MONDAY FEBRUARY 8
11:52 pm. SO, Cal defeats Arizona with a HUUUUUUUUGE 196.825!!! Incredible. And Arizona is fierce as well with a 196.0. Excellent job to both teams. Look at Cal, finally doing what they are capable of?!
Over in Seattle, Oregon State wins 195.325 to Washington’s 194.275. Now that we know Washington is capable of two points higher than what they got tonight, it was a bummer seeing them have mistakes and issues.
11:44 pm. Northey, Washington, FX- Does a little eyebrow nod to someone, adorable. Nails double pike. Great 1.5 to front layout. Gorgeous double tuck. Great finish. 9.9

11:26 pm. Schaefer, Washington, FX- Big double tuck. Excellent front full to front layout. Ooh, that’s right, I remember when she injured her Achilles last year. They’re talking about it now. Double pike, skids but doesn’t put her hands down. 9.725
11:24 pm. Palomares, Cal, FX-Double pike a little over but she holds onto it. Nice front layout to front layout half to back tuck. Struggles to get her turns around but she does. Super low double tuck, and she bounces back onto her butt. Noooo! 9.225

11:10 pm. Radermacher, OSU, FX- Oh my goodness, her mom passed away a couple of days ago and she has full tears in her eyes. I’m crying. Front double full to front tuck, excellent 2.5 with a controlled step forward. Front full front tuck, beautiful. Aww big hugs from everyone and some of her teammates are crying a little. Poor thing. 9.8

11:06 pm. Schneider, Arizona, FX- I missed this whole thing but it was fully absolutely hit. 9.9
Perez, OSU, FX- Double pike, chest down. She HAD to do toddler pageants as a wee one? Attempts a triple spin I think, but it’s messy. Really weird middle pass…front layout half? But it was mostly tucked? She has this problem on vault too, her layouts are just so disfigured lately. 1.5 to front full, a little short. So the middle pass was a front half to back tuck to front tuck and she does like, the most horrifying Shushunova ever, LOL. Like you can’t tell if it was a Shushunova or a legit fall. Oh, Risa! Of course she’s still smiling. 9.575

11:00 pm. Howe, Cal, BB-Front aerial to split jump to ring jump, check on bhs loso, loooove her little leg hold thing, clean side aerial to layout full with a step. 9.875
Yacalis, Washington, BB- Check on front tuck mount, bhs loso is steady, full turn, cat leap to split leap with a pause into the back tuck to pike jump to beat jump, so much connected! Love! 1.5 stuck. 9.4, think she missed some requirements
10:58 pm. Mattson, Arizona, FX- Good double pike. 1.5 to front pike. Double tuck, chest down. 9.85

10:51 pm. Felix-Terrazas, Arizona, FX- Nice big full-in tuck to start. 1.5 is short coming into her punch front but hits the layout anyway. Slightly over-rotated double tuck somehow with her chest down as well. 9.825
10:49 pm. Owens, Cal, BB- First beam of the year! Lovely bhs bhs loso. Short on switch leap but nice into cat leap. Good double full with a little bounce. 9.7
10:47 pm. Cindric, Arizona, FX- Double pike, a little over-rotated and she falls backwards basically into the arms of the person there to move the four-inch mat, LOL. Hits front full to front layout but her form is loose. 1.5 to punch front. 9.1

10:37 pm. Northey, Washington, UB- Lovely first handstand, blind change to piked Jaeger, UGH, falls! Noooo. They’ll have to count a fall. She just looks a little too far away. Catches piked Jaeger to overshoot on the second attempt, loses swing after an awkward handstand and has to regroup, and then just doesn’t have any gas left in her, lands full-in HARD on her hands and knees. Oof. She’s laughing though!! She’s probably like yep that happened. Onto the next thing. 8.325

Ricci, OSU, VT- FTY, piked down at the end with a big rebound back. 9.725

Richardson, Cal, UB- Nice first handstand, toe on to good Tkachev to overshoot, double layout a little short with a hop. 9.775
Perez, OSU, VT- Tucked Yurchenko full. I thought this was a mistake last week and that it was supposed to be a layout? Does she tuck on purpose? She looks too happy for it to be a mistake, haha. 9.65
10:20 pm. Cal leads Arizona 49.2 to 48.925 and Washington leads Oregon State 48.875 to 48.625. Nice and close so far!

S. Colussi-Pelaez, OSU, UB- Stalder to low Tkachev, that was a butt grazer, bail, double layout but also with fully bent knees?! Is the high bar lower over there for some reason? 9.525

10:11 pm. Spencer, Arizona, UB- Gienger, nice bail, giant full to double tuck stuck! 9.8
Gardiner, OSU, UB- Maloney to bail, over-arches handstand, and then when she gets up to the high bar she arches over again on a handstand and has to hop off. Stalder to double tuck. 9.25

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 6
12:55 am. BYU takes this one, 195.575 to Alaska’s 190.9! Alaska didn’t get off to the best start, but had a great finish with their meet-best 48.525 on floor!
12:50 am. Boggasch, Alaska, FX- “She has a very deep, dark, intense…” “Intensity.” Great double pike! Front tuck through to a random loso, side pass. Double tuck, a little cowboyed with her chest down. 9.55
12:48 am. Halliday, BYU, BB- Switch to straddle 1/4, solid bhs loso, full turn, front aerial to scale, roundoff to 1.5 with a small hop forward. 9.85
12:47 am. Matsunami, Alaska, FX- Great 2.5 to start, just a tiny under-rotated. Whip half to either a front layout half or Rudi, I didn’t really see it. Rudi to loso, messy legs but a good set. 9.7
12:45 am. Vidmar, BYU, BB- Front aerial to scale, “Nastia Liukin performed that in the last Olympics.” Hahaha. Front aerial to two-foot bhs, love it! Switch to straddle 1/4, roundoff into the gainer layout with a college stick landing. 9.85
12:42 am. Randolph, Alaska, FX- Front full to front full, great! Awesome whip half to Rudi. Her music is SUPER fun. Nice Rudi to finish. 9.775
12:41 am. Jones, BYU, BB- Side somi, switch to straddle 3/4, bhs loso with a big pause before but it’s super solid, full turn, stuck 1.5 with her feet apart and her chest down. 9.85
12:39 am. York, Alaska, FX- Double tuck is a little short. Way short on her second pass, I think a Rudi? Or a double full. I didn’t see whether it was a front or back entry. Lands sideways. Guessing Rudi. 1.5 to front tuck, hit. 9.4
12:38 am. Harward, BYU, BB- Good front toss, full turn, nails bhs loso. Switch with a check before the tuck 3/4. These two lady commentators remind me of Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer doing “Schweddy Balls” on SNL. Stuck gainer full with her feet apart. 9.625
12:36 am. Penker, Alaska, FX- Doing “Sail” as her music. Double pike is great. Excellent 1.5 to front layout. The commentator who clearly wasn’t a gymnast said “one of the first layouts the Seawolves have done all night!” which I don’t really understand. Oh color commentary! Double tuck is solid. 9.8
12:34 am. To, BYU, BB- Switch to straddle 1/4, front aerial with a big check, and she’ll have to repeat her series…front aerial to bhs, slow connection but hit this time. Full L turn with a slight check. Ooh, she just jumped into her side somi! I don’t think I’ve ever seen it done like that before?! Pretty cool. Double full dismount looked stuck, maybe a shuffle. 9.675
12:32 am. Ross, Alaska, FX- Nice double pike to start. Punches into a front layout half into a Rudi, cool. Nails the double tuck. 9.7
12:31 am. Trejo, BYU, BB- Front toss to her butt, and she falls. Bhs loso is low with messy legs, but she fights to stay on. Beat jump to side aerial. Switch to straddle jump, full turn, gainer full with a hop back. 9.025
12:22 am. BYU holds their lead, 146.7 to Alaska’s 142.375 going into the final rotation. Alaska had their best rotation on beam, though, with a 48.075 including a nice 9.825 from Matsunami!
12:18 am. Greenlief, BYU, FX- Roundoff right into a double tuck, controlled lunge. Good jumps. Front layout to front full with a hop that almost takes her out-of-bounds but she just keeps it in. Oh, looked like she was attempting a Rudi but misses her feet and lands sideways and out-of-bounds. 9.075
12:16 am. Daniels, Alaska, BB- Side aerial, misses connection, but the second time hits it, the side aerial to roundoff. Wolf turn with a tiny wobble as she lands. Great jump series. Side somi with extended legs, and a front gainer full with a little step. 9.475

12:12 am. Halliday, BYU, FX- Nice double tuck to start. Oh my goodness this is the whitest routine I’ve ever seen LOL. It’s like hip hop? OH LAWD. I’m sure it’s a crowd pleaser at BYU when the fans are going nuts but in this crowd where they don’t know her it’s hilariously awkward. 1.5 to front layout, good finish. Great routine but yeah she just looked SUPER white. 9.85
12:09 am. York, Alaska, BB- Beat jump, just for fun. Lovely side aerial. Another side aerial this time connected to her roundoff, she missed the connection the first time. Switch side. She’s a super slow and methodical beam worker but it’s worth it for the steadiness she’s giving us. Gainer pike off the end of the beam, her butt’s down a little but it’s not bad. 9.575
12:08 am. Trejo, BYU, FX- Double pike, excellent. 1.5 to front layout is also very nice. Whip to double full!! Nice for a last pass! 9.7

11:55 pm. Whatever. BYU now leads 97.875 to Alaska’s 94.3.
11:54 pm. Oh, I may have missed that Hill was actually competing…I think they said she was an exhibition. Douglas was the one with the really big FTY I think.

11:46 pm. Westergard, BYU, VT- Tucked FTY, very low block, and she sits. 9.05
11:44 pm. Penker, Alaska, UB- Giant half and I don’t even know WHAT happens here? But when she’s in her handstand, she slips and like, falls ONTO the high bar? They’re showing it again, it looks like she missed her grip after the giant half and her hand just totally slipped. She bounced off the high bar onto the mat. Yikes. Tries it again this time, Jaeger, clear hip to bail with split legs, giant full to double tuck, hit with her chest down. 9.0
11:43 pm. To, BYU, VT- Yurchenko tucked 1.5, nice!

11:40 pm. Douglas, BYU, VT- Huuuuge FTY! Big rebound back. 9.8
11:38 pm. Fishburn, Alaska, UB- Gienger is nice, giant half to straddleback arches over and she doesn’t come off…starts her swing again, and NOW she falls. Full-out dismount with a step forward after she gets back up. 9.1

11:23 pm. Kulczyk, BYU, UB- Lovely Gienger, bail with super messy legs (basically a V), pings off a little too early for her double layout and she has to hop forward. 9.625
11:22 pm. Konkright, Alaska, VT- Yurchenko layout with a step back. Nice and big. 9.575
11:21 pm. Wilde, BYU, UB- Decent first handstand, blind full to Gienger, looked like it was laid out! Nice bail, short last handstand, AWESOME stuck double layout. 9.875

8:44 pm. Hlawek, Auburn, FX- Front layout front full, hit. Double back is good.
THROWING IN LSU AND ARKANSAS! Started a teeny bit late though. So many meets, so little time.
8:42 pm. Lehrmann, Oklahoma, BB- Front aerial, great flight series, Shushunova, 1.5 stuck on her toes…really fights like crazy for it!
8:41 pm. Milliet, Auburn, FX- Beautiful Rudi, hit middle pass, finishes with a solid double pike.
8:40 pm. Kmieciak, Oklahoma, BB- Saw the bhs loso and a sky high double tuck, hit routine.
8:39 pm. Jay, Georgia, FX- Half-in half-out, she’s SO excited and is huge on the landing, stepping out. Doesn’t matter. Georgia DEFINITELY WINS! 2.5 to punch front layout. 1.5 with a step forward.
8:37 pm. Sloan, Florida, BB- Has an upper thigh cramp, fyi. Front aerial to beat jump, solid bhs loso, switch to split jump, side aerial, misses her foot a little. Double full, steps back, probably to let her leg not implode. Good for her fighting back!
8:35 pm. Box, Georgia, FX- GEORGIA MIGHT ACTUALLY WIN. Huge double pike. They’re really gonna chase this all the way home. HOW THRILLING would that be for them?! Beautiful 1.5 to front layout. Sky high stuck double tuck. CRYING. They’re 100% gonna win and that will rebuild their confidence on beam and everyone will LOVE IT. 9.95
8:33 pm. McMurtry, Florida, BB- Bhs loso with a check, hit Shushunova to clear hip, stuck double full!
Auburn on floor will see Milliet, Hlawek, Rott, Kluz, Demers, and Atkinson.
8:32 pm. Marino, Georgia, FX- Huge double layout, great landing. 1.5 to front layout, controlled step forward. Finishes with a big double pike. 9.95
Oklahoma on beam will be Kmieciak, Lehrmann, Catour, Brown, Jones, and Capps!
8:30 pm. Boren, Florida, BB- Front toss, hit jump series, standing back loso, crashes double tuck, super low landing with hands down.
8:28 pm. Rogers, Georgia, FX- PERFECT double arabian! YAS. 1.5 to front layout, looking very clean. Double pike, stuck with her chest down. Maybe a tiny little foot movement with her right foot, but come on. That was FANTASTIC. 9.95
8:26 pm. Fassbender, Florida, BB-Front aerial, lots of cheers going on, I’m assuming for Vivi’s score! Solid bhs loso, full turn with a slight check, sissone to fugly sheep jump, side aerial to layout full with a little bounce.
Atkinson, Auburn, BB- Bhs loso, solid. Cat leap to front aerial, switch to pike jump, side aerial to tuck full.
8:25 pm. Babalis, Georgia, FX- Whip through to double tuck, just a slight step. Front layout to front full. Double pike from a roundoff, controlled lunge back.
Milliet, Auburn, BB- Great split jump to sheep jump. Bhs loso, slight check, front aerial, cat leap to gainer full, slight hop.
8:24 pm. Wofford, Oklahoma, UB- Giant full to blind change to Jaeger, great! Full-in with a step. Beautiful but not even her best!
Ernst, Florida, BB- Front toss, little misstep on her back tuck. Hit jumps. Gainer pike off the end of the beam, nice work.
8:23 pm. Demers, Auburn, BB- Full turn, check. Bhs loso, beat jump to sheep jump, only slight little checks here and there. Side aerial to great layout full!
8:21 pm. Scaman, Oklahoma, UB- I missed this because both Florida and Auburn were simultaneously falling, but it was a hit routine with a stuck dismount.
Snead, Georgia, FX- Whip through to double tuck, chest down and a hop. Hit middle pass but I missed it. Strong double pike to finish.
Kmieciak, Oklahoma, UB- Nice Tkachev, bail to toe shoot, full-in stuck!
8:20 pm. Baker, Florida, BB- Hit wolf turn, solid front aerial to bhs, split jump to some sort of jump with a turn in it, and she falls!
Krippner, Auburn, BB- Steady bhs loso, hit jump series, falls on a front aerial. Hit 1.5 dismount.
8:19 pm. Capps, Oklahoma, UB- Giant full to Tkachev, maybe a little low. Hit bail, stuck full-in cold!
8:16 pm. Lehrmann, Oklahoma, UB- Huge Jaeger, toe-on to bail, nails full-in dismount.
Cerio, Auburn, BB- Switch to switch side, steady bhs loso, switch half. She’s replacing Emma Engler, by the way…she’s the one who got injured last week on her beam dismount. Hits 1.5 dismount, though I couldn’t see if there was a hop because this camera person wait until AFTER she dismounted to aim it in that direction.
8:15 pm. Hlawek, Auburn, BB- Like 75 minutes of stuff going on in this routine before her flight series, a great bhs layout. Hits jumps, front toss to beat jump. 1.5 with a hop.
Jackson, Oklahoma, UB- Hop to piked Jaeger, over-arches last handstand but holds onto it and it just looks like, super straight. Sticks full-out dismount on her toes.
8:11 pm. Hiller, Florida, FX- Going up over Caquatto, who apparently is sick for the 80th week in a row. Opens with nice double pike. 1.5 to front layout, runs forward with a huge step. 1.5 to punch front, looked like either a pike or a very piked layout.
Hlawek, Cerio, Krippner, Demers, Milliet, and Atkinson will be the lineup for Auburn on beam.
8:09 pm. Box, Georgia, BB- Excellent bhs loso. Switch to split leap to straddle 3/4, swings her arms for her balance. Had a check somewhere else but hit her dismount. Hit routine! So only two falls and a major mistake for Georgia this week.
Oklahoma lineup will be Jackson, Lehrmann, Capps, Scaman, Kmieciak, and Wofford on bars.
8:07 pm. Baker, Florida, FX- Gorgeous arabian double front, excellent. Huge double pike. Excellent routine!
8:05 pm. Broussard, Georgia, BB- Please let this mean Cherrey isn’t doing beam anymore. Not that this will be any better though, tbh. One-armed bhs loso, big wobble, bends at the hips, but holds on. Still a huge deduction. Full turn. Side aerial to split jump. Hits gainer full dismount.
With Sloan, it looks like she might just have a foot cramp or something.
8:03 pm. Sloan, Florida, FX- 1.5 through to 2.5 with a step. Double pike. Great landing. Some girl in the crowd is side-eying this and rolling her eyes at her choreo, LOL. Oh boy, 1.5 to punch front tuck, way low, runs backwards and seems to bang up her ankle quite a bit. Limps off.
8:01 pm. Babalis, Georgia, BB- Front aerial to loso, big wobble and a fall. UGH. Switch to cat leap. Falls again right after. She is PISSED. Front toss to beat jump, front full with a hop.
7:59 pm. Boren, Florida, FX- Full-in with a step back. Double tuck to finish is great.
About to add Texas Woman’s, Oklahoma, Auburn, and Illinois State into the mix! I’ll probably focus on OU and Auburn because you can’t always get the names from the others and I don’t know them as well.
7:57 pm. Rogers, Georgia, BB- Front aerial to wolf jump, full-twisting back handspring, solid bhs loso, bhs 1/4 to stag handstand, 1.5 with a hop.
7:55 pm. Fassbender, Florida, FX- 2.5 to punch front tuck, decent. Not the best landing. I missed her middle pass. 1.5 to front pike, step forward.
7:53 pm. Jay, Georgia, BB- The crowd is chanting “UGA” and I’m chanting “Brandie Jay” because here comes the only person on the team who is not on my shiz list. Full turn en dedans! With a wobble. Cat leap to side aerial, great. Hits flight series, switch to Shushunova to clear hip around the beam. 1.5 with a hop. THAT’S how you do beam, Georgia.
7:51 pm. McLaughlin, Florida, FX- Good front layout to front full. Solid Rudi. 1.5 to front pike? Layout? Who can ever know.
7:49 pm. Vaculik, Georgia, BB- Here we gooooo. Switch to split 1/4. Bhs loso, slight check. Off on side aerial. Le sigh. Hit dismount with a hop.
7:43 pm. Rogers, Georgia, UB- I almost wrote Canada after her name, lol. Great first handstand, Stalder to Ricna to pak, gorgeous. Toe-on, misses transition to van Leeuwen so she throws it on her own, double layout with a tiy hop.
7:42 pm. McMurtry, Florida, VT- Leg sep on the pre-flight, gorgeous flare, excellent landing.
7:41 pm. Baker, Florida, VT- Yurchenko 1.5 with a hop forward.
Jay, Georgia, UB- Awesome Shushunova, full-twisting double layout with the tiniest hop back. 9.925!
7:40 pm. Schick, Georgia, UB- Nice Tkachev and piked Jaeger, just a tiny bit of leg separation as she goes into the Jaeger. Lovely double layout with a hop back.
7:39 pm. Boren, Florida, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, a tiny bit short, and she steps back.
7:38 pm. Snead, Georgia, UB- Nice big Tkachev. Gorgeous stuck double layout.
7:37 pm. Sloan, Florida, VT- GORGEOUS stuck FTY. Just the tiniest leg sep and tiniest chest down on her landing. That’s being super picky. The one time I want to give her like a 9.9999, and she gets a 9.875.
7:36 pm. Cherrey, Georgia, UB- Nice big Tkachev. Toe-on to little short bail, way short last handstand, leg separation on her giants, and a double layout, short and with messy form.
7:35 pm. Fassbender, Florida, VT- Nice clean FTY.
7:34 pm. Vaculik, Georgia, UB- Toe-on, piked Jaeger, full-in with a hop back. Bart keeps calling her Va-SOO-lick. NAH. Ya wrong.
7:33 pm. Caquatto, Florida, VT- Low FTY, super deep in the knees and she tried to stick and basically crunched her knees into bits. Had to step back.
7:26 pm. Jay, Georgia, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, stuck with chest down and feet apart.
McMurtry, Florida, UB- Good routine, piked again in her giants and Kathy makes SURE to yell it to the rafters, you can tell she’s so salty about last week’s 10. Full-in with a hop.
7:24 pm. Sloan, Florida, UB- Ray with super flexed feet as per usual, bail to toe shoot, double layout with leg separation as she released from the bar, and she hops back. 10! 10! 10!
7:23 pm. Rogers, Georgia, VT- Yurchenko 1.5. Too much power, tried too hard to stick, chest goes forward and she has a big hop. Poor thing is probably dying because she’s prepping for Elite Canada…she’s doing an exhibition Sunday! Her Canadian teammates are actually finishing up competition as we speak.
7:22 pm. Caquatto, Florida, UB- Big Ray, bail with piked hips, great last handstand, double layout with a hop back. 9.9
7:23 pm. Marino, Georgia, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, super low and quite sloppy. Hop and squat.
7:22 pm. Dancose-Giambattisto, Florida, UB- Maloney to bail, releases bar early and she has a short double layout with a hop. 9.8
7:21 pm. Snead, Georgia, VT- Huge FTY, bounced back.
7:20 pm. Boren, Florida, UB- Big Tkachev, clear hip, bail, big and clean double layout with a hop back. 9.775
7:19 pm. Vaculik, Georgia, VT- Little pikey FTY. Good distance but not a ton of height. Little hop forward.
7:18 pm. Baker, Florida, UB- Great first handstand, just a small adjustment before her Ray. Bail to toe shoot, toe half with a bent body into a double front with a little shuffle. A very Monét routine. Good from far away but SO many little problems up close. 9.85
7:17 pm. Broussard, Georgia, VT- FTY with a big hop back.
7:12 pm. Omg this Danna and Jenny fluff! They are BFFs and have known each other since middle school. I’m here for ladies being badasses and getting their dreams!!!

I can’t believe what is happening with Florida vs. Georgia…. a 49.625 with 1 to go on floor for Georgia?! THIS IS INSANE!!!! I hope Sloan is fine though….. didn’t sound too good. Florida has an off day and Georgia took it and ran with it.
