We kick off the first week of rankings being determined by the regional qualifying score (RQS) rather than the team average, with a rare Big 12 Friday night match-up between No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 29 West Virginia, with Oklahoma hoping to come back from several falls on beam in last week’s meet so they can hold onto their top spot because No. 2 LSU is dying to take it over.
The Tigers are on the road tonight, competing at No. 15 Georgia in what’ll likely be an easy win barring any mistakes, especially as they now have two 198+ totals under their stick crowns and are eager to keep that going at an SEC meet on the road. Other Friday Night Heights meets will feature No. 5 Florida hosting No. 11 Arkansas, No. 7 Alabama at No. 16 Auburn, and No. 9 Kentucky hosting No. 20 Missouri.
Also on the docket tonight is No. 6 Michigan at an Elevate the Stage quad meet against No. 12 Denver, No. 37 Utah State, and No. 38 Bowling Green, which should be fun, but I’m most excited for No. 13 Boise State at No. 18 BYU, with these two programs on fire in recent weeks, and so this MRGC battle is going to be a nail-biter.
Saturday is a bit slow overall, but I’m so hyped for No. 17 Arizona State hosting No. 71 Arizona. Yes, they’re 71st after last week’s ridiculousness where the team fielded only two on vault after literally all of their vaulters got suspended, but no fears, Wildcat fans, the RQS will erase that. Last year, the sad little ASU underdog team came up and kicked butt on the road at Arizona to get their first win of the season, and they’ve been out-performing Arizona all year so far in 2018, but after what went down last week, Arizona has an axe to grind and don’t be surprised if you see them at their most intense tomorrow afternoon.
The west coast will also see No. 10 Washington host No. 22 Stanford, while No. 14 Nebraska will host No. 39 Pittsburgh and No. 22 George Washington will compete at No. 31 Penn State.
Sunday has two big Pac 12 meets as No. 3 UCLA will face off against No. 8 Oregon State at home while No. 4 Utah will travel to No. 21 Cal. Both the Bruins and the Red Rocks will likely get the wins at these meets, so it’s not so much about the win as it is about whether Utah — which is currently only about a hundredth behind UCLA — will be able to overtake their rivals.
Though it’s probably not on most of your radars, Sunday is also the Ivy League Classic, which is always a fun meet, especially as this season, all four programs are within about a point of one another in the rankings with Penn and Cornell tied at the moment, so this could definitely be an exciting one, though my money’s on Yale especially now that all-arounders Jacey Baldovino and Jade Buford have been kicking butt and taking names in recent weeks.
The full schedule is below. All times listed are ET, the first team listed is the host team, and we’ll update any links as they are updated on each program’s schedule. Once the meet is finished, we’ll add results. Enjoy!

Do you know what time verifications are on Sunday for the elites? Will that just be on the USAG YouTube channel? Thank you!

They are at 11 am ET/ 8 am PT and I’m pretty sure it’ll just be in the YouTube channel.

What happened with the Arizona vaulters?

They were suspended for disciplinary reasons. Since it was a bunch of them and since it was only for one meet, my guess is that they were caught drinking or something.
