7. Yumin Abbadini, Italy, 13.833
8. Joel Plata, Spain, 13.366
12:42 pm. Yumin Abbadini ITA HB: Caught the first release, then a Kolman, hit the rest but was really wild on the dismount, big leap forward kinda? BUMMER, just not his day today. 13.833 (6.1, 7.733)
12:39 pm. Alexander Myakinin ISR HB: Front inbar stalder, Tak full is a bit late, Tak half close to handstand, Cassina caught a little close, Kolman, piked Tkachev, straddle Tkachev, stalder, full-twisting double layout with a big lunge forward. 14.100 (5.9, 8.200)
12:36 pm. Robert Tvorogal LTU HB: Tak full was pretty good, Tak half to layout Tkachev, German giants, nice clean straddle to piked Tkachevs, full-twisting double layout, chest down and a bit of a balance check on that landing. 14.566 (5.8, 8.766)
12:32 pm. Marios Georgiou CYP HB: Started typing at the Tak half, everything before that was hit, Cassina with slight leg separation, nice Kolman, inbar, stalder, Zou Li Min, big full-twisting double layout with a hop forward. 14.366 (5.9, 8.466)
12:29 pm. Warmup for the second half!
12:27 pm. Illia Kovtun UKR HB: Zou Li Min, Tak full, Tak half, good so far, big Kolman, layout Tkachev to straddle Tkachev to piked Tkachev, sweet, stalder, hop full, double double layout, stuck!!! Damn okay. 14.600 (5.9, 8.700)
12:24 pm. Joel Plata ESP HB: Tak full was pretty solid, Tak half with slight leg separation but goes right into the Kolman, bent his legs on the giant out of it though, Cassina with some leg separation, layout Tkachev was a little low I think, straddle Tkachev, stalder, full-twisting double layout, nice distance there! 13.366 (5.9, 7.466)
12:20 pm. Tin Srbic CRO HB: Front full pirouette, on my god he’s going too fast for me, I’m too rusty for this, did three Tkachevs I think, second two connected? One was out of a stalder IIRC. Kolman was great. Hop full. Full-twisting double layout looked deep on the landing, but don’t think his feet really moved. Maybe slightly. 14.066 (5.5, 8.566)
12:18 pm. Noe Seifert SUI HB: Sorry, I had to miss the entire first half of this I think, caught it from a million front giants, looked pretty solid! Triple back dismount! Tiny bounce. Lets see what the replay shows…Kolman looked good! Also had a hop full. 14.266 (6.0, 8.266)
12:11 pm. Athletes are marching out for the high bar final!
11:55 am. Medal ceremony now for p-bars! See you again in about 15 minutes.
11:53 am. Parallel Bars Final Standings
1. Illia Kovtun, Ukraine, 15.633
2. Marios Georgiou, Cyprus, 14.866
3. Noe Seifert, Switzerland, 14.833
4. Cameron-Lie Bernard, France, 14.500
5. James Hall, Great Britain, 14.366
6. Nazar Chepurnyi, Ukraine, 13.866
7. Mario Macchiati, Italy, 13.300
8. Thierno Diallo, Spain, 12.900
11:50 am. James Hall GBR PB: A little short on the first giant to handstand, tuck barani went well, good handstand out of it, Makuts with some minor form breaks and maybe a bit slow, little adjustments on a pirouette after, straddle salto with bent legs and a bit of a weak catch, double front dismount goes a bit slow, a bit seated on the landing with a hop back. 14.366 (6.1, 8.266)
11:47 am. Marios Georgiou CYP PB: Front pike to handstand, really nice control, basket to single rail, pirouette out, both really nice. Little adjustment on a pirouette after that, nice giant swing, Makuts with minor leg form issues, pirouette out was clean but has slight leg form on the half turn, hop giant, then arches over on the half pirouette, double pike, looked stuck! 14.866 (6.1, 8.766)
11:44 am. Mario Macchiati ITA PB: Very clean on the first couple of handstands, little hand movement forward out of the first pirouette, but overall so clean so far, pike up to handstand, lovely, full pirouette, adjusts his legs slightly, UGH, then goes for a 1.5, walks out of it, and flies off. Was looking SO gorgeous until then. Back on for a half turn, perfect handstand, and a double front dismount, small hop forward. 13.300 (5.7, 7.600)
11:41 am. Thierno Diallo ESP PB: Good on the Makuts, muscled down out of the single rail handstand and had to push back up, more adjustments in handstand while on both bars, just a little loose on everything so far, messy legs on the Bhavsar flight, Tippelt had some hip form, double pike dismount with a big hop back. 12.900 (5.9, 7.000)
11:36 am. Warmup for the second half!
11:34 am. Nazar Chepurnyi UKR PB: Strong work at the beginning, little lean out of a giant, not sure what he was going for but transitioned to the single rail and couldn’t quite get to handstand, ends up having to pop off the side. Gets through the next few skills after remounting, solid on the Tippelt and Bhavsar, one-arm pirouette went pretty well, double front dismount with a slight hop. 13.866 (6.3, 7.566)
11:30 am. Illia Kovtun UKR PB: A little rushed throughout the beginning elements, solid transition to the single rail and the pirouette out was lovely, bit of a hip adjustment on I think a 1.5 pirouette, Makuts was nice, overall really strong work, and he stuck the double front dismount! Great routine. 15.633 (6.9, 8.733)
11:27 am. Noe Seifert SUI PB: Little adjustments on the first pirouette, second was better, front pike up to handstand was a bit muscled, Makuts went well overall, maybe quick out of it into the next pirouette? Arched a little on a half turn before the Bhavsar, Tippelt was really smooth, STUCK the double pike!!! That dismount was everything. 14.833 (6.3, 8.533)
11:24 am. Cameron-Lie Bernard FRA PB: Handstand, first pirouette finish was really nice but a half after that was a bit messy and short. Makuts was also slightly short, had to adjust his hips, and then he kind of bent down out of a handstand after. Little adjustments on the next double of skills and a hop back on the double tuck dismount. 14.500 (6.3, 8.200)
11:16 am. Athletes are marching out for parallel bars!
11:05 am. Medal ceremony! Back in 15 ish minutes?
11:01 am. Vault Final Standings
1. Jake Jarman, Great Britain, 14.883
2. Artur Davtyan, Armenia, 14.850
3. Nazar Chepurnyi, Ukraine, 14.749
4. Igor Radivilov, Ukraine, 14.000
5. Dominick Cunningham, Ireland, 13.966
6. Luke Whitehouse, Great Britain, 13.683
7. Casimir Schmidt, Netherlands, 13.566
8. Luca Giubellini, Switzerland, 13.516
10:57 am. Dominick Cunningham IRL VT: Yurchenko 2.5, deep on the landing but manages to stand it up with a bit of a low hop back. Pretty nice in the air! Just loses leg form as he approaches the landing. 14.133 (5.2, 8.933)
I missed the entry for the second vault, going to guess Kas full maybe? Looked solid, again not perfect on the landing. 13.800 (4.8, 9.000)
13.966 average, moves to fifth place.
10:54 am. Nazar Chepurnyi UKR VT: Dragulescu, okay, THIS one is now the best outside of Davtyan’s I believe. SO MANY DRAGULESCUS. But this one had the best combo of air, form, and landing (again, outside of Davtyan, ALWAYS). Takes a step back. 14.733 (5.6, 9.133)
Suuuuuper clean on the Kas double full! Minor ankle form in the air and a step back but overall this was a very strong run. 14.766 (5.6, 9.166)
14.749 average puts him into third place.
10:51 am. Luca Giubellini SUI VT: Dragulescu, really deep landing, but manages to stand up out of the squat! Minor leg form in the air, maybe not THE most powerful off the table either, but a solid attempt. 14.366 (5.6, 8.766)
…then sits the Kas 1.5. I hate this final so much. Just too far back on his heels on the landing. 12.666 (5.2, 7.766, -0.3)
13.516 average.
10:47 am. Casimir Schmidt NED VT: Handspring randi, gets some distance but lands a bit short, leg form FULLY came apart as he got close to the landing (super tucked), looked like he maybe put his hands down? Or brushed his fingertips? It was close from the angle we had, watching the replay, oh yeah, they hit the mat for sure. 13.200 (5.6, 7.700, -0.1)
Moves on to the Dragulescu, looks like he has it at first but is maybe a bit too tentative on the landing, can’t hold on and ends up with two big massive steps back. Oh yeah, from the front angle he def didn’t have that landing, was leaning too far over to the right. 13.933 (5.6, 8.633, -0.3)
13.566 average.
10:41 am. Jake Jarman GBR VT: Kas 2.5, really great in the air but not super prepared on the landing, goes a bit crooked and lands not fully accurately, ends up hopping with a big step out to the side OOB. 15.000 (6.0, 9.100, -0.1)
The best Dragulescu of the day so far aside from Davtyan, absolutely huge, big step back on the landing, but looking at amplitude you can see why Radivilov’s score wasn’t as high as you might have guessed it would be with how solid it was. This landing wasn’t as good but just massive air. 14.766 (5.6, 9.166)
14.883 average, moves into first!
10:37 am. Artur Davtyan ARM VT: Dragulescu with a tiny bounce, not his cleanest on the landing, but still pretty freaking great. 15.100 (5.6, 9.500)
Comes up a bit short on the second vault, a handspring randi, pikes it down considerably to at least keep it on his feet, but has a big hop forward and OOB. 14.600 (5.6, 9.100, -0.1)
14.850 average.
10:33 am. Igor Radivilov UKR VT: Dragulescu, amazing kick-out and he STICKS IT!!! Just pretty minor form in the air. 14.800 (5.6, 9.200)
Second vault is a tsuk double pike, which he overrotates and crashes back. UGHHH. 13.200 (5.6, 7.900, -0.3)
14.000 average.
10:31 am. Luke Whitehouse GBR VT: Dragulescu, some leg form in the air, deep on the landing, ends up really squatted and can’t hold it up, crashes it unfortunately. 13.066 (5.6, 7.766, -0.3)
Second vault is a Kas 1.5, lands it with a step forward. Mostly good in the air, just big leg separation on pre-flight and some leg form as he gets closer to landing. 14.300 (5.2, 9.100)
13.683 average.
