobble. Double tuck with a stumble back. 12.700 (5.1, 7.600)

Levi Jung Ruivivar VT 13.500

Ashlee Sullivan VT: Yurchenko double. 13.600

2:36 pm. Lexi Zeiss UB: Full pirouette to Pak, Maloney to Gienger, I think had an Ezhova down to the low bar and van Leeuwen back up IIRC, full-in dismount, good! 13.500 (5.6, 7.900)

2:35 pm. Addison Fatta FX: 2.5 through to double tuck, that never gets old. Double pike with a big bounce, leg up. Front double full, some leg form. Great work! 13.100 (5.2, 7.900)

Brooke Pierson VT 12.900

2:34 pm. Rotation 3 Standings

1. Zoe Miller 40.100
2. Nola Matthews 39.900
3. Lexi Zeiss 39.700
4. Ashlee Sullivan 39.150
5. Jordis Eichman 38.900
6. Elle Mueller 38.850
7. Dulcy Caylor 38.700
8. Amelia Disidore 38.350

2:28 pm. Alicia Zhou BB: Off on the switch mount to switch half. Back on for a Korbut. Hit the wolf turn. Lovely triple flight series and some other well-connected skills in there too. Double full a little wild. Sad about the fall, she really did WORK after that. 12.100

Christiane Popovich UB 12.050

2:26 pm. Malea Milton UB: Hit a Tkachev to Pak, legs apart. Think the Tkachev was a Ricna but I didn’t see part of the entry. Legs wild on the van Leeuwen and she falls. Straddle Jaeger. Hit the dismount. 11.400

Norah Christian FX: Saw her finish with a full-in! 11.450

2:23 pm. Amari Drayton BB: Went for a leap mount into a leap but missed her footing a bit and fell. Bhs loso loso, her layout stepouts go really high and don’t travel much so this was iffy for me. Off on a front aerial after that. Hit a jump to back handspring. Switch ring was a bit weak, wobble. Chest down on the double pike. 9.650

Ashlee Sullivan FX 13.350, she’s kinda killing it today?

2:22 pm. Annalisa Milton UB: Came back just as she came off on the low bar, and then she had a second fall on the van Leeuwen. 9.400

Jordis Eichman BB 12.950

2:20 pm. Sorry, had to run away again for a minute. Some scores in the meantime…

Elle Mueller VT: Yurchenko 1.5. 13.650

Levi Jung Ruivivar FX 12.000

2:17 pm. Gabby Disidore UB: Toe full, Chow half (flexed feet), toe half, legs come apart and she can’t get her swing back, has to hop off. Gets the toe half to straddle Jaeger, Pak, then we cut away. 9.350

Michelle Pineda VT: Yurchenko full, slight form, but solid overall, hop back. 13.050

2:16 pm. Zoe Miller BB: Had a little bobble on her flight series but leaps looked really nice! Side aerial is good. Cross straight jump full with a wobble. Chest down on the double pike but a good hit! 12.550

Charlotte Booth VT: Yurchenko 1.5. 13.550

Myli Lew VT 12.950

2:14 pm. Midway rotation break! I think I shared all available scores. Beam continues to destroy hopes and dreams but good on Roberson and Sumanasekera for hitting!

2:10 pm. Addison Fatta BB: Really nice on the wolf turn. I haven’t been counting wolf turns today, I’m so lazy in early year live blogs. Standing layout stepout into a second layout stepout, ends a bit short and ends up not able to hold on, comes off there. Cross split jump half was iffy. Side aerial is good. Switch to split leap. Front aerial. Split jump to straddle jump. Really working slow and steady now after the fall. OOF, I think she meant to do a double full dismount but kept twisting out of it and did an extra half twist into a kind of wild lunge, good save from falling I guess. 10.800

2:08 pm. Amelia Disidore UB: Big Downie then Church, Pak, toe full was a little late, van Leeuwen was wild and didn’t get enough lift, ended up falling there. Finished with a double layout with a hop. 11.300

2:06 pm. Tiana Sumanasekera BB: Missed the beginning, jumped in at a leap series, split ring jump with a flexed back foot, front aerial to split jump to Korbut, double pike, a bit low, chest down at her knees, but think this was a fully hit routine. 13.000 (5.6, 7.400)

Joscelyn Roberson BB 13.300 (6.0, 7.300)

Marissa Neal UB 10.850

Brooke Pierson FX 12.050

2:05 pm. Nola Matthews UB: Straddle Jaeger was nice, Downie to Pak, just leg separation on the latter, toe full is clean, van Leeuwen, good shape there, stalder to toe on, double layout with a little deep landing into a hop. Mostly excellent! 13.450 (5.7, 7.750)

2:02 pm. Katelyn Rosen VT: HUGE Yurchenko 1.5, her power! And her form off the table, ends up piking down slightly as she gets to the landing but that was massive. 13.600

2:00 pm. Brynn Torry FX: 1.5 through to double tuck, a bit low on that landing. Double pike with a small hop back. Front full. Good work! 11.850

Katelyn Jong VT: Yurchenko double, chest a bit forward and a small hop but mostly good. 13.500

Eveylynn Lowe UB 11.400

Lexi Zeiss VT: Yurchenko double, looks like not her best based on the score? 13.450

Kelise Woolford VT 12.800

1:59 pm. Dulcy Caylor BB: Apologies that I missed most of this as well, what I saw was hit, but I only saw bits and pieces…hit the 2.5 dismount with a big lunge forward. 11.950

1:56 pm. Kaliya Lincoln FX: Floated through the double layout, strong landing. Either a back 1.5 or front full through to double tuck, I missed the beginning. Switch ring to tour jeté half. Sorry, I had to get up so I missed the rest! 13.600 (5.3, 8.300)!

Chloe Cho VT 12.900

1:51 pm. Rotation 2 Standings

1. Zoe Miller 27.550
2. Amelia Disidore 27.050
3. Addison Fatta 26.850
4. Dulcy Caylor 26.750
5. Skye Blakely 26.550
6. Nola Matthews 26.450
7. Lexi Zeiss 26.250
8. Eveylynn Lowe 26.000

1:48 pm. Charlotte Booth FX: Nice front double full to start, leg form is great from this angle! 2.5 right out of a roundoff, some ankles but lands well. Stumbled out of a Y turn. Split jump full. Split ring leap. Double tuck ends up completely OOB with a bounce back sadly. Switch half down into her final choreo.

1:47 pm. Ashlee Sullivan BB: Jumped in at the end here but saw her hit a nice double pike. 13.200 (5.6, 7.700, -0.1 ND)

1:46 pm. Katelyn Rosen FX: Was kind of all over the place in her full-twisting double layout, and the double layout after was also a bit rough, OOB.  12.700 (5.4, 7.600, -0.3 ND)

Jordis Eichman UB: Toe full, Chow half, big piked Jaeger, Pak, full-in with a step, this was nice! 12.900 (5.3, 7.600)

Gabriella Van Frayen VT 12.950

Kelise Woolford FX 10.950

1:43 pm. Zoe Miller UB: Cut into this late but saw her hit a release and the double layout, hope the rest was hit as well! Looks like that’s a yes. 13.900!

1:41 pm. Levi Jung-Ruivivar BB: Hit everything at the beginning, a little short on the side aerial to layout stepout, switch leap with a little bobble, split leap to sissone, switch half, a little short there, hit the jump series to the back handspring, break at the hips there. 1.5 with a step. 10.850

Addison Fatta UB 12.950

Brooke Pierson BB 9.800

Annalisa Milton VT 13.000

Nola Matthews VT 13.250

1:39 pm. Tiana Sumanasekera UB: Another non-UB worker I’m interested to see post-WCC! Toe full, little iffy, Maloney to Pak, nice. Van Leeuwen, stalder, blind change to front giant to straddle Jaeger, full-out with a small hop. 12.900 – her highest UB score by half a point!!!

1:36 pm. Lexi Zeiss FX: Double layout with a small hop. 2.5 with some leg form to punch front, step forward but stays inbounds. Really has to muscle that triple wolf turn around in the last turn. Switch to switch half. 1.5 through to double tuck with a little bounce to the side, OOB. 13.150

Amelia Disidore VT: Yurchenko double full. 13.850

1:33 pm. Midway rotation break! So beam is truly going to just slaughter everyone today, huh.

1:29 pm. Brynn Torry BB: Looked like she had a slip-up on the wolf turn but stayed on and hit the bhs loso. Front aerial to split jump with a wobble. Ended up falling twice after that, I wasn’t paying super close attention but saw her come off unfortunately. Hit the dismount. 9.200

1:26 pm. Katelyn Jong FX: Nice double double and full-in to start. 1.5 to front full also goes well. Double pike ends up a little low but great comeback from beam! 12.700

Kaliya Lincoln BB 10.300

1:24 pm. Joscelyn Roberson UB: Really excited to see how WCC has affected her here. Clear hip full finishes really late, Maloney with leg separation and almost no backswing but still gets it to the Tkachev, clear hip half, tries to muscle out of the turn but has to take an extra swing and then just hops off. Clear hip half to Ezhova, toe shoot, clear hip to toe-on to giants into the double layout dismount, stuck on her toes. She honestly does look a lot better despite some of the form…she’s not a bar worker and will never be one, but this is going to be a solid enough score if she can hit it and get her E into the low 7s. 10.850 (5.1, 5.750)

1:21 pm. Chloe Cho FX: We may have jumped in late for her first pass. Saw a 1.5 to front full, double L turn, and 2.5 to front tuck, which she can’t really get around and ends up sitting. 11.400

Dulcy Caylor UB: Toe full ended up a little crooked at the end, but corrects into the Maloney to Pak, clean van Leeuwen, stalder to blind change to straddle Jaeger, nice toe point, lovely double layout, small step. 13.350

1:19 pm. Skye Blakely BB: Great mount as always, and gets the wolf turn around. GREAT standing full, has a little step out of it but her chest position was awesome. Front handspring (walkover really) to front tuck, big wobble with her leg up. Switch to switch half, a bit short on the latter from the angle we have. Front aerial with nice extension but has a leg-up wobble. Pause before the jump to the back handspring. Side aerial is clean and well-extended, step back. Double pike with a good chest position and lunge back. 13.400 (5.9, 7.600, -0.1 ND)

Marissa Neal VT: Yurchenko full. 13.350

Alicia Zhou UB 12.850

1:18 pm. Elle Mueller FX: 1.5 to front full with a hop forward. Puts some sass into some of her choreo moments. Good leap series. Double tuck straight out of a roundoff, good landing! I assume we missed the first pass. 13.000

Eveylynn Lowe VT: Yurchenko full. 13.100

Norah Christian BB 10.400

1:16 pm. Michelle Pineda FX: Saw a solid double pike from her, and then a 1.5 to front full, bends her knees a bit there. 2.5 with some leg form and a hop. Nice hit routine! 12.850

Christiane Popovich VT 12.750

1:15 pm. Malea Milton VT: Yurchenko full, chest down, minor form things, but not bad. 13.000

Amari Drayton UB: Bent arms on the first handstand, and came down on the full a little early, but gets the van Leeuwen, blind change to straddle Jaeger, ugh, counter rotation is a bit off on the Ricna, back on for a Pak, toe shoot, came off SO early for the dismount and goes really low and long but gets it (a double tuck) around. Gave me two heart attacks in this routine but all is good. 11.850

1:14 pm. Well, beam has been a wild mess so far but Lexi Zeiss going above a 13 will be huge for her in the AA race. I’m 90% sure she’s doing all four?

1:11 pm. Rotation 1 Standings

1. Joscelyn Roberson 14.000
2. Addison Fatta 13.900
3. Zoe Miller 13.650
4. Dulcy Caylor 13.400
5. Amari Drayton 13.200
– Nola Matthews 13.200
– Amelia Disidore 13.200
8. Skye Blakely 13.150

1:07 pm. Amelia Disidore FX: Ooh, double double! Hop to the side. Some leg separation on the double layout and she lands a bit deep but a hit! Gets through the leap series and double wolf turn, tour jeté full, okay get it! 1.5 to front full. Hop back on the double pike. 13.200

Kelise Woolford BB 11.550

1:06 pm. Lexi Zeiss BB: Hit the bhs loso with some bent legs, but solid. Gets the double wolf turn around. Side aerial. Split jump to sissone. Leg form on the front aerial, also a wobble there/break at the hips. Double pike with a small hop. It looked SO slowly rotated but I think it was just the stream slowing it down hahaha, I got worried for a second. 13.100

1:03 pm. Nola Matthews FX: Full-in with a small hop back. Double wolf turn. Front full through to 2.5, nice! Hop L, GREAT height on the leg she has up. It’s like a foot higher than where it needs to be for this to count. Double tuck to finish. Great work! 13.200

Brooke Pierson UB 11.600

1:01 pm. Katelyn Jong BB: Ugh, off on her wolf turn. Hit the jump series after remounting. Double pike with her chest down. We cut into this a bit late so that’s all we saw. 10.500

1:00 pm. Marissa Neal FX: I saw a fall on one of her passes, something that she tried to punch into a layout but it turned almost into a handspring and she couldn’t get it around. 10.850

Addison Fatta VT: Yurchenko double, didn’t see it! 13.900

Eveylynn Lowe FX 12.900

Chloe Cho BB 9.400

12:58 pm. Brynn Torry UB: Caught a Tkachev and Pak, van Leeuwen, blind change to front giant half, full-in with a big step back. 13.100

12:57 pm. Joscelyn Roberson VT: Yurchenko half-on front full, does it laid out but ends up tucking a bit at times, especially coming off the table. A little short on the landing with a step. 14.000

Does a Yurchenko double for the second, leg form and really whips that second twist around, but decent landing.

12:54 pm. Closed captioning on the stream just had VOGUE ITALIA for WOGA.

Kaliya Lincoln UB: Lovely handstand before the stalder full, bends her hips too early down to the kip, Maloney to Tkachev, LOVELY handstand before the Ray (close) to Pak (some leg form). Toe-on to van Leeuwen, pretty nice leg form there, her handstands are so slow and deliberate. Front giant, clean double tuck with a step.

Dulcy Caylor VT 13.400 (looks like the Yurchenko double)

12:52 pm. Touch for the second half of rotation one! We’ll get Dulcy Caylor, Joscelyn Roberson, and Addison Fatta on vault, Kaliya Lincoln is of note on bars, Katelyn Jong and Lexi Zeiss on beam, Nola Matthews and a few GAGE gals on floor.

12:50 pm. Some scores!

Norah Christian UB 11.200

Michelle Pineda BB 11.650

Elle Mueller BB 12.200

Gabriella Van Frayen FX 12.100

Malea Milton FX 10.450

Christiane Popovich FX 12.300

12:49 pm. Skye Blakely UB: Stalder half to piked Jaeger, really had to stretch for that. Downie to Pak, not bad! Great handstand before the full pirouette to van Leeuwen, some leg separation, dead hang and empty swing before the to half to front giant to double front half, landing caught her off guard and she had a little stumble back. 13.150 (5.9, 7.250)

12:48 pm. Sorry, I had to take a call really quickly BUT saw a couple of bummer routines. Malea Milton fell back on her double pike on floor, and then Norah Christian went for some difficult bars skills but struggled with catching a couple of times.

12:43 pm. Some scores updates for routines we haven’t seen…

Levi Jung Ruivivar UB 11.650

Katelyn Rosen BB 11.900

12:41 pm. Charlotte Booth BB: Really nice on her acro series and her leaps have been lovely. Double full had some form but a solid landing. 12.050

Ashlee Sullivan UB: Pak, van Leeuwen with some leg separation, really had to throw herself into the Tkachev, leg separation in the front giant that was pretty significant, double layout with a good landing. Another one who’s newly back from injury! 12.6

12:39 pm. Amari Drayton VT: Floaty Yurchenko full. Some form, bent arms on the table, but solid landing. 13.200

Alicia Zhou VT: Yurchenko full, not a ton of power but landed it well. 12.900

12:36 pm. Annalisa Milton FX: Double tuck with a hop back. 2.5 to front layout, a little deep in that landing but not bad! Hop L turn to split full. I think she just did a front full front full for her third pass? She’s coming back from an injury so definitely not full strength here. Popa, switch half. Layout for her back pass. Not bad even if not at full strength! 11.450

Zoe Miller VT: Yurchenko full, soft knees but a good landing. 13.650

Jordis Eichman VT: 13.050

12:35 pm. Big group of seniors today. I honestly have no predictions for the all-around podium. I know a few of the top athletes are only doing a couple of events, so I’m just along for the ride. Assuming they do the all-around, Lexi Zeiss is obviously a good bet, Katelyn Jong, Nola Matthews, Kaliya Lincoln, and also interested in how a few other new seniors do, like Dulcy Caylor.

12:31 pm. The touch for the first rotation is underway!

  1. SO happy for Tiana!!! What an amazing hit on bars!!

She’s already qualified to nationals, right? From last year? So excited to see her as a senior!!

    • No, she still has to qualify (the only ones who are qualified to nationals from 2022 are members of the worlds team) – but she’ll have no problem qualifying via classics or an international assignment!

Her new bars are incredible. To see her get 10s and 11s at nearly every meet was such a bummer when she was so good elsewhere. She might never be a legit bar worker but she has improved leaps and bounds in just the short amount of time she’s been at WCC. They truly know what they’re doing there!
