5:49 pm. Skye Blakely BB: Needs above a 14.550 to surpass Wong for the bronze. I would say for most on beam this wouldn’t be possible but it could be for her! Great on her mount as always. Triple wolf turn, really strong. Standing full, tiny slide back, but excellent overall. Front handspring to front tuck, little step forward. Switch to switch half, good landing, splits also looked nice. Front aerial to split jump to back handspring, solid. Side aerial with a step back. Double pike, a big lunge back, but a great routine! 14.200

5:45 pm. Kayla DiCello BB: Candle mount and triple wolf turn wentwell. Switch full with a strong landing. Bhs loso loso, tiniest adjustment. Hit the jumps after that. Front aerial with a leg-up wobble. Side aerial, another leg-up wobble, bigger this time, looked like she was going to come off but she saved it! Double pike, chest down, step forward. 12.750

5:44 pm. Dulcy Caylor FX: Double pike, small hop. 1.5 to front full was hit. Clean double tuck at the end. 12.750

5:39 pm. Leanne Wong UB: Clear hip half to straddle Jaeger, good. Toe full to Bhardwaj, really nice! Slight leg separation. Maloney to Pak, maybe a little low, but not bad. Van Leeuwen. Double layout, basically stuck, she is ON FIRE RIGHT NOW. 14.000

Charlotte Booth VT: Yurchenko 1.5, maybe a bit soft in the air, step forward.  13.400

Katelyn Jong UB: I missed this unfortunately! 13.500

Levi Jung-Ruivivar BB: I also missed this. 12.450

Myli Lew FX: …and I missed this. 11.850

5:37 pm. Eveylynn Lowe VT: Yurchenko 1.5, big hop forward, but nice overall. 13.800

Michelle Pineda UB: Toe half to piked Jaeger, toe full to Pak, some leg separation. Toe shoot, small hop back on the double front dismount. 12.850

Kaliya Lincoln BB: Hit the wolf turn, really solid on the bhs layout series. Front aerial to split jump to straddle jump. Had a wobble on something near the end but I couldn’t see what. Solid on the side aerial. Huge double pike with a small hop forward. 12.950

Zoe Miller FX: Bounce back on the double layout. Full-in with a bit of a wild bounce on the landing. Front layout through to double full with a step back. Double tuck, hop back. 12.400

Marissa Neal VT: Yurchenko 1.5, not bad, looked like she bounced forward. 13.700

5:34 pm. Touch for the final half of the final rotation!

5:31 pm. Jordan Chiles FX: 1.5 through to full-in, great landing! Also excellent on the double layout. Hop L turn through to tour jeté full. Double wolf turn. Front layout through to double tuck, bounces back and heels look like they maybe went OOB but maybe not. Switch side half I think? Finishes with a double pike, tiny bounce on that landing.

5:30 pm. Addison Fatta BB: Double wolf turn, save s it from a fall, but then comes off at the end of her bhs loso series. Front aerial, a bit short/pulls up late, jumps are fine, switch leap, switch side, dismounts with a 2.5 with a big lunge forward.

5:26 pm. Simone Biles FX: Full-twisting double layout with a bounce in place. Front full to a STUCK double layout!! Switch to tour jeté full. Biles with the tiniest hop forward, the best it’s looked in competition between classics and here. Switch full rebounded into a little turn. Finishes with a near-stuck double layout. Well, THIS WAS EVERYTHING. Standing ovation!!! 15.400

Madray Johnson BB: Big wobble on her acro series but stays on with no problems. Deep landing kind of on the front aerial but got out of another jam. A little deep on the double tuck dismount, step. 12.800

5:25 pm. Nola Matthews UB: Hop change to straddle Jaeger, nice. Hit something after that to Pak, toe full to van Leeuwen is really nice, nice handstand before the stalder to toe-on to giants into the double layout, clean with a hop! Nice work. 14.050

Amelia Disidore VT: Strong Yurchenko double! 14.000

Does a handspring front pike half for her second vault, pretty good.

5:22 pm. Sunisa Lee VT: Lovely Yurchenko full, a little movement on the landing. 13.400

Ashlee Sullivan BB: Nice on the punch front and triple series! Strong on the double pike dismount.

5:21 pm. Lexi Zeiss UB: Toe full, right to handstand! To van Leeuwen, nice lift. Blind change to Ezhova, some leg form. Shaposh to Pak. Maloney to Gienger, a little low but no problems. Great landing on the full-in. She’s such a queen! 13.750

Alicia Zhou VT: Yurchenko full with a small hop. 13.400

5:19 pm. Jade Carey VT: Gets the Cheng today! Still some form issues but nowhere near what it looked like the other day, solid on the landing. 14.550

Also some soft legs on the Yurchenko double full, but another strong landing! Averages a 14.375.

Joscelyn Roberson FX: Moors and full-twisting double layout, came up short there with a big lunge forward. Front layout full to double tuck with a hop forward. Front layout through to double pike with a hop back. 13.600

Kelise Woolford BB: I msised this sadly! 11.700

5:18 pm. Shilese Jones UB: Stalder full to handstand, amazing, to Chow to Tkachev, excellent! Toe full, also right to handstand, to a huge Downie to Pak. Great van Leeuwen. Toe half to front giant to dobule front, cowboyed, college stick, this is a world bars champion right here, this was absolutely stunning. 15.000

5:04 pm. Jordan Chiles BB: Bhs loso loso, really wobbly, tries to save it but falls. Back on for a front aerial to straddle jump, wobble. Full turn. Side somi, bigger wobble there but not major. Switch to sissone. Side aerial was good. Switch side. Double pike dismount, small step. 12.100

Kaliya Lincoln UB: Stalder full, a bit late. Chow to Tkachev, ugh, slips and comes off. Back on for a Ray to Pak, bends her legs and kind of brushes them. Holds the handstand before the toe-on forever, connects to a van Leeuwen, a bit rough there. Clean double tuck with a bounce in place. 9.900

Eveylynn Lowe FX: Her Memmel at the beginning looked really nice from here! Arabian double front, hop forward. Switch ring to switch half. Hit the next pass, I think a 2.5 to front full? Could have been a 1.5. Good double tuck to finish, bounce back. 13.050

Madray Johnson UB: Hit everything at the beginning, nice toe half to straddle Jaeger. Good routine! 12.950

Simone Biles BB: Hit the switch leap mount to switch half to back pike! Front aerial to split jump to straddle jump, maybe a hair short in the jumps? Nailed the triple flight series. Side aerial. Full-in, small hop back. Simply amazing. 14.850

Alicia Zhou FX: Bounce back on the double pike. Last pass was a double tuck, also a hop there. 12.900

4:56 pm. Touch for the second half!

4:52 pm. Tiana Sumanasekera BB: Candle mount. Bhs bhs layout, strong landing. Front aerial to split jump to Korbut, really nice there. Switch to switch half, a little short and a bobble there. Split ring jump, shape isn’t quite there. Side aerial was strong, doesn’t really connect to the wolf jump, and has a wobble there. Sissone. Full turn. Double pike, great landing, just moves a foot slightly. 13.300

4:48 pm. Jade Carey FX: Full-twisting double layout, step back. Dobule double, some leg form. Front layout through to a strong double pike. Double tuck to finish. 13.100

Joscelyn Roberson BB: Strong standing full! Switch to switch half to back tuck, a little short on the leaps. Side aerial loso loso, little bobble. Had a couple of little things on everything else I saw, double pike dismount was pretty good, looked like a little step there. 13.200

Ashlee Sullivan UB: Missed a release sadly, but that’s all I saw. 9.950

4:46 pm. Kelise Woolford UB: Toe full, some crossed ankles, Maloney to Pak, nice. Good handstand before the van Leeuwen, some leg form throughout there, blind change to straddle Jaeger, height was WIIIIILD!!! But then had to pause on the bar, unfortunately. Hit a stalder after, and then a full-in dismount with a stumble back. 12.000

4:44 pm. Charlotte Booth FX: Front double full, good rotation and landing. Had to kind of run forward out of her second pass. Double tuck was really deep and back on her heels, ends up sitting it. 11.200

Dulcy Caylor BB: Strong bhs loso loso. Nice on the jump series to Korbut. Clean side aerial. Dismounts with a 2.5, step back. 12.400

Shilese Jones VT: Huge and gorgeous Yurchenko double full. Hop back. 14.400

4:42 pm. Katelyn Jong VT: Yurchenko double, some loose legs on the second twist, hop back. 13.800

Marissa Neal FX: Hit the first pass I saw from her. Also had a really strong 2.5. 13.000

Switch to switch half to split ring jump, lovely connections. Side aerial loso loso, slight adjustment at the end of the series. Switch ring, a little slow to the split leap, but overall she is crushing it. Tucked gainer full off the end, this was freaking STUNNING.

4:30 pm. Simone Biles UB: Weiler half to Maloney to kind of a wild full pirouette into the piked Tkachev to Pak, van Leeuwen, toe full was fine today, to full-in, tiny hop! That first series looked like it was done on a wing and a prayer, just rushing a bit too much. But of course she got it under control! 14.050

Alicia Zhou BB: Hit everything I saw at the beginning, back foot could use some correcting on the switch ring, good side aerial, front aerial to jumps, good! Double full dismount. 12.850

4:28 pm. Shilese Jones FX: Double double, ends up a little short and has to hop forward. Triple L turn. Front full through to double tuck was good. Full-in, little scoot back. Hop L turn to switch half. Absolutely beautiful routine. 14.100

Madray Johnson VT: Yurchenko 1.5, really deep landing with a big step to control it. 13.050

Joscelyn Roberson UB: Blind change to Ezhova, Clear hip full finished a little late, Maloney to Pak, some leg separation, toe shoot, clear hip to toe-on, double layout with a hop, good work for her! 11.800

Jade Carey BB: Front aerial, slight adjustment. Bhs loso loso, nearly comes off but fights to stay on. Cross jump full and cross split jump half, switch leap to switch half to straddle is fine. Side aerial, over rotated and comes off. NOOOO. Double tuck, short with a step forward. 12.050

Ashlee Sullivan VT: Yurchenko full, stuck! 13.400

4:21 pm. Touch for the second half!

Side aerial with a small break at the hips but a good correction. Switch half, split ring jump. Front aerial with a big wobble and a major fight but she ends up coming off, sadly. Too bad, this was looking gorgeous. Double full dismount with a step. 11.300

4:17 pm. Dulcy Caylor UB: Toe full to Maloney to Pak, not bad! Nice handstand before the van Leeuwen, that shape was nice. Stalder to blind change to front giant to straddle Jaeger, looked far but got it no problem. Double layout, some leg separation, a little forward on the landing with a step. 12.750

4:14 pm. Leanne Wong FX: Double double, super strong. EXCELLENT double layout! Leanne looks unstoppable!!! Good on the whip half to front full. Beautiful double pike, STUCK COLD. It’s Leanne’s world and we’re all just living in it. She looks like a new athlete. 14.000

Marissa Neal BB: Hit her acro series, then a switch leap to split jump half, a bit short on the latter. Good side aerial. Full L turn had a bit of a bobble. Step back on the double pike dismount. 12.850

4:13 pm. Myli Lew UB: Stalder full to Maloney to Pak to stalder to Chow to Gienger, SO nice, love that series so much! Toe half, noooo, hit her feet on the low bar coming down from handstand! 4:11 pm. Eveylynn Lowe BB: Hit the mount. Little wobble at the end of the bhs bhs layout series. Check at the end of the side aerial loso series. Hop back on the double full dismount. Hit everything else in the interior that I didn’t type! 12.800

4:09 pm. Kayla DiCello VT: Yurchenko double full, some knee form, tiny hop back, strong overall! 14.100

4:06 pm. Kaliya Lincoln VT: Yurchenko double, loses some ankle form in the second twist and has a big step back, but huge! 13.900

Jordan Chiles UB: Nice handstand before the toe full, some form, big pike Tkachev but she misses the bar and rolls out of it on the mat, noooooo. Gets the piked Tkachev to Pak the second time, Maloney to Gienger is so clean, bail to toe shoot, stuck the full-in dismount. 12.950

Amelia Disidore BB: Great layout stepout mount, sadly off on her tick tock to…back handspring? Strong double pike dismount. 12.300

Nola Matthews FX: Landed the first pass well. Front layout full through to 1.5 I think? Or 2.5, I didn’t pay close attention. Strong double tuck. 13.200

3:56 pm. Kelise Woolford FX: Clean double tuck to start. Front tuck through to double full, some ankle form. Switch ring to switch full. 2.5 ended up a bit short but she pulls through with the landing. Switch half before her ending choreo, which I love. 12.150

3:55 pm. Jade Carey UB: Ray, nice. Blind change to Ezhova, nice and calm there. Maloney to Bhardwaj, good! Van Leeuwen was a bit weak in a few senses of the skill. Full pirouette, and a full-in, some form and a hop. 13.250

Zoe Miller VT: Yurchenko 1.5, some form in the air, big hop forward. 13.400*

*So 14.000 is her listed score but they have her D as a 5.0 lmao. Her score should be a 13.4…they just updated it but to a 13.6, like they added a 0.1 bonus instead of subtracting hahahaha. Okay, now they got it. Third time is the charm.

3:34 pm. Amelia Disidore UB: Stalder half to straddle Jaeger, big Church to Pak, straddled her legs there. Hit the rest! 12.750

Addison Fatta FX: 2.5 through to double tuck. Strong double layout. Front double full. 13.250

Jordan Chiles VT: Yurchenko double, big hop back but great in the air, so powerful. 14.250

  1. Lauren with the gymternet buzzin on reddit, and soon youtube, with judges lowballing Jade, do you feel her floor score was too low? She is counting 2 B elements, and has the same D score as Shi and Shi is clearly much cleaner in both tumbling and leaps, so her total score makes sense. She doesn’t have the D cushion anymore. Curious what you think?

  2. So happy for Leanne. She’s so lovely. She definitely helped herself and upped her chances for worlds by getting into top 3 on floor. I still think Simone, Shilese, Leanne and Skye are locks. Barring injury I would be shocked to see any of those 4 not make the team. Jordan hasn’t necessarily knocked herself out but she’s opened the door a bit. Suni is just not there yet but next year will be different. Jade is not there now. If a floor specialist is needed then maybe a Kaliya Lincoln. Perhaps Jocelyn Roberson. Or Jordan may recover her form before worlds camp.

    • I agree with Simone, Shi, Skye. I think Leanne is the most likely as they always bring a backup top 5 consistent score they can throw on anything, which is her. I think Jordan was in the mix for that, but she hit 5/8 routines, so doubtful unless Leanne falls apart at camp.

I see Suni (BB +.5), Kaliya (FX +.35), or Josc (VT +.3) as the specialist versus highest score from the other 4 named above in a 3 up. Whoever they bring will be the most points added at selection camp and has to hit both routines. It’s possible they’ll bring 2 specialists, but seems very out of character for them.

  3. IMO Leanne was lowballed because judges want Blakely in 3rd. Question is if Leanne makes World teams as member or alternate. Hopefully US coaches are smart enough to rest Jones & Biles in Team finals. And Lincoln is not scoring 14’s for her FX from Int’l judges.

  4. I realize this is the rule so I’m not saying somehow Simone was singled out or unfairly judged… I just think this is a stupid rule. The coaches can basically be anywhere and everywhere during a bar routine… sometimes so close that I have to watch on slow motion to see if they touched the gymnast, but a coach standing by the mat for vault is a HALF POINT deduction?? I know it had absolutely no effect on the outcome here but it’s stupid. Vault can go as horribly wrong as bars. Why don’t they care about safety there?
