So happy to see this event go ahead safely what with the turmoil in the country at that time.
Alexander Alexandrov’s magic in Brazil can be seen filtering though all levels of their system. They will be a power in Tokyo 2020, I can even see them getting on the podium at Rio (notwithstanding the doping issue, one cannot underestimate the home-crowd advantage in a country like Brazil). Pleased to see the Romanian girls showing consistency too, with fifteen 13+ scores in the meet. Admittedly only two countries were realistically able to take gold here but they pushed Brazil and got silver on every podium. It wasn’t perfect but it’s all good experience which is what they need more than anything else.
Thankyou for posting the scores. Does anybody know what happened with Maria Holbura on bars?
