The number of gymnasts participated in the Senior Hungarian apparatus championships is not only disastrous but shameful. Due to the CEO (Z.Magyar) dishonestly got rid of nine senior national squad members. Following his ill-advised single-handed decision which was against the approved Olympic Programme completely wiped out the National Squad. Unfortunately, his idiotic decision caused irreversible damage in MAG in Hungary. During the championships, there was only one routine at international standard which was performed by D.Vecsernyes, European Bronz medallist’s High Bar routine. It is a great shame that a person without expert knowledge in MAG allowed to destroy a National Squad without consequences. Currently, artistic gymnastics has a high-level government financial support.
