14. Audree Valdenarro 10.900
Pierson, Esponda, Damelio, and Buddendeck all qualify to nationals!
4:12 pm. Camie Westerman UB: I caught it from the Bhardwaj, toe full to Maloney, minor form throughout, really short n the handstand before the giants to Tkachev, hit the dismount. 12.700
Harlow Buddendeck gets exactly a 52.000!
4:10 pm. Harlow Buddendeck UB: Big Ray! Nice. Bhardwaj was a bit messy. Van Leeuwen as well, just needs to get her legs together. Toe-on to stalder half, legs come apart and she muscles through to get the other half around, that was supposed to be a full. Double layout dismount. 13.100
4:08 pm. Malea Milton FX: Split full. Double layout, pikes it down before landing and has a big hop back. Front full to front tuck ends up really short and nearly sits. Double tuck to finish. 11.700
4:06 pm. Brooke Pierson UB: Stalder full to Maloney with some leg separation to Pak, caught the Jaeger, toe half to double front, cowboyed with a step forward. 13.200
She finishes with a 52.600, ahead of Esponda! Also safe for nationals.
4:03 pm. Reese Esponda UB: Toe full to Maloney to Pak, not bad! Van Leeuwen with minor leg form, toe half to straddle Jaeger, pretty good amplitude, high double tuck with a hop back. 12.450
A 52.350 will bring Esponda to nationals!
Ally Damelio 52.050 AA – she’s qualified to nationals!
Jordis Eichman 51.900 misses by a tenth in the AA, and missed the “specialist” cutoffs as well, as did Sage Bradford (50.250) and Avery Moll (49.700).
4:01 pm. Avery Moll FX: Double L turn. Full-in, comes in too low, hands and knees down it looked like. 1.5 to front layout, a little arched. Switch ring I think, to switch half. Fell out of the wolf turn and put her hands down.
Maliha Tressel VT: 13.000, her AA is a 46.850 which means no nationals sadly!
3:58 pm. Rotation 3 Standings
1. Reese Esponda 39.900
2. Brooke Pierson 39.400
3. Ally Damelio 38.950
4. Harlow Buddendeck 38.900
5. Camie Westerman 38.550
6. Jordis Eichman 38.500
7. Avery Moll 38.250
8. Sage Bradford 37.050
3:54 pm. Sage Bradford FX: Double L turn to full turn. Whip whip to double tuck, got it around but had to take a bounce back on the landing. 1.5 to front full with a lunge forward. Double pike, chest a bit forward but landing was mostly good. 12.500
3:52 pm. Halle Wittenberg BB: Caught this from the side somi. Oh, that was basically it. Double tuck dismount. 11.250
Maliha Tressel FX: 12.850
3:51 pm. Ally Damelio FX: Whip to triple, not quite there on the landing but close enough. Switch ring to tour jeté half I would call that. 1.5 to front full. Double tuck was nice and high, good landing. 13.200
3:47 pm. Avery Moll BB: Hit the layout mount! Great. Bhs loso loso with the tiniest check but gets it around. hit the front aerial to jumps. Switch leap, little check. Switch side, bigger check, just didn’t quite have that section but the rest has gone pretty well I think? Dismounts with a double pike, pretty decent shape! 12.600
Reese Esponda VT: 13.650
Brooke Pierson VT: 13.550
3:43 pm. Malea Milton BB: Front tuck to jump series, not bad. Hit the bhs loso. Switch leap, pauses and does some choreo before the switch half which isn’t quite there. Hit the side aerial. Full turn. Side somi, big break at the hips, falls. 10.600
Sabrina Visconti FX: Saw parts of this and it all looked like it went well? 12.250
Camie Westerman VT: 13.450
Jordis Eichman VT: 13.300
3:40 pm. Rotation 2 Standings
1. Reese Esponda 26.250
2. Harlow Buddendeck 26.100
3. Brooke Pierson 25.850
4. Ally Damelio 25.750
5. Avery Moll 25.650
6. Jordis Eichman 25.200
7. Camie Westerman 25.100
8. Malea Milton 24.900
3:37 pm. Ally Damelio BB: Hit the back handspring mount before a bhs loso acro series. Front aerial to split jump to straddle jump to Korbut, mostly nice! Squatted through the wolf turn and didn’t finish the way she wanted but no fall at least. Onodi, bent her legs significantly after the turn before landing. Switch leap. Double full with a large hop back. 12.450
3:36 pm. Brooke Pierson FX: Full-in, small hop back. 1.5 to front full is pretty good, tiny bounce. Switch half into the corner is a bit random and also looked slightly short. Double tuck, step back. Switch to tour jeté half. Good routine! 12.950
3:35 pm. No super exciting scores this rotation outside of Esponda’s floor score, which just came in as a 13.95. Everything mostly in the 11-12 range.
3:33 pm. Audree Valdenarro BB: Bhs loso loso, just a little crooked throughout and falls. Front aerial with a wobble, doesn’t connect to the sissone to straddle jump. Switch leap, kinda low back leg, to a split leap. Good side somi. Just a layout dismount.
3:31 pm. Reese Esponda FX: Double double, minor form near the end but strong overall! Small step. Double layout maybe came down a little low but no problems keeping it upright. Front half to double tuck was really cool. Double pike to finish. 13.950!
3:29 pm. Maliha Tressel BB: Front tuck mount with a little bobble. Hit the leap to jump series mostly well. Bhs loso, knees are practically right angles throughout and she ends up short at the end and falls sadly. Punch front with a small step. Double wolf turn. Hit the dismount. 10.250
3:25 pm. Camie Westerman FX: Wasn’t typing at the beginning but she hit everything I saw, first pass looked a little rushed, maybe 2.5 to front lay or something? 1.5 to front full was fine, just slightly soft hips and knees. 12.900
3:22 pm. Harlow Buddendeck FX: Triple full came up a bit short and ended in a bit of a lunge. Also kinda wildly stumbled out of the Memmel turn. Tour jeté full, ambitious! 1.5 to front layout, some form in her body position and in every other possible way in that front lay. Hit the leap series after. Double pike with a lunge back. 12.650
3:18 pm. That’s it for the first rotation!
Camie Westerman BB: 12.200
3:14 pm. Reese Esponda BB: Double wolf turn. Standing back tuck looked solid. Bhs layout, some bent knees throughout. Switch leap, low back leg, side aerial to split jump to straddle jump, form is weak there and she also kinda misses her feet on the landing, big break at the hips. Double pike looked clean in the air, mostly solid on the landing. 12.300
3:12 pm. Jordis Eichman BB: Strong acro series to start. Switch leap to switch half to back tuck, minor form on the latter two mostly but again mostly solid! Side aerial to jump, missed the connection to the straddle jump. 12.500
3:09 pm. Going to put some scores in as I see them come in!
Ally Damelio UB: 13.300
Avery Moll VT: 13.100
Halle Wittenberg VT: 13.000
Malea Milton VT: 12.400
Sabrina Visconti UB: 11.550
3:08 pm. Maliha Tressel UB: Ricna, flexed feet and she misses the catch. Back on and gets a bit lost in a giant full before the Pak, legs apart but got it back together, toe shoot back to the high bar, stuck the full-in, just some leg form in the air. 10.750
3:05 pm. Harlow Buddendeck BB: Back handspring mount with a slight check. Bhs loso loso, chest a little forward when she landed it but got it around! Switch to switch half. Front aerial to split jump to Korbut, mostly nice, split could’ve been a little more…split. Switch side was mostly fine in the air, little check on the landing. Double pike with her chest down and a step. 13.450
3:04 pm. Sage Bradford UB: Toe full, Maloney to Pak I believe came after that, then van Leeuwen with some leg form. Blind change to straddle Jaeger, some foot form. High double tuck with a small hop back. 12.800
3:03 pm. MyUSAGym no longer does live scores via browser so I had to download the app and it’s somehow even worse than it used to be so congratulations to USAG for that! There’s also this ScoreCat thing which is somehow even worse.
3:02 pm. Brooke Pierson BB: Hit the acro series well enough. Switch leap to sissone, minor errors in her feet and legs. Front aerial, had a wobble on a side aerial later but nothing severe. Double full with some leg form but lands it well. 12.900
3:01 pm. Rotation one is just now getting underway!
