10:58 am. Still no live scores but will update from the stream with standings!
10:56 am. Amariah Moore BB: Full wolf turn. Bhs loso is really tidy! Front and side aerials also clean. Switch to split jump to straddle jump, bobble there. Her presence is so calm! Double full with a hop back.
10:54 am. Caroline Moreau FX: Full-in with a hop back. Front tuck through to double tuck with a hop back. Cool little back dive that pops forward right into wolf turn position. Switch leap to tour jeté half. Double pike, a little low but not bad, slides back on the landing. Switch half at the end.
10:53 am. Vivi Crain UB: Endo half, Maloney to stalder to inbar, arches a bit, to Pak, really short on the handstand before the half turn, does a 1.5 pirouette and I think it was a mistake hahaha, bless, turns around for the toe shoot, double tuck dismount, small hop.
10:52 am. Espy Chang BB: Nice back handspring mount. Triple flight series also good! Korbut. Back roll! Off on the side aerial unfortunately. Hit the jump series with minor form. 1.5 dismount, good landing.
10:50 am. Charleigh Bullock FX: Full-in, really deep landing, chest at her knees as well. Whip half to front layout full? Hit! Double tuck, chest also pretty far down there. Split jump full. 2.5 lands awkwardly and a bit forward, kinda falls forward out of it but stays upright.
10:48 am. Sydney Williams BB: Double wolf turn, has to grab the beam to steady herself right before finishing. Bhs loso with minor leg form. Side aerial. Split jump to sissone. Switch leap with a slight wobble on the landing, good cover though. Front aerial. 2.5 dismount with a step to the side.
10:47 am. Sophia Buechler UB: Maloney with nice lift before the Ricna, a little low there but nice connection! Toe half to Ezhova, form throughout isn’t the best but looks improved tbh! Toe full to van Leeuwen, toe-on to double tuck with a hop back.
10:45 am. Kylie Smith BB: Full turn, bhs loso, minor knee bend in the bhs but think she stretches out a bit after that? Switch to switch side, some foot form on the latter was noticeable. Front aerial, tiny checks, sissone to straddle jump, more foot form there. Side aerial, double tuck with a lunge back.
10:42 am. Trinity Wood FX: Full-in, chest down and a step back. Lands the double tuck well. Tour jeté half to switch ring, nice combo. Double pike goes a bit low and she has a bounce on the landing.
10:41 am. Lavi Crain UB: Hop change to Endo half, Maloney to stalder to Ricna, stalder full, Pak, arches over a bit on a half turn before the toe shoot but pulls it back, full-twisting double layout comes off a bit early and she ends up putting her hands down. UGH!
10:40 am. Kaylee Sath UB: Van Leeuwen, toe half with slight leg separation into the straddle Jaeger, caught a bit close, Pak with some iffy form, Ray to high was really short and she has to muscle the handstand after, double tuck, a little low, small hop.
10:38 am. Lila Richardson FX: Full-in with a small hop. Front tuck through to double full with a hop back. Switch to tour jeté half. Double tuck with a hop back.
10:33 am. Rotation 3 Standings
1. Lavi Crain 40.200
2. Vivi Crain 38.250
3. Addy VanGrinsven 38.100
4. Kylie Smith 37.750
5. Trinity Wood 37.200
6. Amia Pugh-Banks 37.100
7. Sydney Williams 36.900
8. Lila Richardson 36.850
10:29 am. Charleigh Bullock BB: Split jump half, bhs loso with some knee bends and she ends up a bit short, has to grab the beam sadly. Switch leap with a stumble, does a sissone to wolf jump as a backup combo, wobble. Wobble on a switch half as well, just looking a lil nervy. Front aerial, another wobble, ugh. Side aerial is better. Side somi, lands with her chest forward. double full with a hop back. She’s laughing and grabs her head like “WHYYY” hahaha, love that vibe. She was in the lead before this though, so that’s a bummer.
Aulya Daniels VT: Hit a Yurchenko full based on the replay!
10:28 am. Espy Chang UB: Misses the straddle Jaeger at the start. Nice lines in the front giant work before it though. Clear hip to Pak, has to take an extra kip before the toe shoot, blind full, double tuck with a good landing.
10:26 am. Amia Pugh-Banks BB: Double wolf turn, bends her knee to finish it. Bhs loso, some significant knee bends and a wobble. Switch to straddle to back tuck with a wobble but holds on. Switch half is a bit weak. Think she went for a Yang Bo kinda? Side aerial, not quite there, does a scale down to the beam for her low choreo moment, nice. 1.5 dismount with a step.
10:25 am. Sydney Williams UB: Blind full to blind change to front giant to piked Jaeger, nice lines on that! Bail to stalder to toe shoot, good. Clear hip to full-out, some form in the air and a small hop forward. Good routine!
10:24 am. Kylie Smith UB: Stalder half to front giant to big straddle Jaeger, Pak with slight leg separation, stalder to stalder full, a bit late, great handstand before the toe shoot, a little close, arched over slightly on the handstand before the giants, full-twisting double layout! Love.
10:23 am. Trinity Wood BB: Front handspring front tuck, some leg form, switch leap to switch side, low back leg on the first leap, side aerial with a slight check, front aerial, slow into the jump after. Korbut. Back tuck. Full turn. Sissone to wolf jump, better than prior dance! Double tuck dismount is good.
10:22 am. Vivi Crain VT: Got a replay of her Yurchenko full, could use a bit more power but she’s very wee.
10:21 am. Addy VanGrinsven UB: Straddle Jaeger, Pak, some leg separation, stalder to toe-on to toe shoot, caught a bit close but doesn’t really bother her, double tuck dismount, clean and stuck!
10:20 am. Lila Richardson BB: Off on the layout series at the beginning. Back on for a combo series after that which was nice! Side aerial good, split to sissone, Onodi, some arm bend and a wobble but love! Hop back on the double tuck.
10:18 am. Lavi Crain VT: Didn’t see what it was but looked really clean! Yurchenko full I believe? Decent landing, hop back.
Elaina Sliney UB: Toe full fell out of handstand about halfway through, tried to save it but had to take the fall. Back on for a Maloney to Pak, both clean. Toe shoot, good handstand before the blind change to straddle Jaeger, clean double tuck with a hop forward.
10:15 am. Caroline Moreau BB: Triple wolf turn to start. Oop, goes for a bhs loso loso but misses the second loso and tries to save it with a bhs but is too far over to the side and has to take the fall. Front aerial with a pause. Split jump to straddle jump. Side aerial. Switch to switch half, a little low/short on both, back tuck was solid, double tuck with a small step back, chest down.
10:11 am. Rotation 2 Standings
1. Charleigh Bullock 26.400
2. Lavi Crain 26.100
3. Addy VanGrinsven 26.000
4. Vivi Crain 25.650
5. Elaina Sliney 25.600
6. Amia Pugh-Banks 25.550
7. Lila Richardson 25.250
8. Kylie Smith 24.800
10:10 am. Live scores aren’t working but I’ll get the rotation two standings from the stream hopefully shortly!
10:07 am. Aulya Daniels FX: Excellently stuck double pike. Low double tuck but gets it around. A couple of the leaps have been a little short. Front tuck through to back…double full I think? Kinda fell apart form-wise so a bit rough but a hit routine overall.
10:06 am. Trinity Wood UB: Ray, clear hip to toe-on to toe full, Pak, double front with a bit of a stumble back.
10:03 am. Lavi Crain FX: Strong full-in to start. Switch ring to tour jeté half. Triple full! Really tidy and controlled double wolf turn. Front double full. Oh, she’s like LOCKED IN. NOOOOO, and then crashes the double tuck. I’m so rude for jinxing her.
10:01 am. Amia Pugh-Banks UB: Blind change to straddle Jaeger, clear hip to Pak, some leg separation, Maloney to Gienger, leg separation was a bit more pronounced there, missed the handstand before the blind full into the dismount, small hop, solid set though, just needs a lil tightening!
9:59 am. Kaylee Sath FX: Full-in to start, some form and chest a bit low on the landing. Front layout to front full, only gets it like halfway around and has to jump the rest of it a bit. Double L turn was wild. Switch ring to tour jeté full I think? Hit the last pass.
Saw a couple of vaults in replay, wasn’t paying super close attention because it was kinda quick but saw Espy Chang with a fall unfortunately!
9:57 am. Lila Richardson UB: Ray, blind full, Pak, some solid skills to start! Toe shoot back to the high bar, blind change to front giant to double front, REALLY clean! Okay!
9:56 am. Vivi Crain FX: Okay scorpion turn!!! Double tuck with a bounce back. 2.5 to punch front was also nice. Double full is solid and pretty clean.
9:54 am. I missed the first couple of routines shown on the stream in the second rotation but jumping back in now!
9:50 am. Rotation 1 Standings
1. Lavi Crain 14.000
2. Amia Pugh-Banks 13.500
3. Charleigh Bullock 13.100
4. Caroline Moreau 13.050
5. Lila Richardson 12.900
– Vivi Crain 12.900
9:43 am. Kylie Smith FX: Hit the first pass and then a front layout full in the second line. Double tuck with a hop back. That’s all I saw, unfortunately!
9:41 am. Lavi Crain BB: Switch leap mount, lovely front aerial to split jump to straddle jump, Bhs loso loso, extension is like…ALMOST there. Overall she’s so nice to watch though. Split ring jump. Switch to switch half, kinda low on the back leg and has a little wobble. Korbut. Strong 2.5 dismount.
9:40 am. Addy VanGrinsven FX: Double pike, clean, and a great landing! Chest maybe forward to be picky but overall it was nice. 1.5 to front full was a little short getting around but nothing severe. Straddle full. Switch to switch side. Double tuck with a small hop back.
9:39 am. Trinity Wood VT: Got a replay of this I believe. Yurchenko full, some form and maybe slightly short.
9:37 am. Kaylee Sath BB: Hit the jump series but a little weak in the shape and extension. Some leg form on the acro series, goes for a switch to switch half which is a bit short on the latter. Some nice extension and choreo going down to the beam before her wolf turn. Side aerial. Double full, a bit deep, small hop.
9:36 am. Elaina Sliney FX: Double pike, slight leg separation and a bounce back. 1.5 to front full, good. Front layout to front double full, step forward. Had a weird little balance check on her final pose, haha. Good routine!
9:34 am. Greta Krob BB: Front aerial, split jump to straddle jump, a bit short, some leg from on the acro series, standing back tuck, just a back…tuck dismount? Or layout, I didn’t pay attention but it was just a single salto.
9:32 am. Amariah Moore FX: Strong full-in to start. Powerful front tuck through to double tuck, hop back OOB. Switch to split full. Double pike to finish.
9:28 am. Sophia Buechler BB: I missed the beginning, caught up at the front aerial, side somi with a big wobble and GREAT fight, thought she would be gone for sure but she stays on! Double full with a hop back.
9:27 am. Charleigh Bullock VT: Good Yurchenko full!
9:24 am. Sydney Williams FX: Double tuck, small bounce back. Switch ring and tour jeté half before the next pass, front full, minor leg form. 2.5 to finish.
Amia Pugh-Banks VT: Ooh, went for a Yurchenko double! It’s a bit scrappy but she gets it around.
9:20 am. Touch is just getting underway!
9:15 am. While we wait, here’s the rotation list for the start of the comp:
VT – Amia Pugh-Banks, Charleigh Bullock, Caroline Moreau, Lila Richardson, Trinity Wood
BB – Aulya Daniels, Sophia Buechler, Vivi Crain, Greta Krob, Kaylee Sath, Lavi Crain
FX – Sydney Williams, Espy Chang, Amariah Moore, Elaina Sliney, Addy VanGrinsven, Kylie Smith
9:14 am. Okay, athletes should be marching out in one minute. I assume by the time introductions, the anthem, and touch warm-ups are done, the competition should start by like…9:22 am ish?
9:11 am. The schedule said 9 am, the stream said 9:10 am, and the lower-third on the stream says 9:15 am so as per usual I have no idea what’s going on with a USA Gymnastics meet start time.
9:08 am. I’m watching the stream on YouTube and following scores on MyUSAGym!
I feel like I’m only “very familiar” with about five gymnasts in this junior field so I’m excited to see a largely new generation! Some I’ve seen in Hopes but never really pay super close attention to this level…and then a few others are brand new to elite so this should be a great way to get to know more of the wee ones.
