Tang Xijing of China, a top international all-arounder and beam worker in 2019
After originally putting out our list of all top scores in 2019, which came from over 200 domestic and international competitions around the world, we got a request to write up the top scores that came only from international meets, so that’s what you’re going to find below.
The scores here come from major FIG-level meets, like world championships and world cups, as well as continental championships, invitationals (like the City of Jesolo Trophy or International Gymnix), and friendly meets between two or more national teams.
Below, find a list of the top international all-around and event scores throughout the year. An asterisk (*) next to the name denotes a junior competitor (as a note, we only include juniors in the two-vault averages if they’re competing vaults from two different families).

Dear Lauren,
Thanks for the post.
The margin between Simone Biles as top scorer and Sunisa Lee (no slouch) in second place is 2.6 points.
That’s greater than the margin between second place and 36th (!) place.
I doubt there’s another sport in the world in which the best performer is so utterly dominant.
Best regards,
Robert Angyal

Yes! Love this stat. It’s crazy just how far ahead Simone is but I feel like this really illustrates just how crazy it is.

I think she is definitely even more dominant than Kohei was even at his prime, even if she doesn’t have as much olympics medals.

If only Suni wouldn’t have had that beam fall in World QF, she’d only be 1.6 back

Yeah, her world QFs score without a fall would have been pretty much exactly the same as her top domestic all-around score for a pretty perfect day!

Hi I’m pretty sure I requested this so thank you so much! I wanted to see what the scores looked like when you took away the sometimes overstored domestic meets:)

I think I had a few people asking to see, so I’m glad I was able to get it done and hope it sheds some more light on the “true” top scores!
