  1. Cata was training bars a few weeks ago – do you happen to know if that’s going anywhere? Is there another selection competition when that would get slotted in? Or was that just for Instagram giggles or something?

    • On a related note, why would Cata still be training vault? I understand that she wanted to contribute there for team competitions like Euros, but isn’t there no point her training vault for Rio without either bars or a second vault?

  2. It difficult to choose between Ponor and Iordache. In the apparatus finals Ponor the best in balance beam and floor with notes of 15 !!!

    • Iordache is still upgrading, she watered down here so she would hit, especially on floor. I would expect she would more or less go for broke for the olympics. Ponor did well though. These routines wouldn’t score in the 15s internationally, but they’re still solid medal threats, and I would expect small d score adjustments from her in the coming weeks as well. It really depend on what Iordache brings back, and how well she’s able to perform what she does bring back. As for the juniors, superexcited to see Golgota do a Tsuk full in event finals, shows that she’s planning on being a medal contender on vault if she happens to have the future expected of her in the senior ranks. Crisan was really over scored, but happy to see improvements from Euros. Ghiciuc performed generally well too. Any word on Cimpian or Botnaru? I know Cimpian injured her ankle or something at Euros, eventhough i don’t know if it was serious or minor, but what about Botnaru?
