They’re not supposed to! They only do three events…we’ll have more info in the recap but they basically pick which events they want to do, a few get eliminated after the first round, and then the rest go up for one final event and whoever gets the highest three-score total wins! For women it was two events in round one and one in round two, and for men it was three in round one and one in round two.

how did eythora get a 12.750 for her vault? she didn’t really do a vault since she messed up,

She meant to do a DTY but when she messed up her block she could only do a back pike, so she got a 4.0 D score for the back pike and an 8.75 for execution. On vault, if you don’t complete your intended skill, they simply judge what they see. Even though she messed up the intended DTY, she still technically hit a Yurchenko pike.

I found videos of the competition before the results were posted and I remember wondering if she would throw the Amanar for fun… and then i had a heart attack when i saw the horrible block.
