5:10 am. Team Standings
1. Great Britain 160.830
2. Romania 159.497
5:07 am. Alice Kinsella GBR FX: 12.733
5:05 am. Ana Barbosu ROU UB: Maloney to clear hip half, can’t get it around but stays on at least, hit her feet on the low bar while getting herself around before the clear hip piked Tkachev to Pak, Maloney to mixed grip to Ezhova, van Leeuwen with some leg form, full-in dismount with a good landing. 12.600
5:00 am. Lilia Cosman ROU UB: Clear hip to toe full, doesn’t quite get it around and kind of crashes it down onto the bar! Ugh, so sad. Back on for the Maloney to Pak to van Leeuwen, nice. Short handstand before the blind change, muscles it but gets it into the straddle Jaeger, blind full, a bit rushed, and a full-in dismount, a little low with a small hop. 11.333
4:58 am. Abigail Martin GBR FX: Double double, step back, but wow! So much power. Popa. Double layout, chest slightly forward but not bad at all. Small hop. A little iffy in one of her leaps but the swich half was fine. Just had a long pause after it before her next choreo section. Front layout through to double tuck, hop back. Double wolf turn. Double pike, hop back. She’s so great. 13.266
4:57 am. Amalia Ghigoarta ROU UB: 13.066
Alexa Moreno MEX BB: 11.200
Ruby Evans GBR FX: 13.133
4:56 am. Anna Lashchevska UKR VT: Another Yurchenko full, not as much amplitude or tidiness as Bickel’s right before, and lands with her chest down, but still fine. 12.833
4:54 am. Lena Bickel SUI VT: Yurchenko full, very clean, flared, small hop. Good for her!
4:53 am. Caitlin Rooskrantz RSA VT: DNS
Andreea Preda ROU UB: 10.933
Ahtziri Sandoval MEX BB: 11.733
4:51 am. Valentina Georgieva BUL VT: Yurchenko double full, excellent! A little deep and takes a step back, but wow, I’m so happy for her! 14.166
Second vault is a Tsuk 1.5! Really nice in the air, hop forward. WOW! She’s so amazing. 13.833
Averages a 13.999.
4:48 am. Georgia-Mae Fenton GBR FX: Memmel turn to double spin. Front double full, small hop. Double wolf turn, not the cleanest but she gets it around. Double tuck, big bounce back OOB. Her ankles are a bit crossed on the 2.5, big step forward OOB. Switch half. 12.466
4:40 am. Rotation 3 Standings
1. Romania 122.498
2. Great Britain 121.698
4:36 am. Moving on to the final subdivision! And my one billionth commercial.
4:35 am. Alice Kinsella GBR BB: Candle mount. Double wolf turn had a balance check but good correction. Front aerial was strong. Split jump to straddle jump, tiny bobble. Meant to connect the aerial to the jumps but did not. Side aerial to layout stepout, good! Tiny check and minor form. Switch leap to switch half, maybe a little slow and the split isn’t quite there on the latter. Small check again. Dismounts with a 2.5, step over to the side. 13.433
Lena Bickel SUI FX: 12.433
4:32 am. Natalia Escalera MEX UB: Van Leeuwen, blind change to piked Jaeger, minor form, Tkachev to Pak, good handstand before the Maloney to Gienger, a little low with some leg separation, blind full, some leg form, and a full-in dismount, a couple of steps back. 12.800
Oh no, she looks injured and is being helped off of the podium. So was she injured before the competition and that’s why she only did bars? I mean…if I qualified to the Olympics I’d also do whatever I could even if I was injured…
4:31 am. Sabrina Voinea ROU VT: Yurchenko double full, hips are a bit piked, knees are a bit weak, landing was a bit deep, but she got it around! 13.666
4:30 am. Ahtziri Sandoval MEX UB: 12.266
Becky Downie GBR BB: 13.400
Caitlin Rooskrantz RSA FX: 10.866
4:28 am. Ana Barbosu ROU VT: Tsuk double full, lots of leg form in the air but got it around nicely for a decent landing, step to the side OOB. 13.800
Goes for a Yurchenko 1.5 for her second vault, still some knee form in the air but it’s a bit cleaner than the first and her landing is even better, small hop. 13.466
Averages a 13.633.
4:27 am. Rifda Irfanaluthfi INA UB: Goes for a clear hip pirouette but falls out halfway through and has to jump down. Doe a clear hip to blind change to piked Jaeger, blind full, bail, leg separation, to toe shoot, piked her hips weirdly on a giant and had to come off, looks like she’s in pain honestly. Oh, that’s it, she’s not going to get back on and try the dismount again. So sad that this is how her Olympics went but thrilled she qualified by the skin of her teeth after her devastating fall in Antwerp on this same apparatus. 9.166
4:26 am. Lilia Cosman ROU VT: Yurchenko 1.5, slight knee form, hop forward. 13.500
4:24 am. Georgia-Mae Fenton GBR BB: Layout stepout mount, step back out of it. Double spin, good. Side aerial to back handspring, some knee form and a big wobble but fought to stay on. Front aerial to split jump, pauses. Think she wanted to connect that into a second jump. Triple wolf turn went well. Switch leap to sissone, little stumble. Double tuck, great landing! This was fab overall. 13.500
4:22 am. Amalia Ghigoarta ROU VT: 13.000
Alexa Moreno MEX UB: 12.633
Anna Lashchevska UKR FX: 12.566
4:20 am. Ruby Evans GBR BB: Got the wolf turn around well. Bhs bhs loso, super solid. Double full is mostly strong, just a slight check at the end. Front aerial with a check. 2.5 with a big hop forward. 12.600
4:16 am. It’s really 6:09 pm and I’m on my 50th commercial break. No rage stroke yet!
4:14 am. Rotation 2 Standings
1. Romania 81.532
2. Great Britain 81.365
4:12 am. Caitlin Rooskrantz RSA BB: 11.333
4:10 am. Sabrina Voinea ROU FX: Full-twisting double layout, great landing! Tucked her legs a bit. Double double, small step back. She looks a LOT better than she did in some training videos that had me incredibly worried about her health but her lower legs are so taped up, literally tape from the knees to the ankles. Double layout to punch front, that one got a little sketchy, came up a little short but I think actually punching into the tuck HELPED her because she probably would have punched to her hands without it. The tuck was a bit low and squatted but got it around. Double tuck and then a switch to switch full to finish. Fab work. 13.800
4:09 am. Valentina Georgieva BUL BB: 10.633
4:08 am. Becky Downie GBR UB: Toe full, a little arched, good corrections, to to stalder Tkachev to mixed grip to Ezhova to Maloney to Hindorff, wild! Ricna to Pak is nice. Van Leeuwen is clean. Slightly short on the handstand before the full-in dismount, tiny hop. Amazing! 14.666
4:04 am. Alexa Moreno MEX VT: Her first vault is the Handspring rudi, chest down, two steps back. Some form in the air throughout in both her hips and knees but she’s VERY happy with that! 14.166
Second vault is the Tsuk 1.5, form throughout once again in both the hips and legs but her landing was great! 13.733
Averages a 13.949.
Alice Kinsella GBR UB: 11.900
Ana Barbosu ROU FX: Hop back on the tuck full-in. Second pass is a 2.5 to front full, really nice! Little skid on the landing. Double tuck to punch front, really cool stuff. Switch half to finish. 13.600
4:03 am. Ahtziri Sandoval MEX VT: Looks like falls on both of her vaults? The first one got a 12.5 with a 5.2 D score, the second got a 12.6 with a 5.4 D score. 12.550 average, that’s a bummer.
Anna Lashchevska UKR BB: 11.866
Lilia Cosman ROU FX: 12.466
4:01 am. Georgia-Mae Fenton GBR UB: Hindorff, a little close, toe-on Tkachev to mixed grip to Ezhova, Maloney to Pak, had to repeat a kip cast to handstand before the van Leeuwen, blind full arched over a bit, but she corrected and got it into the full-in dismount, really low landing, stumbled forward. 12.833
4:00 am. Natalia Escalera MEX VT: DNS
Ruby Evans GBR UB: 11.200
Amalia Ghigoarta ROU FX: 13.333
3:58 am. Lena Bickel SUI BB: Hit the mount to switch half to jump series, check at the very end, but overall fab! Very quick connections. Side aerial with a slight check. Layout series for her acro, again very solid. Dismounts with a 2.5, some ankle form but a great landing! 13.066
3:55 am. Rotation 1 Standings
1. Great Britain 41.966
2. Romania 40.799
3:53 am. Moving to the second rotation! And will probably have one million ads.
3:52 am. Ruby Evans GBR VT: Looks like the went for the Amanar! They didn’t show it. 14.200
Valentina Georgieva BUL UB: 11.500
3:48 am. Sabrina Voinea ROU BB: Roundoff layout full, wobble but holds on! Pike jump to sissone. Bhs layout, another slight wobble but another good fight. Front aerial. Strong side aerial. Split jump half. Switch leap, little check. Switch half to back handspring. Double tuck, hop back. 14.000!
3:45 am. Ana Barbosu ROU BB: Punch front tuck mount, super solid. Front handspring front tuck, a little low, but also solid. Switch to switch half to Korbut, good connections. Double wolf turn, minor check at the tail end. Side aerial, great. Tour jeté half. She’s killing it! Dismounts with a 2.5, tiny hop forward. Great! 13.533
3:44 am. Alexa Moreno MEX FX: 12.800
3:43 am. Anna Lashchevska UKR UB: Inbar to Maloney to Pak, minor form. Stalder to toe shoot, inbar half to straddle Jaeger, toe full, a little iffy in the hip form, and a full-in dismount with a little hop. 13.033
3:41 am. Alice Kinsella GBR VT: Yurchenko double full, big hop back. She put up the number for the Amanar but I guess wanted to play it safe? Lots of power again! And really nice in the air. 13.933
3:40 am. Lena Bickel SUI UB: 12.266
Amalia Ghigoarta ROU BB: 13.266
Natalia Escalera MEX FX: DNS for her, she was supposed to compete but I read that she was dealing with injury before the meet?
3:39 am. Abigail Martin GBR VT: Yurchenko double full, two big steps back but showed lots of power. In the air her form issues are mostly related to crossed knees/ankles, and she also comes up a bit underrotated as she lands. 13.766
3:38 am. Georgia-Mae Fenton GBR VT: 13.833
Caitlin Rooskrantz RSA UB: Shaposh to Pak, toe full to van Leeuwen, minor leg form, blind change to piked Jaeger, Church to Gienger, amazing! Full-out dismount, a bit short with a hop forward. 13.733
Ahtziri Sandoval MEX FX: 11.833
3:36 am. Lilia Cosman ROU BB: Switch leap mount, low back leg, but connects to a split half to Korbut! Double wolf turn was nice. Side aerial loso was strong, front aerial to split jump to straddle jump, also not bad, just little things. Switch leap, slight wobble. 2.5 dismount, bounces off the side of the mat, but that was a solid routine. 12.833
3:34 am. Getting a little of the touch warmup now.
3:33 am. Athletes are marching out! The Peacock replay I’m watching has the Olly commentary! But there are two full minutes of commercials every 5 seconds so I might end up screaming.
Like this is so many ad breaks?! I looked at MAG subdivision three and there were only ad breaks for each rotation break?
