10:18 am. Helen Kevric GER UB: I had to get the door so missed most of this but listened to the commentary and apparently this went SUPER well, I saw a little step on the dismount but sounded like a great hit! 13.966 (6.2, 7.766)

10:15 am. Alice Kinsella GBR BB: Wolf turn 1.5, little check. Front aerial to split jump to straddle jump. Side aerial loso, leg up on the landing but has REAL control and barely moves aside from the leg. Switch with a pause to switch half. 2.5 dismount, a bit short with a big hop forward but overall that was lovely. 13.233 (5.5, 7.733)

9:51 am. Alba Petisco ESP FX: Full-in with a slight hop back. Arabian double front, hop forward. Switch to tour jeté half. Whip to double tuck, stuck! Double pike, a little buckled but no issues really. Another great routine from this queen! 13.233 (5.3, 7.933)

9:49 am. Becky Downie GBR UB: Good handstand before the toe full to mixed grip Tkachev to Ezhova to Maloney to Hindorff, good! Stalder straddle Tkachev to Pak, really short handstand before the van Leeuwen, full-in with a step back. Great routine! 14.633 (6.6, 8.033)

9:46 am. Sabrina Voinea ROU BB: Roundoff layout full, just a slight break at the hips, but so strong overall. Bhs layout, stumble there but holds on. Front aerial slow is slightly slow to the split jump. Side aerial is good. Goes for the tour jeté half but only gets a tour jeté around and has a wobble/short leap. Switch to switch half to back handspring, better leap situation there. Double tuck with two steps back. 12.666 (5.5, 7.166)

9:43 am. Laia Masferrer ESP FX: Memmel turn before the opening double tuck, really nice. 1.5 to front layout, a bit whippy. Everything else looked nice, just not a super difficult routine, but she did well with it. 12.466 (4.8, 7.666)

Looks like they put in an inquiry for Williams on floor, as she’s down to a 12.800 with her D going from a 5.0 to a 4.9.

9:30 am. Amalia Ghigoarta ROU BB: Nailed the punch front mount on beam and was good on the leap series after. Bhs loso with a tiny slide. Switch leap, low back leg, doesn’t connect to the switch half, which is also a bit short. Wolf turn, think she meant to go for a double or something but made it about 1.5 rotations before standing up out of it. Double tuck with a small hop. 12.966 (5.1, 7.866)

9:21 am. Ana Barbosu ROU UB: Nice handstand before the Maloney to clear hip full, a little late, clear hip piked Tkachev to Pak, a bit low on the Pak but no issues, shaposh to Ezhova, wild legs, van Leeuwen, bends her legs, full-in a little low but lands it well! 13.500 (6.2, 7.300)

9:19 am. Jennifer Williams SWE FX: Double L turn to triple split, little things but nice overall. Arabian double front, leans forward and takes a step. Switch ring to switch half, lovely. Double full is strong. Double tuck, chest a bit low, hop back. 12.900 (5.0, 7.900)

9:17 am. Lorette Charpy FRA UB: Nice handstand before the toe full, little arch, to van Leeuwen, pretty clean. Toe half to piked Jaeger, short handstand before the clear hip piked Tkachev, Pak, short handstand before the shaposh half, doesn’t get the lift she needs and lands to her knees whilst trying to grasp the bar. Does it again but bends her knees to get it up, dismounts with a double layout, a bit piked and low with a big hop forward. 12.433 (5.8, 6.633)

9:15 am. Floor Slooff NED BB: Switch leap mount, very low back leg. Switch half, short and a stumble. Roundoff layout, some hip and leg form but a solid landing. Front aerial, little check. Split jump to straddle jump, minor foot form. Wolf turn 1.5, falls forward and grabs the beam. Double full was solid. 11.800 (4.5, 7.300)

      • Super proud of Team GB only losing by two points!!!!! They are missing double Gadirova and quick rồi!!! They would have sailed to gold and would have been a show in for and Olympic medal

      • Interestingly, UB, their traditional weakness, was not their lowest point here. Nevertheless, still glad of their results, in the team and the individual finals. Hope they’ll keep on improving and improving.

  1. I believe moving forwards Romania 🇷🇴 will regain there former glory and why not .I also think the women’s and men’s team finals will be fantastic in Paris ,can’t wait .

    • I am up there hoping with you for Romania. These gymnasts, including the current juniors, have all the potential to be great and amazing. They need excellent coaching, including mental training. But they can totally be superstars in the sports. Hope they’ll get there.

      And hoping they’ll have wonderful results in the upcoming Paris Olympics.
