Please refresh your browser every few minutes to see the most recent updates, which will appear at the top of the page.

7:43 pm. To conclude this subdivision I leave you with:

6:30 pm. Valgard Reinhardsson ISL HB: One-arm pirouette, Yamawaki, crazy legs in his Kolman, misses the bar and goes flying off. Straddle Tkachev, good, crashed his dismount. 😦

6:26 pm. Carlos Edriel Yulo PHI HB: Big Yamawaki, muscles up a stalder, beautiful Kovacs, beautiful Kolman, he’s getting applause for every skill, blind full, Ryalko, L grip giants to stoop, can’t muscle it to a handstand and he lets go of the bar before somersaulting out of his fall. 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 Back on and does it perfectly this time, hop change to Endo half, legs go a bit wild, everyone’s cheering him on, flared double double layout dismount, huge applause.

Nikita Simonov AZE PB: Hit routine.

The differences in these two live blogged routines doesn’t show any bias DOES IT

6:24 pm. Reiss Beckford JAM FX: Piked double front, hop forward. Double front, little hop. The rest is good, arabian double front with a hop to the side. Solid work.

6:23 pm. Jon Gunnarsson ISL HB: Yamawaki, straddle Tkachev, blind change to front giant then back to his regular grip, big full-twisting double layout with a hop forward.

6:22 pm. Stephen Lewis JAM FX: Hit his first pass, then a double layout, bounce back. Double front side pass, pretty low and cowboyed. Big floaty barani. 2.5 to front full. Double arabian, cowboyed but solid landing.

Daniel Ponizil CZE PH: Hit routine, just not a ton of D.

6:20 pm. Eythor Baldursson ISL HB: Yamawaki, clear hip, Weiler, pretty piked in his full-twisting double layout but gets it around.

Yerbol Jantykov KAZ SR: Piked down a handstand super bad and then came off after that. 😦

Murad Agharzayev AZE PB: Hit routine, just a stumble forward on the dismount.

6:14 pm. Oh wow, 14.366 for Carlos on p-bars!!! I didn’t realize how solid his D is there. He’s currently ranked to potentially make three EFs .

Daniel Ponizil CZE FX: His tumbling is GORGEOUS. The form on his double arabian is literally perfect. Opens up so early on his double full. 2.5 with a baby hop to finish. Excellent job.

6:13 pm. Carlos Edriel Yulo PHI PB: Very precise work once again. Holds handstands for 14 hours. Hop back on his piked double back. He’s getting some of the biggest applause in this place.

6:11 pm. Frantisek Cerny CZE FX: Good double double, bounce back. Sat his second pass. Good front full to Rudi, 2.5 to barani. Soft knees and hips in his double full.

Reiss Beckford JAM HB: Endo half, Kovacs, Kolman, working this routine! Double double layout with a hop forward.

6:08 pm. Caleb Faulk JAM HB: Yamawaki, random clear hip in his pirouette work, crazy over the bar layout dismount that David Vecsernyes does, good work but a mostly simple set.

Ivan Tikhonov AZE VT: Shewfelt, lunges forward out of it.

6:05 pm. Eythor Baldursson ISL PB: Clean work until he sat his double front dismount. 😦

Dariy Morozov AZE VT: Crashed his kaz full. 😦

5:58 pm. Milad Karimi KAZ FX: I have so many smol beans in this subdivision. So many baby children!!! 3.5 to front full, YAS! Step to control it. Front full to Randi I think, then a double double, a tad low but stuck. Stuck 2.5 to barani. Omg can both of my beans make this final?!?! Double full side pass. Solid triple full. Damnnnn son.

Frantisek Cerny CZE HB: Layout Tkachev, everything else looks good, hops back on the DLO full dismount, a little piked in it.

5:56 pm. Daniel Radovesnicky CZE HB: Big Yamawaki, straddle Tkachev, stalder, hop full, almost pauses mid-air for a sec, Rybalko, good dismount.

Ivan Tikhonov AZE SR: Oof, can’t muscle up out of his saltos and ends up holding a handstand literally at horizontal, his handstand after that is also at least 45 degrees from vertical. Piked double front dismount with a hop.

5:51 pm. Ilyas Azizov KAZ FX: I wasn’t typing during the beginning but he has some very beautiful twisting and hit all of his passes.

Someone from Iceland just stumbled back a kaz 1.5 but I couldn’t see who it was. Valgard Reinhardsson maybe? Second vault is a Roche, very WAG Produnova in his landing.

Akim Mussayev KAZ FX: Double front half, front full to front double full, Randi, all great! 2.5 to barani. Great work.

Reiss Beckford JAM PB: Some short handstands but overall good.

5:48 pm. Yerbol Jantykov KAZ FX: Good double front, then a double arabian with a hop. Hit the pass after that. Good routine.

Carlos Edriel Yulos PHI VT: Kaz double, awesome! Step on the landing to control it. Big handspring double front for his second vault, YAS! The crowd loves him, especially the Jamaican women, god bless.

Daniel Ponizil CZE HB: Fell on a release early on, a Gienger I think…yeah gets back up and does it again, same fall. 😦

5:41 pm. Daniel Radovesnicky CZE PB: Holds a handstand before a pirouette for 5 hours. Very clean work. Trying to be very exact in his positions. Hit the dismount well.

5:38 pm. Milad Karimi KAZ HB: Huge Yamawaki, Cassina, Kovacs, nice, Kolman, GET IT. A little messy in his pirouettes, but he always brings it back. Stuck the double double layout! A little piked in the dismount but KAZ stuck all three dismounts I’m pretty sure!

Daniel Ponizil CZE PB: He’s also a very smol bean. His sister is on the Czech women’s team, Dominika, and Daniel ended up making the vault final at Euros as a junior this summer so it’s awesome to see him make a senior team. Good routine from him here, just not a ton of difficulty.

5:36 pm. Reiss Beckford JAM VT: Ooh, Yurchenko half-on front layout full off! Good, hop forward.

Yerbol Jantykov KAZ HB: Hit routine and a sduck dismount.

Carlos Edriel Yulo PHI SR: He looks like a small child just climbed into the arena from the crowd. A little shaky in some of his holds but very clean in terms of his technique, he just needs a bit more upper body strength to do this event and pommels. Double double with a little step.

5:33 pm. Yordan Aleksandrov BUL FX: Double double, a little shy, hop forward. Rudi after that. Stumble on the next pass. Solid 2.5 at the end.

Ilyas Azizov KAZ HB: Clean Tkachev, Endo full is a little late, clean Endo half, solid dismount, stuck the landing.

Eythor Baldursson ISL SR: Everything I saw looked fine, nothing spectacular there in terms of D but good work getting through it.

Caleb Faulk JAM VT: Kaz, good.

Stephen Lewis JAM VT: Kaz full, solid, just a hop back.

5:30 pm. Carlos hit pommels, but he’s kinda weak there and everywhere but floor and vault. Good floor from Dariy Morozov, Reiss Beckford got a 13.233 on rings.

5:25 pm. Ivan Tikhonov AZE FX: Lovely double layout, then a front layout to Randi I think. Front full to Rudi I think after that. Double full. 2.5 to barani, and a triple full to finish, a tad underrotated with a step back to control.

Reiss Beckford JAM SR: Excellent routine, DLO full dismount is solid.

5:22 pm. Daniel Ponizil CZE VT: Kaz full, solid!! Really strong landing.

Frantisek Cerny CZE VT: Stumbled back and sat…think he was going for a kaz 1.5 but ended up doing a full.

5:17 pm. Timur Bairamov AZE FX: 2.5 to barani, double tuck with a step back, double full, the rest looked good that I could see.

Yordan Aleksandrov BUL HB: Good work so far. Straddle Tkachev half, Yamawaki caught pretty close, almost hit his face on the bar if he was any closer. Floaty DLO full.

5:14 pm. I still can’t get over Carlos’ floor. 14.766!!!!!! It’s hella difficult but he’s also HELLA PERFECT AT EVERYTHING.

The rest of this subdivision is kind of lacking, lots of scores sub 10 so far…but hopefully it’ll pick up as gymnasts move to events where they excel.

5:10 pm. Carlos Edriel Yulo PHI FX: I need him to make this final. HE LOOKS LIKE HE IS A SMALL INFANT, I can’t, I’m crying, the Icelandic boys look like monsters next to him. Pike double front half is PERF. 2.5 to Rudi, a little shy but YAS. 3.5 to barani WTFFFF OMG. Double full stuck. Punch into front double full, and then finishes with a triple full, little bounce. FAN. TAS. TIC.

5:08 pm. Yordan Aleksandrov BUL PB: Really solid routine throughout and then he stumbled back and sat his double pike dismount. 😦

Jon Gunnarsson ISL FX: Triple full, big bounce to the side and OOB. I missed everything before that, so his entire routine except the last pass.

Milad Karimi KAZ VT: Kaz 1.5, kind of a surprise, he put up the number for the full, tucks his legs throughout and stumbles to the side.

5:07 pm. Ilyas Azizov KAZ VT: Kaz double, stuck cold! Really good work.

5:05 pm. Yerbol Jantykov KAZ VT: Kaz full, looked okay.

Timur Bairamov AZE HB: Straddle Tkachev, Endo full a little late, all of his front giant pirouettes are still turning when he’s rotating back up around the bar for his next skill, it must KILL his wrists. Dismount ended up plopping right down into a little ball.

  1. Carlos Edriel Yukon is amazing on FX. Really hope he qualifies for the finals. And his PH routine was pretty solid too with a 12.166. I really want him and Milad to go to the event final.

  2. Thanks a bunch Lauren! Did u just stay up last night or take a nap and set your alarm for 330am? Lol.
Very excited to see who ends up in floor final. The depth and excitement of men’s floor is equivalent to my anticipation of women’s UB.
    Thanks again!
