MONDAY FEBRUARY 22

10:45 pm. Arizona wins 196.375 to Arizona State’s 193.975. Both teams had 49.25 in their final rotations! Awesome.

10:41 pm. I’ll be back in a few minutes with the final scores!

10:40 pm. Callis, ASU, FX- Her music reminds me of when Meredith Grey drowned on Grey’s Anatomy. Hit opening pass, 1.5 to front layout is nearly stuck. I missed her middle pass I think.

10:38 pm. Sheppard, Arizona, BB- Side aerial, solid bhs loso, switch to split jump, switch to straddle 1/4, full turn, 1.5 with a hop.

10:36 pm. Allex, ASU, FX- Nails double arabian, just a tiny bounce in place. 2.5 to front full is excellent. Her Rudi is SO easy for her it’s not even funny. Brilliant routine. Lots of screams, it’s gonna be a huge score…9.925!

10:33 pm. Sisler, Arizona, BB- Gorgeous bhs bhs loso. Switch to split jump, front toss, full turn, the color guy is getting into calling skills, LOL. Good for him. Most color guys wouldn’t give a $#@% about learning the sport. 1.5 dismount is beautiful, fights for the stick. 9.875

10:31 pm. Salas, ASU, FX- Big front double full, front layout to front full, good double pike to finish. She has roughly 80 billion different songs in her music. 9.875

10:29 pm. Cindric, Arizona, BB- Good switch leap to split jump, bhs loso is solid, nice full turn, side aerial, good jumps, nails gainer pike dismount. 9.9!

10:27 pm. Udowitch, ASU, FX- Double pike is short. 1.5 loses leg form a bit into the punch front pike. Rudi a little short to finish. 9.75

10:25 pm. Mills, Arizona, BB- Nice front aerial to bhs. Full turn is solid, switch to ring jump, side somi, solid gainer full. Great work. 9.85

10:23 pm. Belkoff, ASU, FX- Double pike literally with her heels right in the corner, HOW did she not go out. A+ bonus score for her. Front double full with a step to steady. Great 1.5 to front layout. 9.875

10:21 pm. Howard, Arizona, BB- Loooove her crazy cool mount. Little stumble on her bhs loso and she has about 75,000 checks but keeps fighting and holds it. Good pike jump to back tuck and she’s off-center again, but saves it. She already has about a fall’s worth of balance checks, honestly. Switch to straddle 1/4 with flexed feet but hit. Gainer tuck full off the end of the beam. 9.6

10:19 pm. Lentz, ASU, FX- Good double pike to start. Really long and low 1.5 so she doesn’t land in a good spot for her punch into the layout but she hits it anyway. Very good double tuck. 9.825!

10:18 pm. Edwards, Arizona, BB- Nice front aerial to bhs to sissone. Full turn in attitude, front toss, switch to beat jump to ring jump is beautiful, good landing on the tuck front full dismount. 9.8

“Have some fun! This is gymnastics. This is college. The best time of your life. Enjoy the ride.” Uhhh, color commentary guy, I’m pretty sure that’s not what the ASU assistant coach is saying.

10:13 pm. Arizona goes 49.125 on floor and are at 147.125 going into the final rotation. Hit beam and they’re looking at like 196-196.3 or so.

10:12 pm. 48.6 for Arizona State on beam, so they’re at 144.675 going into the final rotation. I’ll post Arizona’s score when we get the last one in.

10:09 pm. Howard, Arizona, FX- YASSSS she has Rheagan Courville’s / Kara Lovan’s / Laurie Hernandez’s music but a different cut…a little creepier. Big double pike to open. Solid double tuck. Front layout front full with a step. Another awesome set from Arizona. 9.875

10:07 pm. Conrad, ASU, BB- “Hallelujah” and a really pretty version. Awesome bhs loso. HOW is this team so good on bream?! The scores don’t show it but don’t trust it, they’re def all a bit low. Switch to back tuck, little check, side somi, cat leap to switch side, stuck front layout full. Great. 9.825

10:05 pm. Schneider, Arizona, FX- WELL, let’s hope her music works this week. Yep, woot. Great double pike, hit middle pass. Her sassy shoulder shrug before her double tuck stuck cold to two feet is the bomb. 9.875

10:03 pm. Lentz, ASU, BB- “Hey There Delilah” memories. Solid bhs loso. Switch to straddle 1/4, full turn (slight check), switch side, nails double tuck. 9.775

10:01 pm. Sisler, Arizona, FX- Whenever I see her last name I think of the 90s restaurant Sizzler where I never got to go and I think I only know of its existence from like Baby-Sitters Club books. Rudi loso is way off-center. Clean double pike. Double full to punch front, good. 9.875

9:59 pm. Belkoff, ASU, BB- Excellent bhs bhs loso. Switch to straddle 1/4. Lovely front aerial to Korbut. She is owning this after her bars issues. Oh, but a balance check on the full turn. 1.5 with a hop forward. Beautiful job. 9.65

9:57 pm. Mills, Arizona, FX- NAILS double pike. Superb. Switch ring to wolf jump full. 1.5 to front pike, a little step forward but stays inside. Front full to front layout. Great routine. 9.8

9:55 pm. Udowitch, ASU, BB- Front aerial to bhs is lovely, switch to split jump, full turn, good front toss, side aerial to layout full with a good landing. 9.725

9:52 pm. Edwards, Arizona, FX- Double pike, stumbles back two steps, one of which goes out-of-bounds. 1.5 to punch front pike is good, as is front full to front layout, actually  just a little bobble as she puts it down. 9.7

9:50 pm. Callis, ASU, BB- Bhs bhs loso, hits it, but then has a last-second check. Switch with a wobble into the split jump then beat jump. Cat leap to side aerial, landed sideways. Lovely full turn. Totally misses her feet on her side aerial but still gets the punch she needs into the layout full. 9.575

9:48 pm. Sheppard, Arizona, FX- Good double pike to start. 2.5 with a stumble forward. She has a cell phone ring in the middle of her routine but she doesn’t do anything with it, LOL, okay. 1.5 to punch front pike. 9.675

9:47 pm. Salas, ASU, BB- Bhs loso, good opening. Full turn, cat leap to switch side, punch front tuck (leg up but holds on), no amplitude on switch to pike jump, good punch front layout full dismount. 9.625

9:44 pm. Arizona leads 98.0 to Arizona State’s 96.075. Arizona had a 48.85 on vault while ASU had a 47.25 on bars.

9:42 pm. Waiting for scores still… #RAGE

9:39 pm. Calliss, ASU, UB- Blind change to super close straddle Jaeger with flexed feet, messy bail, short last handstand, messy double layout is a bit short, a couple steps forward. First bar routine of her NCAA career so good enough considering. 9.65

9:38 pm. Cindric, Arizona, VT- Big clean FTY. Easily their best. Just a slight pike on the landing and a tiny bounce. 9.775

9:37 pm. Lentz, ASU, UB- Toe-on to messy Gienger, bail with ankle sep, short last handstand, clean double layout but she’s unsure of the landing and takes at least two steps back. 9.65

9:36 pm. Edwards, Arizona, VT- Another decent FTY with a hop back. A bit stronger than Sisler’s. Legs are apart on her block though. 9.8

9:34 pm. Kraus, ASU, UB- Long wait for Belkoff’s score. Giant full to Tkachev with bent knees to overshoot, 45 degrees short on last handstand, double layout clean with a hop back. 9.75

9:33 pm. Sisler, Arizona, VT- Solid FTY with a step back. Still a pretty weak block though. 9.75

9:31 pm. Belkoff, ASU, UB- Clear hip to Ray, gets no push off the bar and comes nowhere near catching the high bar. Falls, Giant full to blind change, falls out of handstand and jumps off. Gets back up to high bar, bail, giant full to double tuck with a step. 8.225

9:30 pm. Mattson, Arizona, VT- Yurchenko layout half, Borden’s saying Arabian but nope. THERE’S A DIFFERENCE. Low landing, step forward. OH, HAHA, Greg Marsden is correcting her now LOL. 9.775

9:29 pm. Udowitch, ASU, UB- Catches straddle Jaeger way too close and has to take an extra swing. Bail with legs in a V, stalder, falls out of handstand. Remounts, just does the double tuck, bounces forward. 8.45

9:28 pm. Laub, Arizona, VT- FTY, arms bent on her block so it’s not the best, piked down, step back. 9.75

9:27 pm. Salas, ASU, UB- Giant full, bail with leg sep, double layout with a hop. Did I miss a release? Didn’t seem like a full routine. 9.75

9:26 pm. Felix-Terrazas, Arizona, VT- FTY, crashes it. Weird. Her block looked okay, just twisted a little late maybe? Had no idea where the ground was. 9.175

9:21 pm. Arizona is leading 49.15 to Arizona State’s 48.825.

9:19 pm. As per usual, Arizona State’s live scores aren’t working. Lemme check Twitter…k, got ’em, all but Mills.

9:18 pm. Mills, Arizona, UB- Clean giant full to Gienger, legs glued. Toe-on is short, to bail which is crooked. Full-in, can’t hold onto the stick, step forward and chest down. 9.85

9:17 pm. Allex, ASU, VT- Another ridonkulous poof. Big Yurchenko 1.5, pretty great. Slight step forward. 9.9

9:16 pm. Felix-Terrazas, Arizona, UB- Gorgeous first handstand, Tkachev to overshoot is a little wonky, giant full (leg sep) to double tuck, stuck with feet apart. 9.775

9:15 pm. Salas, ASU, VT- Big FTY, very clean, slightly piked, tiny bounce. 9.85

9:14 pm. Laub, Arizona, UB- Oh, her hair poof is challenging Kraus. Tkachev, a little low, SUPER clean bail, legs glued. Short last handstand, clean stuck double layout! DAMN they are killing it. 9.825

9:13 pm. Kraus, ASU, VT- Her hair poof, every week it gets bigger. Very open tucked FTY with a big hop back. 9.65

9:12 pm. Howard, Arizona, UB- Lovely piked Jaeger, bail (ankle sep), quick giant full to clean double tuck, stuck. 9.875

9:11 pm. Belkoff, ASU, VT- Clean FTY, just pikes down at the end, not the best block, little bounce. 9.775

9:10 pm. Spencer, Arizona, UB- Beautiful Gienger, bail to toe shoot, Amanda Borden is like I was her club coach, SHE BETTER BE CLEAN. Giant full to double tuck, step back. 9.8

9:09 pm. Lentz, ASU, VT- FTY, low block, super piked down, hop forward. 9.65

9:08 pm. Schneider, Arizona, UB- Toe-on to Gienger, good handstands, solid bail, stuck double layout! 9.8

9:07 pm. Udowitch, ASU, VT- Vaulting for the first tie this season after an injury to Eileen Imbus. Just a Yurchenko layout, a little piked with a bounce. She hasn’t trained this vault since October. 9.5

9:02 pm. Arizona State is down to only eight gymnasts! 15 of 24 routines will be done by freshmen tonight.

9:01 pm. Dual in the Desert! Arizona vs Arizona State. Very exciting.

Cat leap to switch leap to back tuck, awesome combo but a little wobble at the end. Side aerial to split jump, side somi, this routine is stacked. Hey, it’s Joe! I’ll be live blogging TWU at Pittsburgh.

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 19

10:49 pm. Well, that’s about it for tonight. So glad I caught what I could from that last meet because that was hella fun.

10:45 pm. Southern Utah goes 49.45 on floor for their epic routines in a heart-racing final rotation to win the meet with a 196.3 to Michigan’s 195.75. UC Davis is third with a 194.025.

10:43 pm. Trejo, SUU, FX- Front full front layout, 1.5 to front pike is nailed, perfect 1.5 to front layout. Hot DAMN, Thunderbirds. This was her final routine at home and she’s sobbing. This was a beautiful meet to watch. 9.9

10:40 pm. Brownsell, SUU, FX- Sky high double pike. The meet is basically theirs to lose at this point which is insane. They’re losing their minds. Double tuck is great. Nails front full to front layout. Excellent routine. 9.95!!! The crowd is LOSING THEIR SHIT.

10:38 pm. Webb, SUU, FX- Great double pike to start. Front full punch front is a little short but clean. Excellent Rudi to finish! 9.9

10:37 pm. Michigan’s only putting up five vaulters, skipping over Artz. They get a 49.175 there and their team score is a 195.75. Yikes. That’s their lowest by like a full point this year…I think before this it was like a 196.6 or something.

10:35 pm. Ramirez, SUU, FX- Awesome double pike. Front full to front pike is good. Hits final pass with a step forward. 9.825

Karas, Michigan, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, huge, hop forward. 9.9

10:33 pm. Blake, SUU, FX- Couldn’t really see the first pass because someone is standing in front of the camera, looked like a 2.5 to punch front tuck or something of that nature. Punches into a Rudi with helicopter ankles. 9.875

Chiarelli, Michigan, VT- Yurchenko 1.5 with a huge hop forward. 9.85

Sheppard, Michigan, VT- Lovely FTY. Nice and flared but a hop back. 9.875

10:32 pm. Brown, Michigan, VT- FTY, decent, big hop back and she is still a little piked. 9.8

10:30 pm. Bozzuto, SUU, FX- Hits double pike to start, good. Second pass is also strong. Front layout front full. Solid Rudi. Great routine. 9.8

McLean, Michigan, VT- FTY, a little short, chest is fully piked. Little bounce. 9.75

10:24 pm. Southern Utah still has quite a solid lead, nearly three tenths, over Michigan! They’re at 146.85 to Michigan’s 146.575. UC Davis is in third with a 145.375.

10:22 pm. Chiarelli, Michigan, FX- Awesome tucked full-in, stuck cold. 1.5 to front layout to front tuck, awesome. I just did her claps along with her because I’m conditioned to. Awesome double pike to finish. Great routine. 9.925

10:10 pm. Brown, Michigan, FX- Hit double pike to start, 1.5 to front layout is good, lovely double tuck. 9.85

Yee, SUU, BB- Front aerial with a check going into her Korbut, might not count it because it was very slow but idk, she kept moving through the check so maybe. Steady on her jumps, split to split 3/4, full turn, front toss I think? Looked like it was either a toss or an aerial. Gainer pike stuck with feet apart. 9.8

10:08 pm. Williams, Michigan, FX- Beautiful double pike into a controlled lunge. 1.5 to front layout, clean. Double tuck is a little short. 9.8

Trejo, SUU, BB- Nice bhs loso, great double full, just brings her feet together. 9.875

10:07 pm. All right, I shall bring SUU into the mix now that LSU/Auburn is done and I can spare the screen space.

10:06 pm. The “under-appreciated” LSU Tigers get a 197.825 to Auburn’s 197.125, a huge road score for this team! 39.625 for Myia Hambrick in the all-around.

10:03 pm. Gnat, LSU, FX- Literally skips onto the floor, BLESS. She’s gonna get a 17 I think. I’m just gonna accept it. Huge double layout, kills it. Gorgeous (aside from the Musty helicopter ankles) 2.5 to front tuck. I feel like judges legit just don’t care about crossed ankles in NCAA, tbh. Gorgeous stuck double tuck onto both feet. Yep, that’s getting a 10. And…it did!

10:02 pm. Atkinson, Auburn, BB- Solid bhs loso, cat leap to front aerial is good, nails dismount. 9.875

9:59 pm. Wyrick, LSU, FX- “DD thinks this team is under-appreciated by the judges” okay like you just had three ridic scores in a row but okay lol. Nails full-in, front layout half series is nice. Great double tuck. 9.925

Michigan only had a 48.25 on beam. :-/ Two falls and two routines with big mistakes. Their score is 97.325 right now and SUU jumps ahead at 97.8!

9:58 pm. Milliet, Auburn, BB- Split to sheep, slight check. Solid bhs loso, front aerial looks a little wonky, cat leap to gainer full, stuck. Great work. 9.875

9:56 pm. Savona, LSU, FX- Oooh, she’s back!!! 1.5 through to double tuck. Legs are a little wild. Full-in second pass, YAS. Fun routine. She’s super into it and having a blast. Nails the double pike. YAS BISH YAS. 9.95

9:54 pm. Demers, Auburn, BB- Solid bhs loso, hit jumps, side aerial to stuck layout full, nice! 9.875

Chiarelli, Michigan, BB- Bhs loso with wild legs and a huge wobble but saves it. Cat leap to side aerial with a check. Stuck double tuck. 9.625

Artz, Michigan, BB- Pike jump to straddle 3/4, full turn, front toss, falls. So they’ll have to count a fall. UGH. Hit flight series. Beat jump, random. Punch front full dismount. 9.3

9:50 pm. Krippner, Auburn, BB- Switch to pike jump, no amplitude on the latter. Smooth front aerial to bhs, split to split 3/4, 1.5 leg comes up like she’s wobbling ON the beam lol. 9.75

Williams, Michigan, BB- Good jump series, side aerial, super short on her split jump full, no amplitude and her hips are off so she falls. Good bhs loso. 1.5 with a step. 9.35

9:49 pm. Hambrick, LSU, FX- Big double layout to start. Nice 2.5 to front tuck as well. Double pike, slight little stumble. 9.9

Marinez, Michigan, BB- Front aerial to bhs, side aerial with a big check but saves it, stuck double full a bit deep. 9.875

9:45 pm. Ewing, LSU, FX- 2.5 to start, not bad. Front full front lay right in the corner. Double pike, big step back and her heel goes out-of-bounds but didn’t touch the floor, just kind of hovered above it, haha. I don’t think they took it…oh, they should, though. When she puts it down in slow-mo it’s like a hair over the line. 9.85, they didn’t take it.

Brown, Michigan, BB-Front aerial, bhs loso with a check, hits jump combo, cat leap to side somi with a check, double full with a little bounce. 9.8

9:43 pm. Hlawek, Auburn, BB- Bhs layout, slight check. Switch to split jump. Roundoff 1.5 stuck with feet apart. 9.8

Karas, Michigan, BB- Punch front tuck with a big wobble but a save. Cat leap to switch half, no amplitude. Good bhs loso. Gainer pike with a step back. 9.6

9:38 pm. LSU leads 148.125 to Auburn’s 147.825 going into the final rotation! Actually pretty close all things considered. Killer floor from Auburn.

Michigan leads 49.075 to Southern Utah’s 49.0 and UC Davis’ 48.075. Michigan’s leos look like that GK leo literally everyone had in like 2010 and 2011. I kind of love it.

9:28 pm. Finnegan, LSU, BB- Oh god here we go. Wild triple wolf turn but her least wild since like, the first time she did it so good I guess. Check after bhs loso. Switch to switch half, another check. Side somi, double full, great. 9.85

Sheppard, Michigan, UB- Gaint full to big Tkachev, right into a straddle back. Double layout, piked in the first flip and landed with feet apart.

9:16 pm. Milliet, Auburn, FX- Love her opening choreo, front layout to Rudi, nice. Double pike with a little bounce back, 1.5 to front layout with super V legs is too short and she sits. 9.3

9:14 pm. Macadaeg, LSU, BB- Full turn, switch to switch half with a wobble, front aerial to straddle jump, good bhs loso, and a solid gainer full. 9.775

9:09 pm. I’m going to add Michigan to the mix in a little bit. They’re at Southern Utah with UC Davis so I’ll probably only focus on them until this LSU meet ends but I’ll try to catch what I can from SUU.

9:08 pm. LSU leads 98.825 to Auburn’s 98.375 going into the halfway point.

9:07 pm. Zamardi, LSU, UB- Maloney (leg sep) to pak (leg sep), short handstand before blind change to Markelov, double arabian with messy legs and a hop. 9.9

9:06 pm. Atkinson, Auburn, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, big, great positioning, just a tiny step forward. Great work. 9.9

9:05 pm. Finnegan, LSU, UB- Nice Ray to start, toe-on to bail is clean right into the toe shoot, super short on last handstand, double layout stuck in a squat. 9.9

9:04 pm. Rott, Auburn, VT- Huge stuck FTY. Well, stuck on her toes and with a deep squat, and her chest is also like in a full pike position, haha, but stuck. I guess. 9.85

9:03 pm. Wyrick, LSU, UB- Archy on her giant full, low Tkachev with super bent knees, clear hip to bail, double layout with a little bounce forward and her chest down. 9.8

9:02 pm. Demers, Auburn, VT- FTY with a hop back. 9.85

9:01 pm. Cannamela, LSU, UB- Toe-on to big Tkachev with flexed feet, fall. Bail, short last handstand, full-in stuck. 9.15

9:00 pm. Kluz, Auburn, VT- FTY, nice form, hop back. 9.825

8:59 pm. Hambrick, LSU, UB- Ray, slightly flexed feet. Giant full to bail, a little crooked, to toe shoot. Short last handstand, stuck full-in. 9.925

8:58 pm. Krippner, Auburn, VT- Decent FTY with a hop back, chest angled slightly down. 9.8

8:57 pm. Savona, LSU, UB- Shaposh to bail, her best so far I think, she’s usually quite messy. Giant full, double layout, great landing. DAMN her best routine of the season. Looks like they took out her single bar release to clean it up and YEP. It worked. 9.85

8:56 pm. Garcia, Auburn, VT- First time competing for Auburn. FTY, a little short, super piked. 9.725

8:49 pm. LSU leads Auburn 49.45 to 49.15 going into the second rotation.

8:48 pm. Atkinson, Auburn, UB- Toe-on to bail, she has Bross knock knee toe point. Ooh, she’s WAY over on her Tkachev, no way she’s gonna catch, and she doesn’t, she’s still so far forward. Way short last handstand after she gets back up, GIANT full-in with a step. 9.275

8:47 pm. Gnat, LSU, VT- Og her little looking at the mat three times ritual. DTY, stuck, same twisty ankle Mustafina helicopter leg form as usual but I don’t think the judges care. Kathy just had a HELL of a time trying to pronounce “effortlessly.” Oh, wow, one judge cared about the ankles. 9.975

8:46 pm. Milliet, Auburn, UB- Beautiful Ray, lovely pak salto, toe shoot, goodness she’s so good, but short on the last handstand, biant full to clean double tuck, stuck in a bit of a squat. 9.875

8:45 pm. Hambrick, LSU, VT- Nice clean FTY, small bounce back. 9.9

8:44 pm. Kluz, Auburn, UB- Tkachev, great. Giant half to clean straddle back, short last handstand, big clean stuck double layout. 9.875

8:43 pm. Wyrick, LSU, VT- Yurchenko layout half. Step. 9.875

8:42 pm. Kopec, Auburn, UB- Jaeger with super flexed feet and caught weirdly, into the overshoot, double layout with a slight step. 9.8

8:41 pm. Finnegan, LSU, VT- FTY, stuck, just a deep bend in her knees and her body line is a tiny bit loose. 9.875

8:40 pm. Krippner, Auburn, UB- Maloney (leg sep) to bail, good Tkachev, a little short on the last handstand, full-in with a hop. Meh. But that’s not really her event so not bad. 9.775

8:38 pm. Ewing, LSU, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, nice, just a big step forward. 9.825

8:37 pm. Cerio, Auburn, UB- Piked Jaeger, nice, good bail, great last handstand, giant full to double tuck, step back. I almost don’t imagine she’s a second choice for Auburn’s bars. A few years ago that would’ve been a top routine. 9.825

8:36 pm. Cannamela, LSU, VT- Clean FTY, good body position, hop, a little off-center. 9.775

8:25 pm. Florida wins this one 197.75 to Missouri’s 196.65! Great meet for both. Moving on to LSU and Auburn in a few minutes!

8:23 pm. Harris, Missouri, FX- Huge double pike. Front layout front full with a step. Double tuck with a step back. 9.9

8:20 pm. Sloan, Florida, BB- Just gonna assume this is a 10 no matter what she does. Front aerial to beat jump, bhs loso with a huge wobble, leg up, but saves it. Easily a 0.3 wobble. They’ll prob give her a tenth. Switch to split jump, full turn. Courtney Kupets just backed me up on the 0.3 thing. Aerial and another wobble but this time she falls. Whoops. Double full with a step. 9.15

8:19 pm. Porter, Missouri, FX- Solid double pike. 1.5 to front layout is great. Good double tuck. Killed it. 9.95!

8:17 pm. McMurtry, Florida, BB- Messy bhs loso, her knees are seriously so bent and crooked. Switch to Shushunova to back hip circle, full turn, stuck double full, tiny little shuffle to hold it. Apparently she’s doing her “first floor routine ever” next week because nothing counts until NCAA, she NEVER did floor in JO. 9.95

8:16 pm. Miller, Missouri, FX- Nails double tuck, chest just angled down a little. Front layout front full with a step. Good finish. 9.85

8:14 pm. Boren, Florida, BB- Super weird front toss, like, short and no height? Holds onto it though. Bhs loso, good jump series with a SUPER high straddle jump. Cat leap to gainer loso, full turn, and a gainer full dismount, just brings her feet together. 9.825

8:12 pm. Kern, Missouri, FX- Double pike is short, stumble forward. Good front full front layout. Excellent Rudi. 9.775

8:11 pm. Fassbender, Florida, BB- Front aerial, bhs loso, great side aerial to layout full. 9.775

8:08 pm. Bower, Missouri, FX- Double pike with a great landing. 1.5 to front layout. Double tuck, great job. 9.9

8:07 pm. Ernst, Florida, UB- Side aerial, good. Solid bhs loso. Split to sheep. Full turn and a good gainer pike to finish. Her best beam in the season! 9.875, how did she and Baker get the same score?!?!?! It’s not even Florida bias, it’s just drunk judging.

8:05 pm. Kelly, Missouri, FX- Double pike into a lunge, a little uncontrolled. Melissa Lee is a big MIA fan apparently, LOL. Hit middle pass. Double pike, skidded and one foot goes out-of-bounds. 9.675

8:04 pm. Baker, Florida, BB- Front aerial, pause, bhs. That shouldn’t be a connection but whatever, it probably will be. Sissone to split half with a wobble. Side aerial to layout full with a big hop back. 9.875 #n #o

8:00 pm. Florida leads Missouri 148.45 to 147.275. Florida’s super close to being able to go 198.

7:56 pm. Caquatto, Florida, FX- 2.5, hit, cut out the punch front “because of the sickness” according to Kupets who makes it sound like she has like the Zika virus or something. Oooh, Rudi to bhs loso, haha, I kind of love it. Double pike is short with her chest down but controlled on the landing. 9.85

7:53 pm. Ward, Missouri, BB- Beautiful bhs bhs loso. Switch to pike jump, Her music is “Breathe (2 am)” by Anna Nalick, GREY’S ANATOMY FEELS. Bomb squad guy blowing up in the hallway. Nails the rest, 1.5 with a slight step. 9.875

7:52 pm. Baker, Florida, FX- Arabian double pike, probably her least-controlled, but still awesome, just a step forward. Great double pike, awesome last pass. 9.925

7:50 pm. Schugel, Missouri, BB- Bhs bhs loso, awesome. Hit the rest. Great routine. 9.85

7:48 pm. Sloan, Florida, FX- 1.5 to 2.5 is awesome, slight shuffle. Nails double pike, nearly stuck on two feet. 1.5 to front layout with a tiny hop. Awesome routine. 9.975 so bless the judge who gave her a 10 with a shuffle and a hop.

7:46 pm. Porter, Missouri, BB- Switch to split jump to back tuck, solid. Full turn, good connection on the front aerial to bhs, loose 1.5 with a hop.

7:44 pm. Boren, Florida, FX- Full-in with a wild landing, slips back onto one foot and lifts her front leg but keeps it inside. 1.5 front layout with a step. Double tuck, nicely controlled. 9.9???????????? U DRUNK

7:42 pm. Miller, Missouri, BB- Messy bhs loso with a big wobble and a fall. A little shaky throughout, and hops on her gainer full. 9.275

7:41 pm. Fassbender, Florida, FX- 2.5 to punch front is definitely a little short. Good double pike but the landing isn’t the greatest. 1.5 to punch front pike with a tiny shuffle. 9.875

7:39 pm. Bower, Missouri, BB- Bhs loso, nice. Good jump series. Cat leap to side somi, gainer full with a hop. 9.825

7:37 pm. McLaughlin, Florida, FX- Solid front layout front full. Good Rudi. Front full front pike with a hop. 9.9

7:36 pm. Allbritten, Missouri, BB- Nice front aerial to bhs. Quick full turn. Solid front toss to split jump, and a stuck gainer full to finish. That was a fabulous routine. 9.85

7:32 pm. Florida leads at the halfway point with a 98.875 to Missouri’s 98.05.

7:31 pm. Allbritten, Missouri, UB- Short first handstand, blind change to straddle Jaeger caught so close it’s practically to her face, bail to toe shoot, short last handstand, giant full to double tuck with a step. First time on bars which makes sense. 9.7

7:30 pm. McMurtry, Florida, VT- HUUUUUUGE FTY, deep landing, though…and she hops back. 9.875

7:29 pm. Porter, Missouri, UB- Straddle Jaeger to overshoot, blind changed to double front with a slight hop back. 9.825

7:28 pm. Baker, Florida, VT- Huge Yurchenko 1.5 but she’s a little rushed and wild on the landing and she has a huge hop forward. 9.9

7:27 pm. Schugel, Missouri, UB- Piked Jaeger, bail, giant full to double tuck, sticks at first but then takes a step out cheating into her salute. 9.775

7:26 pm. Boren, Florida, VT- Yurchenko 1.5 with a slight hop forward. Big vault but could use a tiny bit more attention to detail in her form. 9.85

7:25 pm. Kelly, Missouri, UB- Piked Jaeger, very nice, good handstand before her bail, which is a little short, big stuck gorgeous double layout! 9.875

7:24 pm. Sloan, Florida, VT- Might do the 1.5…we’ll see. Nope, FTY, and for good reason because it’s stuck. Very clean and straight in the air. 9.925

7:23 pm. Miller, Missouri, UB- Piked Jaeger is a little low. Bail, big double layout with a step back. Better than I’ve seen from her so far this year. 9.775

7:22 pm. Fassbender, Florida, VT- FTY with a slight hop and a little pike, but her form is otherwise very nice. 9.775

7:21 pm. Huber, Missouri, UB- Blind change to straddle Jaeger to overshoot, double layout, stuck! Excellent work, great for their first up. 9.825

7:20 pm. Caquatto, Florida, VT- Our view of this was from the start of the vault runway LOL. Great. Well, she did an FTY and she hit it. Beyond that we couldn’t see a damn thing. 9.825

7:15 pm. Florida leads 49.5 to Missouri’s 48.975 going into the second rotation. What’s bizarre to me so far is that one of Bridgey’s best routines on bars got only 0.025 higher than one of Bridget’s sloppiest. If they wanna give Sloan a 9.925, fine, but Bridgey’s should’ve been like an 11 in that case haha.

7:14 pm. McMurtry, Florida, UB- Piked first handstand, Tkachev with super flexed feet and bent elbows, bail to toe shoot, piked giants, big stuck full-in 9.875

7:13 pm. Ward, Missouri, VT- Yurchenko half-on front pike, gets zero block and she sits it.

7:12 pm. Sloan, Florida, UB- Ray with the flexiest feet of all time, toe-on to bail with leg sep to toe shoot, short final handstand, double layout with a shuffle. 9.925 ????? no, that was legit her messiest routine all year.

7:11 pm. Porter, Missouri, VT- FTY with a hop, overall a nice vault though. Very clean.

7:10 pm. Caquatto, Florida, UB- Big Ray, GORGEOUS handstand before her toe-on to bail, big stuck double layout. Okay then, Bridgey. That was probably her best bar routine ever?! 9.95

7:09 pm. Harris, Missouri, VT- Big FTY, leaning forward a tiny bit as she tries to stick but she hops.

7:08 pm. Dancose-Giambattisto, Florida, UB- Toe-on to Maloney to super clean bail, big double layout with a step. Clean enough routine! 9.85

7:07 pm. Lewis, Missouri, VT- Pretty solid FTY with a step back.

7:06 pm. Boren, Florida, UB- Tkachev, bail, a little short on her last handstand, double layout with a little shuffle. 9.875

7:05 pm. Kern, Missouri, VT- Yurchenko layout half, big step forward and off to the side.

7:04 pm. Baker, Florida, UB- Big Ray, bail, double front cowboyed in the second flip and she bounces in place. 9.875

7:03 pm. Kelly, Missouri, VT- Huge FTY, though her form is quite loose. 9.775

6:59 pm. Missouri and Florida coming up in just a minute!

  1. That UCLA leo is fun and I kind of like it in the abstract but looking at meet photos dear LORD it is unflattering. It is making girls look big who are in no way big!
