4. Joe Fraser, Great Britain, 14.533
5. Camilo Vera, Colombia, 14.366
6. Marios Georgiou, Cyprus, 14.066
7. Luciano Letelier, Chile, 13.900
8. Eldrew Yulo, Philippines, 13.366
11:43 am. Joe Fraser GBR HB: Tak half to Kolman, clean! Liukin, some bent arms after, Cassina was a little low but solid in the air, layout Tkachev, blind change to Zou Li Min, Tak full was RIGHT over the bar! Dismounts with a double twisting double layout with a hop back, tidy routine, not as exciting as some before this but still a lot of difficult elements! 14.533 (6.2, 8.333)
11:39 am. Camilo Vera COL HB: Tak full was slightly late, Tak half to stalder layout Tkachev, a little close on the catch, muscles out of it, Cassina was great, to Kolman, also strong, to a stalder. Hop full, then dismounts with a double twisting double layout, almost stuck, an arm wave though so don’t think they’d say it’s a stick. 14.366 (5.8, 8.466, +0.1 B)
11:37 am. Angel Barajas COL HB: Good Tak full, Tak half to stalder layout Tkachev full to Gienger, CRAZY. Cassina to Kolman, some form but also wild. Double twisting double layout with a step back. Such a fast but packed routine, it’s unreal. 14.833 (6.7, 8.133)
11:34 am. Marios Georgiou CYP HB: Decent on the Tak full, Tak half goes well also, really nice on the Cassina and Kolman, form was lovely on both, I think did an inbar out of the Kolman, hop full, blind change to Zou Li Min, double twisting double layout, deep but I think that’s a stick, wobbled his arms though. But wow! So nice overall. 14.066 (5.5, 8.566)
11:29 am. Luciano Letelier CHI HB: Tak full, Tak half had some leg separation but connects to the Kolman, also some form there. Cassina technique is a bit weird but he gets it around. Layout Tkacheve was pretty low and his feet almost brush the bar but he connected to the Gienger! Hop full, and dismounts with a full-twisting double layout, small hop. 13.900 (5.8, 8.100)
11:25 am. Milad Karimi KAZ HB: Tak half to Liukin, stalder layout Tkachev full, Cassina, some form, Kolman was better, lots of front giants in different grips, double twisting double layout, bent his knees a bit on the second twist but a big routine! 14.933 (6.4, 8.533)
11:22 am. Eldrew Yulo PHI HB: Tak half was a bit late, Cassina, Kolman, a little close on the latter, Tak, stalder, double twisting double layout with a hop. 13.366 (4.9, 8.466)
11:18 am. Tang Chia-Hung TWN HB: Lovely Cassina, Tak half to Liukin, beautiful. Layout Tkachev, blind change to Tak full, almost perfect and right into a WHY can’t I think of the name of it but he does a back uprise over the bar and then 1.5 rotations before catching omg am I having a stroke omg WALSTROM I got there, Zou Li Min, double twisting double layout, FABULOUS!!! 15.233 (6.5, 8.633, +0.1 B)
11:05 am. WOMEN’S FLOOR FINAL STANDINGS
1. Elena Colas, France, 13.133
2. Lia Monica Fontaine, Canada, 13.100
– Maïana Prat, France, 13.100
4. July Marano, Italy, 13.000
5. Benedetta Gava, Italy, 12.866
6. Karina Schönmaier, Germany, 12.533
7. Charlize Mörz, Austria, 12.266
8. Charleen Pach, Germany, 11.766
11:01 am. Charleen Pach GER FX: Memmel turn. Double pike with a step back, looked OOB but her heel didn’t touch I don’t think. 1.5 to front full, leg form on both was pretty significant. Switch leap to tour jeté half, short on the latter. 2.5 was really messy in the air and had a rough landing, big stumble back. 11.766 (5.1, 6.766, -0.1 ND)
10:56 am. Charlize Mörz AUT FX: Front full through to double tuck, hop back and heels go OOB. Double L turn. double layout, some leg separation in the air but a strong landing. Wolf hop through to tour jeté full, some form in that leap. Just a back layout for her third pass. Dobule pike, really deep landing and a lunge forward. Think she had a triple turn at the end. 12.266 (5.3, 7.066, -0.1 ND)
10:52 am. Elena Colas FRA FX: Whip whip to triple full, big step out to the side to control the landing but solid pass overall. Double tuck with a small hop back. Switch ring to tour jeté half I believe for her leap pass. Front tuck through to double full, good. Small hop back on the double pike. Lovely work, I hope this takes over the top spot! AND SHE DOES! Just barely. 13.133 (5.2, 7.933)
10:49 am. Maïana Prat FRA FX: 1.5 through to double tuck. Obsessed that her opening music is “Unholy” lmao. I didn’t notice that at Jesolo I guess? Switch ring to split ring leap full, wowsers. Front full to front full, some soft knees, hop back. Split ring half. 2.5 with some crossed legs. Got the wolf turn around. Good routine! 13.100 (5.5, 7.600) – matches Fontaine exactly!
10:44 am. Benedetta Gava ITA FX: Strong full-in to start. Whip to double tuck with a hop back. Front double full had some leg form but she got it around nicely. Double wolf turn. Double pike was a bit short, chest down and a hop…but nice work overall! 12.866 (5.3, 7.566)
10:41 am. Karina Schönmaier GER FX: Double double, a little low but lands it without an issue aside from a low chest. 1.5 to front full with a step forward. Switch half with minor picky form. Switch ring to tour jeté half. Double tuck, chest down and a hop back. 12.533 (5.2, 7.333)
10:37 am. July Marano ITA FX: Full-in with a big hop back. 1.5 to front full looked really good. Also had some turns between those passes that were nice but I didn’t write them down and naturally forgot. Memmel turn after the second pass. Double pike with a bounce back. Switch leap to switch straddle half ish kind of? 13.000 (5.5, 7.500)
10:32 am. Lia Monica Fontaine CAN FX: Big double double to start, hop back. Double L turn, little stumbly but not bad. Double layout with a strong landing, chest down? Triple turn. Switch leap was really short, to tour jeté half, some foot form there. Triple wolf turn was good. Front tuck through to double tuck, a little short with a tiny hop. 13.100 (5.5, 7.600)
They submitted an inquiry for this, I assume on dance, but the score didn’t change and honestly fair because I don’t know what wasn’t credited but she had a lot of dance that was a little shady.
10:18 am. PARALLEL BARS FINAL STANDINGS
1. Angel Barajas, Colombia, 14.866
2. Donnell Whittenburg, United States, 14.600
3. Ferhat Arican, Türkiye, 14.333
4. Joe Fraser, Great Britain, 13.933
5. Jonas Rushworth, Great Britain, 13.900
6. Hung Yuan-Hsi, Taiwan, 13.666
7. Jorman Alvarez, Colombia, 13.633
8. Krisztofer Meszaros, Hungary, 13.066
10:13 am. Angel Barajas COL PB: Great start, I would say his pirouettes are quick and controlled mostly but sometimes are giving rushed maybe?? But everything in the opening sequence went well, Makuts good, 1.5 pirouette was a bit messy, then he got archy on a half turn. Piked double front looked stuck! 14.866 (6.1, 8.666, +0.1 B)
10:10 am. Jonas Rushworth GBR PB: Wasn’t typing for this but I think he looked good overall, had a lot of control, dismount had a step back. 13.900 (5.7, 8.200)
10:06 am. Ferhat Arican TUR PB: Lovely first half turn, holds the handstand for one business day, next pirouette was a little sloppy but not that bad, good half turn out and then transition between the rails. Beautiful Makuts and pirouette after. Double front half, little hops back. One of the more controlled routines I’ve personally seen him do in a while I think! I feel like whenever I watch him he just looks rushed or nervous but this was brilliant. 14.333 (5.7, 8.633)
10:03 am. Hung Yuan-Hsi TWN PB: Oop I stepped away during the break and didn’t make it back for the routine, just saw the dismount landing in the replay which was a lil hoppy. 13.666 (5.4, 8.266)
10:00 am. Touch for the second half is underway!
9:57 am. Krisztofer Meszaros HUN PB: Front pike to handstand went nicely. Short on a handstand after but got the back salto, maybe a little low. Bhavsar was fine I think, clean Tippelt, got stuck halfway through the Makuts and then kinda fell out of a handstand after. Double front dismount with a hop. 13.066 (5.5, 7.566)
9:53 am. Donnell Whittenburg USA PB: Rushed through a half turn early on but everything before that was pretty great, massive saltos, double back was insane, big front straddle as well, double front half, stuck it! 14.600 (5.8, 8.700, +0.1 B)
9:49 am. Joe Fraser GBR PB: Lovely handstands at the start, going cleanly through pirouettes, precise on the single rail transition, oh, idk what salto he even just did, front tuck half? Had some form coming out of it that was maybe a little wonky. Double front half dismount was a bit low with some form and a step. 13.933 (5.6, 8.333)
9:46 am. Jorman Alvarez COL PB: Gets through the Makuts well, single rail transition with a pirouette out, very nice, rushed another single transition after that but went into the Tippelt well, got the Bhavsar but may have hit the bar? Does the full-twisting double tuck off the front of the bars, very Colombia of him, I’m obsessed. 13.633 (5.5, 8.133)
9:40 am. Athletes are being introduced for the parallel bars final now!
9:32 am. BALANCE BEAM FINAL STANDINGS
1. Manila Esposito, Italy, 13.666
2. Elena Colas, France, 13.433
3. Tian Zhuofan, China, 13.266
4. Ruby Stacey, Great Britain, 13.066
5. Vanesa Masova, Czechia, 13.033
6. Zala Trtnik, Slovenia, 12.866
7. Ceren Biner, Türkiye, 11.600
8. Pauline Schäfer, Germany, 11.166
9:27 am. Manila Esposito ITA BB: Bhs mount to loso to bhs, goes really crooked and has a big wobble but somehow saves it! Switch to split jump half to bhs I think was the next combo, really lovely leaps. Front aerial to split jump. Side aerial, chest down. Wolf turn goes well. Hits the double pike dismount. 13.666 (5.6, 8.066)
9:23 am. Vanesa Masova CZE BB: Lovely extension on the switch mount to switch half. Bhs loso also so nice. Got the double wolf turn and a nice front aerial, then dances right out of it, god she is gorgey!! Switch leap, wobble. Split jump to wolf jump. Side somi. Stuck front layout full dismount!! 13.033 (5.1, 7.933)
9:19 am. Ceren Biner TUR BB: Off on her back pike mount, noooo. Side walkover to bhs form was a bit wild but gets it around and then also hits her jump series. Front aerial, split jump full, cross straight jump full, all pretty good. Wobbly in her double wolf turn. Double pike, chest down and a hop forward. 11.600 (5.3, 6.300)
9:15 am. Ruby Stacey GBR BB: Switch leap mount. Double wolf turn, not bad. Side aerial loso, minor form but solid on the landing. Front aerial, switch leap, I think meant to connect out of both of those but was a bit hesitant, split jump to sissone was nice. Really cowboyed on the double tuck dismount but lands it well! 13.066 (5.2, 7.866)
9:13 am. Touch for the second half underway!
9:10 am. Pauline Schäfer GER BB: Switch leap mount to split leap, a little rushed but still controlled! Steady bhs loso. Side aerial. Off on a switch ring, ugh. Wobbled out of the double turn but brings back the control. Off again on her eponymous side somi half, nooooo. Front aerial to split jump to stag ring jump, nice. Gainer off the end. 11.166 (5.2, 6.066, -0.1 ND)
9:05 am. Zala Trtnik SLO BB: Back dive mount. Really smooth triple wolf turn! Switch leap, looks like she wants to connect but then stops herself. Side aerial loso, lovely! Front aerial. Split jump to sissone. She’s clean on basically everything so far. 1.5 dismount with a hop forward. 12.866 (5.0, 7.866)
9:01 am. Elena Colas FRA BB: Hit the switch leap mount. Front handspring to front tuck, low and looks like she grabs the beam maybe? Or touches it. Stays on though! Double wolf turn. Nails the bhs loso loso. Switch to split jump half, short on the latter. Front aerial to split jump to straddle jump, straddle was also a bit shy of where it should be. Side aerial with a slight hip check. Double pike, small hop back. 13.233 (5.7, 7.533)
Oop, looks like an inquiry for Colas to push her ahead of Tian – D score was changed to a 5.9 and she now has a 13.433 (5.9, 7.533).
8:56 am. Tian Zhuofan CHN BB: Lovely front walkover mount to a split ring jump to Korbut. Stumble on the roundoff layout and she falls. Ugh. Front aerial to split jump to back handspring was so nice. Clean full turn. Switch ring to back handspring to straddle jump to sissone, LORD WHY DID SHE FALL. Cross split jump half to back loop. Small hop on the double pike, chest a little low as well. I’m so obsessed with this routine. 13.266 (6.5, 6.766)
8:50 am. Starting the WAG beam final shortly!
8:46 am. MEN’S VAULT FINAL STANDINGS
1. Harry Hepworth, Great Britain, 14.616
2. Artur Davtyan, Armenia, 14.583
3. Nazar Chepurnyi, Ukraine, 14.583
4. Kameron Nelson, United States, 14.183
5. Aleksei Usachev, Russia, 14.149
6. Luke Whitehouse, Great Britain, 14.083
7. Pau Jimenez, Spain, 13.799
8. Jonas Danek, Czechia, 13.699
8:40 am. Kameron Nelson USA VT: Handspring randi, crossed ankles throughout the entirety of this, rotation is slightly off so he ends up the tiniest big short both in that sense and in his body position, chest down a bit, little hop. 14.366 (5.2, 9.166)
Handspring double front was fabulous! Tiny hop forward but so nice overall. Some girlies in the crowd are absolutely SCREECHING. 14.000 (4.8, 9.200)
Averages a 14.183 to move into fourth place.
8:37 am. Luke Whitehouse GBR VT: Dragulescu, looked pretty good to me for the most part, the usual knee form, lands a bit short with his chest down and a step forward. 14.133 (5.2, 8.933)
Ooooh, sticks the Kas 1.5! Big leg separation on and off the horse, but he tightens up until the landing, some more leg form there, looked stuck to me, but maaaaaybe moves one foot slightly. Yeah, they didn’t give him the bonus. 14.033 (4.8, 9.233)
Averages a 14.083.
8:34 am. Pau Jimenez ESP VT: My stream got wonky and glitchy, I THINK I saw a Kas 1.5 in the replay but I couldn’t lock in on his form. 13.833 (4.8, 9.033)
Next up is a handspring double front, really pushes it around to get his landing position correct, maybe overdoes it slightly, takes a sizeable step forward. 13.766 (4.8, 8.966)
Averages a 13.799
8:31 am. Nazar Chepurnyi UKR VT: Beautiful Dragulescu!!! I think his was the best in the air so far, and his landing is fab, so upright, and takes the babiest of baby hops back. 14.566 (5.2, 9.366)
Second vault is a Kas double full, SO tight in the air, minor ankle separation at the very end, doesn’t get a TON of distance here and lands with his chest at his knees and a little step. 14.600 (5.2, 9.400)
Averages a 14.583 to tie Davtyan but the tie-break puts him in third!
8:28 am. Touch for the second half!
8:24 am. Harry Hepworth GBR VT: Piked Dragulescu, the stream jumped into it really fast and didn’t show us any replays so I couldn’t really see it but it looked hit, Croatia is anti Harry, start the rumor! 14.733 (5.6, 9.133)
Handspring randi for HIS second vault as well, mostly strong in the air, minor soft knees, little bounce on the landing. 14.500 (5.2, 9.300)
Averages a 14.616 to move ahead of Davtyan!
8:21 am. Artur Davtyan ARM VT: Sticks a Dragulescu OF COURSE. Why wouldn’t he???? Some open legs in the air and his chest is low but not severely. What a diva. 14.766 (5.2, 9.466, +0.1 B)
Handspring randi, really nice in the air, hop back and a little balance check, but gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. 14.400 (5.2, 9.200)
Averages a 14.583.
8:18 am. Aleksei Usachev RUS VT: Handspring randi, huge power, some minor leg separation throughout and has a big step and slide back. 14.233 (5.2, 9.033)
Next up is a Dragulescu, leg separation in the air but not more than you normally see on this vault, chest is really low on the landing and he has to hop forward. 14.066 (5.2, 8.866)
Averages a 14.149.
8:15 am. Jonas Danek CZE VT: Yurchenko 2.5, pretty lovely! Some soft elbows on the block and knees for a second in the air, lands with a step forward and then some little baby steps to steady himself. 13.866 (4.8, 9.066)
Second vault is a Kas 1.5, I think this was a little nicer in the air, but lands a bit short and has to take a hop back and to the side, goes OOB. 13.533 (4.8, 8.833, -0.1 ND)
Averages a 13.699.
8:12 am. Touch warmups are underway!
8:06 am. Ohhhhh Danusia Francis doing commentary today! Yay!
Things are just getting started in the arena so I’d imagine it’ll be another 5-10 minutes before the men’s vault action starts.
