Due to technical issues, there was no floor exercise mat available so the competition featured results based on just vault, bars, and beam.

  1. It’s cool to see a few of the girls from less major countries getting high 13’s/14’s (namely the Egyptian and Algerian gymnasts who got silver and bronze.)

    In regards to the Nigerian team all getting <1.000 on bars, would that be a result of lack of skills + missing all CRs? I don't think I've seen scores in the decimals before. I wonder what their training conditions are like, because their vault scores – while not medal-contending level – aren't crazy low.
