8:51 pm. Taylor Burkhart PB: Wasn’t typing but this was a nice hit routine!

8:50 pm. I missed a couple of things, believe I saw Joshua Karnes hit rings, I can’t remember what else!

8:45 pm. Colt Walker PB: Opening went well, bent his legs throughout the Makuts though, and on a subsequent full pirouette, so weird for him? Bhavsar was good, clean Tippelt, then sat the double front. WELP. He could’ve overtaken Fred Richard but not anymore.

8:43 pm. Danila Leykin FX: Strong double front down the side, and then followed up with a punch into a randi, a little short but hit. 2.5 to front layout to front full, go off sir! Clean double full down the side. Omg his leg hold. He’s so good! Clean double pike, buckled but stuck landing.

8:42 pm. Fuzzy Benas SR: I missed the beginning, caught from the piked and tucked saltos to handstand, really short but he got to position in the end. Back giant to handstand was better and he nailed the double double dismount.

8:40 pm. Dante Reive VT: Oh hey stuck Kas 1.5!

8:39 pm. Jackson Harrison FX: Double-twisting double layout and piked double front, great! Think they had a 1.5 to front full down the side after that, a little stuck going into the wide-arm press handstand but lovely, and the little flair in between passes is also gorg. 2.5 to front layout with a bobble stepping out of it. Lovely leg hold. Beautiful stuck double pike to wrap things up!

8:33 pm. Rotation 5 Standings

1. Asher Hong 156.020
2. Fuzzy Benas 149.510
3. Fred Richard 148.605
4. Colt Walker 148.558
5. Joshua Karnes 148.002
6. Jun Iwai 147.213
7. Alexandru Nitache 145.592
8. Sasha Bogonosiuk 144.850

8:31 pm. Donnell Whittenburg HB: Tak half with minor form, same on the layout Tkachev, Rybalko was really late, good on the Zou Li Min to Yamawaki I believe that was, super high triple back pike, ends up a little deep on the landing and takes some big steps back to steady it.

8:29 pm. Jesse-Lee Pakele FX: Front full to piked double front, hop forward. I missed the next pass…or two, idk. I came back in right on the scale. Arabian double front half-out to finish was so clean.

8:28 pm. Danila Leykin HB: Lovely Tak full! Only slightly short. Pegan had some leg form before catching but made it around and also got the Kolman and Kovacs really nicely. Rybalko, Tak half (a little short), hop full, stuck the double-twisting double layout! A SLAY.

8:26 pm. Joshua Karnes PH: Mostly good work at the beginning but picks up some great speed when he gets to the flairs, travels well in Russians, and the dismount was quick and solid.

8:22 pm. Jun Iwai VT: Kas 1.5 with a really nice landing!

8:19 pm. David Shamah VT: Handspring double front, big jump forward out of it.

8:17 pm. Kameron Nelson FX: Piked triple back, big bounce back OOB. Triple back tuck went much better, solid landing. 2.5 to front layout down the side, tiny bounce. I missed his second-to-last pass but saw he hit the full-twisting double layout at the end, a bit short there.

8:16 pm. Taylor Christopulos PB: Front pike to handstand was clean, took a minute to cast to the handstand after that, had a nice front pirouette to half turn, pike sit with a clean press to handstand, very clean piked double back with a hop.

8:15 pm. Asher Hong VT: Ri Se Gwang with a couple of massive steps back as he kinda runs out of the landing. Also performs a Kas 1.5 I believe after that, I only saw the landing, looked like a big hop but not as severe as the RSG.

8:13 pm. Fred Richard SR: Opening bit was good and clean, back giants to handstand got a little shaky, front pike saltos to handstand looks a little more controlled I think, double-twisting double layout dismount nearly stuck, tiniest little foot movement.

8:06 pm. Rotation 4 Standings

1. Asher Hong 140.761
2. Fuzzy Benas 136.560
3. Fred Richard 135.055
4. Colt Walker 134.508
5. Joshua Karnes 134.352
6. Jun Iwai 132.913
7. Alexandru Nitache 132.342
8. Sasha Bogonosiuk 132.150

8:02 pm. Colt Walker SR: I caught this from the piked saltos to handstand, which was basically the end, hit the double double dismount well!

8:01 pm. Donnell Whittenburg PB: Think we’re getting a replay but I jumped in a little late, whatI saw was fine, had a double back to an arm catch that was great, double front half was stuck IIRC.

7:59 pm. Sasha Bogonosiuk FX: Randi down the side to start, then a front full to double front with a step forward. Both pretty solid. 2.5 to front layout is clean and looked stuck. Good front double full, small hop. Great routine!

7:57 pm. Fuzzy Benas FX: Aggressive on the front full to double front, small hop forward. Double double, almost stuck, chest far down though. Triple full down the side, stuck that one! 2.5 to front layout stuck, beautiful. Finishes with a full-out, a bit short with a hop.

7:55 pm. Drake Andrews HB: Kolman and Kovacs go well at the start, piked Tkachev and straddle Tkachev also hit, hop full, stalder, clean full-twisting double layout with a good landing.

7:53 pm. Asher Hong SR: Rolls through to maltese, inverted pike up to inverted cross, saltos to handstand was so smooth and solid, back giant to maltese, inverted hang to planche, back giant to handstand was a little iffy at first but he adjusted into it, double-twisting double layout ended up a little short and buckled with a little hop.

7:52 pm. Taylor Christopulos VT: Kas 1.5 wasn’t super controlled, ended up having to take a couple of large lunges back out of it.

7:48 pm. Joshua Karnes FX: Starts with a front full to double front and then a 2.5 to front layout I believe? That’s from my memory. 1.5 to front full down the side, basically does it into the scale after which is cooler than just doing a scale in the corner. Tucked full-in was a bit short with a big hop.

7:42 pm. Rotation 3 Standings

1. Asher Hong 126.293
2. Fuzzy Benas 123.060
3. Fred Richard 122.055
4. Colt Walker 121.258
5. Joshua Karnes 121.052
6. Jun Iwai 119.763
7. Sasha Bogonosiuk 118.350
8. Alexandru Nitache 117.821

7:39 pm. Sasha Bogonosiuk HB: Kolman was a little messy in the air, Kovacs was better but still had some noticeable leg/foot form before catching, got the Tkachev well, stalder, triple back tuck, ends up overrotating it a bit and sits it.

7:37 pm. Colt Walker PH: Wasn’t typing for this but he stayed on, just some big form breaks in the middle of the set.

7:36 pm. Fuzzy Benas HB: Pegan, Cassina, Kolman, all strong! Hit the rest of the routine, fab.

7:35 pm. Jackson Harrison VT: Just saw a replay of his gorg Yurchenko 2.5!

7:34 pm. Drake Andrews PB: Wasn’t typing for this but had a lot of pirouette adjustments and leg form breaks. Double pike dismount with a small hop.

7:33 pm. Nathan Roman HB: Endo, Tak half was a bit late, big layout Tkachev, straddle Tkachev was great, one-arm giant, stalder, double-twisting double layout with a big hop back.

7:32 pm. Fred Richard FX: Double-twisting double layout was strong, then a front full to double front IIRC, maybe a little low on that one, or squatty on the landing. Think the next pass was a tucked full-in. Okay, I’m caught up, punch front double full down the side, not the tightest but fine, and then a 2.5 down the side after that, better but still some form. Really lovely kick-out on the double pike at the end, pretty clean there.

7:31 pm. David Ramirez PB: Fell out of the front pike to handstand onto his elbows, had a nice pirouette and front straddle salto after that though so good recovery, dismountd with a full-twisting double tuck I think?

7:29 pm. Asher Hong PH: Scissors to handstand down to scissor work into circles, mostly okay, flairs look better on him and he’s going super fast and aggressive, clean transition back to circles, hip form throughout these, Russians on the single pommel, back to flairs, a little rushed into the dismount but he gets it around with a low landing.

7:28 pm. Alexandru Nitache SR: Hit everything at the beginning, front giant to handstand was solid enough, back giant to handstand same, dismounted with a double double, tiny bounce.

7:27 pm. Joshua Karnes HB: Zou Li Min, okay I had to stop typing and naturally forgot everything he did but think he had three releases (maybe a Pegan to start? IIRC?) and got all of them, had a big hop forward on the dismount.

7:26 pm. Preston Ngai SR: Maltese down to iron cross to inverted maltese, good transitions. Tucked saltos to handstand, took a second to get into position. Back giant to handstand, clean but swinging a little. Double double dismount was slightly deep, just a small hop back though.

7:24 pm. Charlie Larson FX: I missed his first pass I think but the double-twisting double layout and double layout were both gorgeous. Front double full to front layout with a hop back. Full-twisting double layout at the end was a bit short with a big bounce but great routine overall.

7:20 pm. Rotation 2 Standings

1. Asher Hong 112.693
2. Fuzzy Benas 109.055
3. Colt Walker 108.408
4. Fred Richard 108.053
5. Jun Iwai 107.263
6. Joshua Karnes 106.950
7. Sasha Bogonosiuk 106.000
8. David Ramirez 105.900

7:15 pm. David Shamah FX: Ooh, freaking GORgeous piked arabian double front half!! Front full to lovely double front. Clean layout down the side. Super clean arabian double front half, just a bit short with a hop forward. Not a super difficult set but my GOD this was the execution of my DREAMS. And his E score is a 9.050! Deserved.

7:13 pm. Kiran Mandava FX: Front layout with bent legs to front double full, that layout was so weird? Not the form or landing in the double full I assume due to the layout not giving him a great foundation but got it around. Also hit the double front. Double full down the side had noticeable leg form weirdly. Same on the 2.5, also a hop forward to control. Arabian double front ended up really short and squatted, big stumble back to keep it upright.

7:11 pm. Danila Leykin SR: Ooh, he had a Deltchev in his routine, which I only just learned exists after watching a junior doing it earlier today. Good routine, double double dismount.

7:08 pm. Asher Hong FX: Front double full to double front, stuck. Okay! Front full to piked double front with a hop forward. Double full down the side, solid enough. Full-twisting double layout, a little low but gets the landing well enough. Double double, stuck! Excellent!

7:06 pm. Fuzzy Benas PB: Clean handstand at the start, half turn from single to both rails went well, wild on the next pirouette though, hop half turn, double front half stuck but lots of leg form in the air. Not amazing but a hit.

7:05 pm. Fred Richard HB: Tak half, big layout Tkachev, Cassina went a little low and long but he reached for the catch, nice. Piked Kovacs, straddle Tkachev, Zou Li Min, very clean on the triple back. OOH.

7:04 pm. Max Odden PH: Scissors to circles, Russians go well in his travels, back to circles into the dismount, nicely done, not a super intricate routine but all went well.

7:03 pm. Kameron Nelson VT: Handspring randi, huge and clean, super solid landing.

7:01 pm. Brody Malone SR: Maltese, planche lowered to maltese, swings through to handstand then out to an inverted cross, nice. Front pike saltos to handstand, had an adjustment there, but got the double-twisting double layout dismount so nicely. Stuck!

7:00 pm. Joshua Karnes PB: Front pike to handstand was clean, half turn before the next series which had a Makuts, a little pause halfway through, some little things in the next pirouettes, solid Bhavsar and Tippelt, just minor hesitation in the latter, double front dismount with a hop.

6:59 pm. Kristian Grahovski VT: Massive Kas 1.5 but just goes a little wild on the landing and has to take a big step off the mat to control it.

6:57 pm. Patrick Hoopes PH: Scissors to circles, Sohn right to circles on the single pommel to Russians, so nice. Some hip form on the next circles, Russians back and forth across the horse, clean transition up to the handstand pirouette for the dismount, fab.

6:55 pm. Rotation 1 Standings

1. Asher Hong 97.485
2. Fuzzy Benas 95.005
3. Colt Walker 94.808
4. Fred Richard 93.403
5. Joshua Karnes 93.200
6. Sasha Bogonosiuk 92.700
7. Alexandru Nitache 92.621
8. Jun Iwai 92.608

6:50 pm. Crew Bold PB: Was a little shy on a handstand transition from the single to double rails, lovely pirouette after that though, pike sit had nice clearance above the bars and a nice press to handstand, nearly stuck the double front, just lifted his heel slightly.

6:49 pm. Kiran Mandava HB: Tak, lovely Tak half to Gienger to Endo, the Gienger was a bit close but he got through it, straddle Tkachev, stalder, clean full-twisting double layout with a small step.

6:46 pm. Asher Hong HB: Really hard fall on the Cassina, he also did a half twist on the fall itself and just smashed into the ground face first, oof. Piked Kovacs, Tak full was a bit of a mess, Tak half was nice, to stalder, dismounts with a double-twisting double layout, stuck.

6:45 pm. Joshua Karnes VT: Kas 1.5, pretty solid! Step back on the landing.

6:44 pm. Kameron Nelson SR: Everything at the beginning looked good, kinda iffy in a handstand position at the end but overall strong, triple back tuck with a decent landing, chest down.

6:40 pm. Taylor Burkhart HB: Liukin, stalder, straddle Tkachev, all good so far! Just minor form. Rybalko was a bit weak and rushed, think he did a full-twisting Gienger but I missed the entry, triple back pike with a solid landing!

6:37 pm. Brody Malone PH: Scissors to circles, good transitions between the handles and the horse, minor hip form at times but nothing severe, I had to jump up for a minute so missed the rest.

6:35 pm. Colt Walker HB: Zou Li Min, Tak half, Kolman and Kovacs, the latter was a little iffy on the catch, Tkachev, double double layout dismount, looked stuck!

6:33 pm. Stephen Nedoroscik PH: Scissors to circles up to handstand for a pirouette and then pops off, I was like is he just doing a little demo lmao but no that was a fall. Back on for circles, Russians on the single handle with some leg form issues, Sohn, circles on the single pommel, Russians across the horse, circles back the other way, then muscled into the handstand for the dismount. Well, he’s laughing hahaha.

6:32 pm. For a little recap, Asher Hong had a massive lead after day one. The next closest behind him were Fuzzy Benas, Colt Walker, Fred Richard, Joshua Karnes, and Alexandru Nitache.

6:28 pm. Touch warmups are underway! We should get started shortly. I can’t find start lists but should be able to figure out who everyone is I guess.

I’m watching the international stream instead of Peacock, btw.

Also sorry about missing the first day of MAG competition but I fear I went to the musical Heathers off-Broadway and it was worth not having any clue what’s going on today.
