  1. 57 – 58 is not a bad AA score for the top 4 or 5… Do you see those as key players for their team that would almost surely likely to be at worlds?

    • Well Japan sent their world’s team so they are all going (In my opinion they should replace Sasada with Murakami because Sasada has really struggled basically this whole year and only made the team because she’s a better AA than Murakami but Murakami would be more useless in a team final for VT & FX). For China, Wang Yan is definitely going because they need her VT & FX for the team final. I don’t think Chen Siyi will make it though; she’s good at all four events but doesn’t really have a team final worthy event other than her DTY. But if Mao Yi can get her DTY together, I think she will go because she has a team final worthy FX routine. I think the only other girl who will go to worlds for China is Fan Yilin because she is one of their best on both UB & BB and hopefully she hits in event finals. The other girls are good, but not capable of contributing in more than one event in a team final situation or are outscored by other members who didn’t go to Asian Championships (i.e. Shang Chunsong, Huang Huidan, and Tan Jiaxin who believe are all going to Glasglow). My Predictions for a team final would go something like

      VT: Yan, Jiaxin, Yi
      UB: Yilin, Huidan, Jiaxin
      BB: Chunsong, Yilin, Yan
      FX: Chunsong, Yan, Yi

  2. It’s a shame Wang Yan fell on her double double on FX. She would’ve won the AA and China would have won TF if she didn’t have that unfortunate mishap. Really impressed with Fan Yilin though. Seems like she could become a lock for Glasglow if she hits in event finals!
