7. Alvaro Giraldez, Spain, 12.766
8. Anthony Mansard, France, 11.833

10:18 am. Manuel Berettera ITA HB: Stalder Tkachev, nice, straddle Tkachev, nice extension, inbar, stalder, blind change to front giant to Tak right to handstand, finally! Clean, stuck full-twisting double layout. EXCELLENT! 13.366 (4.4, 8.966)

10:15 am. Ivan Rudyi UKR HB: Tak half, legs come apart and he arches over, good fight to correct it, piked Tkachev, straddle Tkachev, a little low and long but catches it, German giants to stalder, inbar, high and floaty full-twisting double layout with a medium-ish hop. 13.200 (4.6, 8.600)

10:13 am. Anthony Mansard FRA HB: He was in the lead after qualifications…let’s see what he can do today! Huge Kolman, but goes WAY too far over the bar and doesn’t have a prayer of reaching for it. Truly looks devastated once he lands on the mat. Layout Tkachev, hop full, stalder, blind change, Tak, turns around for the double double layout dismount, big hop forward. 11.833 (4.3, 7.533)

10:10 am. Alvaro Giraldez ESP HB: Straddle Tkachev was great, stalder, blind change to front giant to Tak, Endo, and a full-twisting double layout with a small step. 12.766 (4.0, 8.766)

10:09 am. Should be wrapping up the touch for the second half shortly.

10:05 am. Zala Samu Zambori HUN HB: Front giant half, layout Tkachev, nice! German giants to a stalder, inbar, blind change to front giant to Tak, turns around again for the giants into the full-twisting double layout, stuck. PHENOMENAL! 13.533 (4.5, 9.033)

10:03 am. Mert Öztürk GER HB: Starts with a front giant, Zou Li Min, turns around for giants into a straddle Tkachev, stalder, blind change to Tak, a little late, Endo, turns around again for the giants into the full-twisting double layout dismount, a little high and close to the bar, small step back. 12.900 (4.2, 8.700)

10:01 am. Sergio Kovacs ESP HB: Endo half to stalder, nice, inbar, looked a little weird in his form there, Tkachev, and a full-twisting double layout, a little deep, but stuck! 13.100 (3.9, 9.200)

9:59 am. Diego Vazzola ITA HB: Tak, front giants, turns around, Tkachev is nice and big, German giants, stalder, inbar, and a clean full-twisting double layout with a step back. 12.966 (4.4, 8.566)

7. Jonas Rushworth, Great Britain, 12.100
8. Sol Scott, Great Britain, 10.166

9:33 am. Kyano Schepers BEL PB: Makuts, mostly good, hand adjustment at the end. Also a hand adjustment on a pirouette after and didn’t get a giant to handstand. The rest was good, double tuck with a big bounce back. 13.133 (4.6, 8.533)

9:31 am. Lisa Wötzel GER FX: Double tuck, clean, bounce back, almost OOB, but she keeps her heels lifted. Smart girl! 2.5 is very nice. Double wolf turn. Clean double full. Switch half. Front full, small bounce. Great job! She was the alternate coming into this meet, amazing to see her make a final and do so well in it. 12.300 (4.6, 7.700)

9:29 am. Jonas Rushworth GBR PB: Got stuck when he caught the Bhardwaj, had to muscle it back up and over, sadly. Big swings into the Tippelt, gets that without an issue. Double front half with a big stumble back.

9:27 am. Helen Kevric GER FX: Very clean on the full-in, small bounce. Triple wolf turn, slight ankle form and a small hop. Beautiful split jump full, and a switch full into the corner before her front tuck through to 2.5, little steps. Switch leap to switch half. Fantastic work again, has she made a single even medium mistake this whole meet? 13.433 (5.3, 8.133)

9:26 am. Sol Scott GBR PB: We didn’t have a view of his routine until he unfortunately came off. Had a second big mistake when he couldn’t get to handstand and bent his knees before swinging through again, then arched over out of a pirouette. Stuck the double tuck, though, OF COURSE. 10.166 (3.9, 6.266)

9:23 am. Emma Fioravanti ITA FX: I looooove this kid’s floor. Really want her to take the gold here. Front layout to double front, big lunge forward but the power!! 1.5 through to double pike, a tiny bit short, small hop. Switch ring to switch full, lands deep, literally came close to sitting it, I would have literally cried if both Italians fell on dance. Whip to double tuck, small bounce there. Good Popa. Triple wolf turn. 13.133 (5.5, 7.633)

9:21 am. Alvaro Giraldez ESP PB: Tight work in the first handstand, one-arm pirouette out was clean, adjusted a bit on a pirouette with both hands after that, then walked out of a half pirouette. Double tuck is a bit cowboyed with a hop back. 13.066 (4.6, 8.466)

9:19 am. Jemima Taylor GBR FX: Well, they have Jemima’s name up but are showing p-bars. Cute! Caught it just as she landed the double pike. I miss her Sound of Music routine but this one is also great. She has such 90s-era gymnast precision in her choreo movements. I feel like she’d crush a compulsory. Front layout to front full with a hop forward. Double wolf turn. Switch ring to switch half. STrong double tuck to finish. Good work! 12.533 (4.6, 7.933)

9:16 am. Yoan Ivanov BUL PB: Could point his toes more, was short on one handstand out of a cast, and didn’t hold another quite long enough. Pike sit, presses to handstand, lovely, turns around for a Tippelt, great press up, double pike with a solid landing. Great routine! 13.900 (4.9, 9.000)

9:14 am. Lilou Viallat FRA FX: Very clean double tuck, great landing. Front layout front tuck, tiniest form things, but nothing severe. Split ring leap to switch half, brilliant. Double full, and then a double spin to finish. Beautiful work! 12.866 (4.4, 8.466)

9:13 am. Ivan Rudyi UKR PB: Had a little adjustment in handstand on the pirouette that transitioned from both to single back to both bars, and again walked out of a pirouette, but the rest was strong and SO clean, hit the dismount with no problems. 13.800 (4.7, 9.100)

9:11 am. Angela Pennisi SUI FX: Double tuck, leg up bounce, but good job controlling it back. Strong double full. The rest was hit! Sorry, I should be back to fully paying attention in a second. 12.466 (4.6, 7.866)

9:09 am. Jonas Eder GER PB: Sorry, I couldn’t type during this, but it was a hit routine! Beautiful form, he makes everything look effortless but had a couple of little mistakes he didn’t have in quals. 12.933 (4.6, 8.333)

9:07 am. Gabriela Vanoaga ROU FX: Front layout full through to double full, some ankle form and a hop forward. Double tuck, pretty open, step to the side. Hit some leaps and a 2.5 with a step forward, then a switch half at the end. Good work! 12.366 (4.7, 7.666)

9:05 am. Sviatoslav Shved UKR PB: Nice handstands at the beginning, pike sit to handstand press was lovely, one-arm out back to handstand, perfection. More one-arm work, walked around a little on the second, but recovered well and hit a double tuck dismount with a lunge back. 13.266 (4.5, 8.766)

9:02 am. Sara Caputo ITA FX: Lovely Popa before her first pass, a whip to triple full, jumps to the side a bit on the landing but her rotation was great. Full-in, some leg separation and her chest was a bit down, but a good landing. Switch ring, AND SHE FELL. ONTO HER HANDS. Oh my god. I’m going to jump out the window. Gets back up and does the next leap. Front tuck double tuck, hands down there as well. Ughhhh. What a bummer. Double pike to finish, a little short. 10.433 (4.6, 5.833)

9:00 am. Touch is underway. Should begin in about two minutes.

8:56 am. Athletes should be coming out for the WAG floor and p-bars finals shortly! Here’s the floor start list:

Gabriela Vanoaga (Romania)

7. Zala Samu Zambori, Hungary, 13.399
8. Alperen Avci, Türkiye, 12.866

8:34 am. Iustin Mihai ROU VT: Kaz full, I would call it “mid” compared to the others we’ve seen. Not quite as good, but not the weakest. 13.833 (4.8, 9.033)

Second vault is a simple kaz, and he sticks it! Nice and clean. 13.433

13.633 average

8:32 am. Alij de Wijze NED BB: Switch leap, split leap to jump, could be a bit tighter on all of those. Wobble on the bhs loso, and unfortunately a fall. Wow, our first beam fall is in the final routine in a junior comp! Side somi. Side aerial, leg comes up a bit. Front aerial, could pull her chest up faster. Double full with a big hop back. 10.933 (4.4, 6.533)

8:29 am. Zala Samu Zambori HUN VT: Kaz full, a little looser in his form than most of the others we’ve seen, and has a big step on the landing. 13.633 (4.8, 8.833)

Second vault is a Yurchenko full, solid landing, mostly good in the air. 13.166 (4.0, 9.166)

13.399 average

8:27 am. Marlene Gotthardt GER BB: Hit the mount. Switch half is lovely. Double wolf turn is clean and solid. Side aerial is SO extended. The German juniors love extension! Bhs loso, the tiniest adjustment on the landing. Punch front is great. Sissone to split jump. Standing back tuck, solid. Front layout full with a hop forward. 12.733 (4.8, 7.933)

8:24 am. Sergio Kovacs ESP VT: Kaz full, HUGE air, great form, small hop basically in place. 14.033 (4.8, 9.233)

Next up is a Yurchenko double full, also very clean and powerful, but a big hop back. 13.966 (4.8, 9.166)

13.999 average, in fourth place

8:23 am. Emma Fioravanti ITA BB: Punch front tuck mount, comes on a little low and has a little stumble. Switch leap, front aerial to split jump to straddle jump. All of her movements are so soft, in a good way. Bhs loso loso is SOLID. Punch front, misses a foot but it doesn’t bother her at all, just continues like she was supposed to land it one-legged. Double wolf turn is clean. Double pike with a small hop back. Mostly great stuff! 12.700 (5.2, 7.500)

8:21 am. Jonas Danek CZE VT: Kaz full, really strong in the air and the landing is great! Small bounce. 14.066 (4.8, 9.266)

Second vault is a Yurchenko double full, again REALLY nice, tiny hop to the side. Amazing work! 14.066 (4.8, 9.266)

14.066 average, moves him into second place!

8:19 am. Diana Lobok UKR BB: Hit the mount, again got a bit cut off, looked like a loso or bhs. Side aerial to loso, leg up with a little check. Front aerial. Split ring jump. She connected those in quals. Switch ring, back foot needs to be fixed, but good otherwise. Sissone to wolf jump. Full Y turn, big wobble there, but a nice save. She’s definitely a bit more nervous than she was the other day. Lovely switch leap. Double full came off a bit low and long but she got it around with no problems. 12.666 (5.3, 7.366)

8:17 am. Touch for the second half of the rotation!

8:14 am. Alperen Avci TUR VT: Ughhh, handspring double front right to his butt. 13.100 (5.2, 7.900)

Unfortunately didn’t get the kaz full either, got the rotation around but came up a bit short for the landing and put his hand down. 12.633 (4.8, 7.933, -0.1)

12.866 average

8:12 am. Sara Caputo ITA BB: Layout stepout mount, break at the hips, but good fight to stay on. Bhs bhs loso, some leg form but solid in how she hits it. She has some fun little choreo moments. Switch to split jump half, doesn’t get anywhere near 180 on the second. Front aerial, wobble, into the split jump to straddle jump. Side aerial, good. Switch half, a little check there. Double pike is big, but a big hop back as well. Good job! Little things throughout but her difficulty is pretty high IIRC. 12.466 (5.4, 7.066)

8:10 am. Jonas Rushworth GBR VT: Kaz full, eek on the landing, it was a little bit of a jolt and he had to take a big step out to the side to steady himself. Strong in the air. 13.666 (4.8, 8.966, -0.1)

Just a kaz for the second, big step back, again fine in the air. 13.233 (4.0, 9.233)

13.449 average

8:08 am. Helen Kevric GER BB: Big switch half. Bhs bhs loso, little check with her leg slightly up. Switch to sissone, her extension from her hips is everything. Hit the side somi well, and then a solid side aerial. Big 2.5 dismount, small hop. Awesome. 12.933 (5.0, 7.933)

8:06 am. Tommaso Brugnami ITA VT: Shewfelt, ends up landing a bit deep with a big hop to the side, OOB. Sol Scott will beat him on that vault I think. Similar to Caputo and Kevric where Caputo wins on the landing despite Kevric being cleaner. 14.100 (5.2, 9.000, -0.1)

Hit the second vault, I missed the entry, but it was very strong landing. Yurchenko double maybe? Looked like it had two twists. 14.100 (4.8, 9.300)

14.100 average

8:04 am. Miruna Botez ROU BB: Did she do a front walkover mount or front aerial or Onodi or something? The angle cuts off the beginning of her entry but she came on forwards out of something acro? Switch to switch side? Front aerial to split jump to Korbut. Little adjustment on the bhs loso flight series. Side aerial with another hip check. Double wolf turn. Big air on the cross straddle jump half. Double full, lunge back. 12.633 (4.9, 7.733)

8:03 am. Sol Scott GBR VT: Shewfelt for his first, nice! Steps over but overall really strong. 14.133 (5.2, 9.033, -0.1)

Second vault is a kaz full, big lunge back, but lots of power! 13.933 (4.8, 9.133)

14.033 average

8:01 am. Gabriela Vanoaga ROU BB: Layout stepout mount, nice. Side aerial to back handspring is very steady. Switch to split jump to Korbut, effortless work. Cross straight jump full, very nice. Clean front aerial and full turn. Oh, she’s on one today. Double full with the tiniest hop. OMG. 12.866 (4.6, 8.266)
