3:46 pm. Miyata Shoko JPN FX: Whip whip through to full-in, not the tidiest landing but not bad either! Also nailed the 2.5 to punch front. Strong 1.5 to front full. This music is horrendous but bless her heart. Double pike is really buckled with a hop back but that’ll do it for gold! 13.600 (5.7, 7.900)!
3:43 pm. Lorena Medina ESP VT: Yurchenko full, hip and leg form aren’t quite there but lands it well enough, just a small hop and chest down. 12.866
3:40 pm. Okamura Mana JPN FX: Double tuck, chest down but feet don’t move. Front layout to front double full, WOW, that landing!!! One of the better front-facing twisting landings, especially for a double full. Memmel turn, gorg. 2.5 to finish, also incredible. She LOCKED IN. 13.366 (5.4, 7.966)!
3:39 pm. Céleste Mordenti LUX VT: Yurchenko full, kinda tucks it a bit but lands it well enough! 12.133 – wow, they dropped her D score to the tucked full!
3:36 pm. Tonya Paulsson TWN FX: Kind of hops the L turn around at the beginning. Strong double layout for her first tumbling line, not perfect but gets it around with no major errors. Full-in with a small hop back, minor leg form in the air. Switch leap to switch half, good. Front tuck through to layout full, very clean, tiniest foot movement. Super clean double wolf turn. 12.833
WOW, she moves ahead of Célia Serber by just 0.033!!
3:35 pm. Ada Hautala FIN VT: Yurchenko full, piked down a bit with some leg form but good overall, small step back. 13.000
3:32 pm. Shin Solyi KOR FX: Front layout to rudi, goes a bit awry, puts her hands down. Solid double tuck. 1.5 to front full, clean and solid. Chest down on the double pike but otherwise nice. 11.766
3:31 pm. Anina Wildi SUI VT: Handspring front pike half, step back, but very powerful! 12.600
3:28 pm. Jade Vansteenkiste BEL FX: Nailed the 2.5 to front layout and then the second pass, I didn’t see what it was but think it ended with a front full? Switch leap to tour jeté half. Super high double pike, nearly stuck, just the tiniest movement! Oooh this was fabulous. 13.600!
3:27 pm. Veronica Mandriota ITA VT: Nearly knees and hands down on the Yurchenko full. Then took a big leap out of THAT. Rough. 12.233
3:25 pm. Touch break at the midway point in the final rotation!
Célia Serber finishes her day with a 52.032 AA score!
Okamura Mana will need above a 12.532 and Tonya Paulsson will need above a 12.8 on floor to surpass her. Miyata Shoko will only need above an 11.366
3:23 pm. Célia Serber FRA VT: Yurchenko full, REALLY nice, and the landing was great! Only piked slightly before hitting. 13.300 (4.2, 9.100)
3:21 pm. Selina Kickinger AUT FX: I missed the beginning, saw from the 1.5 to front layout, which she had to tuck to get around and still ended up almost sitting it. Memmel turn with some sass. Double full had a lot of leg form going on. 12.333
3:20 pm. Oop, Okamura Mana submitted an inquiry on beam and her score went DOWN THREE TENTHS. Not much separation between her and Tonya Paulsson at all anymore! Fewer than three tenths.
3:19 pm. Evandra Zlobec CAN VT: Yurchenko full, a bit piked and some knee form, lunge back. 12.766
3:17 pm. Crystelle Lake GBR FX: Switch full. 1.5 to front full with a big hop forward. 2.5 had an iffy landing, I got distracted by her music changing to “Maybe This Time” as someone who believes Cabaret is the best musical ever produced in history, double tuck to finish, hop forward. 12.666
3:16 pm. Kate McDonald AUS VT: Just a handspring vault, no salto, hilarious, love this for her. Welcome back to the all-around I suppose! 10.533 (1.6, 8.933)
3:13 pm. Xiang Lulu CHN FX: Switch ring half and then hands down on the full-in, legendary combo of things happening. Switch ring to tour jeté half I believe for her leap pass. Crashed the double tuck at the end. 10.633 (4.8, 5.833)
3:12 pm. Maddison Hajjar CAN VT: Yurchenko back tuck, I honestly couldn’t tell at first if she meant to do that or not, it looked a little timer-y and not planned, but also like…the tuck looked legit and not like she chucked it out of fear lol. I’m gonna say it was not planned by the look on her face. 11.500 (3.0, 8.500)
3:07 pm. Rotation 3 Standings
1. Miyata Shoko JPN 40.666
2. Okamura Mana JPN 39.800
3. Tonya Paulsson TWN 39.232
4. Shin Solyi KOR 38.933
5. Célia Serber FRA 38.732
6. Xiang Lulu CHN 38.566
7. Selina Kickinger AUT 38.565
8. Jade Vansteenkiste BEL 38.166
3:04 pm. Okamura Mana JPN BB: Lovely layout stepout mount, just a slight hip check. Tour jeté half was a little short. Side aerial to layout stepout, very solid, front aerial to split jump to straddle jump, perfect. Gorgeous double wolf turn and side somi. Switch ring, so precise on the landing. Super clean 2.5 dismount with a hop forward. 14.000 (5.8, 8.200)
3:02 pm. Céleste Mordenti LUX FX: 1.5 through to double full, clean, just a little unsure of the landing but nothing severe. Front full, leaps out of it into a stag. Maybe not fully controlled but she covered up the tumbling landing well with that jump. Double tuck landing was really strong. Tour jeté half to switch half. 12.433
3:00 pm. Tonya Paulsson TWN BB: Double wolf turn, very clean. Bhs loso, so so so solid, as are the front and side aerials! Switch to switch half, little stumble but clean, then a standing back tuck. Stuck layout full. NCAA 9.95, it was that good. Just that one minor bobble. One SEC judge would still give it a 10 I fear. 12.966 (4.8, 8.166)
2:56 pm. Ada Hautala FIN FX: Double wolf turn and a Popa to start. Front layout through to double full, small hop forward. Double pike, slightly on the short side but not bad, hop forward. Hit the leap series. Double tuck with her chest down and a small hop. 12.433
2:54 pm. Shin Solyi KOR BB: Hit the leap mount into a leap, a little short maybe but hit. Bhs loso loso goes well! Side aerial, chest down, hit the jump series after. Front aerial to Korbut, a little crooked, lovely triple wolf turn! Onodi to scale, okay ICON. Just a layout dismount. 12.900
2:51 pm. Anina Wildi SUI FX: Nice turn sequence at the beginning. Double pike had a nice high set and a solid landing. Looked good on the leap series. 1.5 to front full, don’t think she meant to tuck the latter but alas. Oof HARD fall on the double tuck. Just lost steam it seemed. 10.566
2:49 pm. Jade Vansteenkiste BEL BB: Stumble forward on the big punch front tuck mount. Switch leap was nice, to tour jeté half, connection was slow but individually they were very nice. Bhs loso, just a minor adjustment. Wolf turn 1.5 didn’t finish super well but good save. Strong side somi. Good on the layout full dismount. 12.800 (4.8, 8.000)
2:47 pm. Veronica Mandriota ITA FX: Triple wolf turn. 2.5 had wild knees and lost awareness at the end, big step forward to control it. 1.5 to front full, again her awareness and leg form are just like, not there? Sits this time though. Switch ring to switch half. Memmel to full spin. Double pike, chest down, lunge back. 11.433 (5.1, 6.333)
2:45 pm. Selina Kickinger AUT BB: Switch leap mount to switch leap to split jump, not perfect but connected all three. Side aerial to layout stepout, really short on both, and then couldn’t pull up and around on the latter, falls. Switch half to Korbut. Hit the side somi and the dismount. 12.333
2:42 pm. Célia Serber FRA FX: Double L turn to double spin. Big hop back on the double pike. Front tuck through to double full, some leg form throughout. 2.5 almost down to her knees, just looked a little…not lost in the air but not quite there in the twists. Double wolf turn was nice at the end. 12.033 (4.9, 7.333, -0.2 ND)
2:40 pm. Touch for the halfway point of the third rotation!
2:37 pm. Evandra Zlobec CAN FX: Full-in to start, chest down on the landing. Lovely double L turn. Front tuck through to 1.5, great landing. Very clean double wolf turn. Double tuck, chest also pretty far down there. Nice split jump full. 13.100 (5.1, 8.000)
2:35 pm. Crystelle Lake GBR BB: Hit the double wolf turn. Bhs loso went well. Front aerial to jumps, nice! Switch leap. Double spin with a break at the hips. Hit the 1.5 dismount with a little bobble. Good routine! 12.266 (4.9, 7.366)
2:32 pm. Kate McDonald AUS FX: Great double front to start! Step forward. I didn’t see the next pass but caught the landing and saw a small step forward. Hit the leap series and wolf turn. I also couldn’t watch the end (sorry, a work thing came up!) but think she had a fully hit routine! 13.133
2:29 pm. Xiang Lulu CHN BB: Candle mount. Hit the bhs loso. Split jump half to ring jump to Korbut, gorgy!!! Off on the side somi sadly. Front aerial to split jump to stag ring jump. Switch ring. Piked gainer full dismount. 12.400
2:27 pm. Maddison Hajjar CAN FX: Strong double pike to start! Double L turn skids around a bit. Double tuck with a small hop. I couldn’t watch the rest but think she hit everything! 12.033
2:24 pm. Miyata Shoko JPN BB: Switch leap mount. Roundoff layout, massive wobble but fights through. Switch leap to sissone. Front aerial to split jump. Big wobble out of the…double turn? Full? I don’t even know. Hit the side aerial. Side somi with her chest down and another bobble. She’s going really fast through everything and I’d say is rushing a bit, so maybe nerves? Double pike, feet are basically planted, chest a bit down. 13.500 (5.7, 7.800)
2:22 pm. Lorena Medina ESP FX: Memmel turn. Mostly good landing on the full-in, chest down though. Front tuck through to double tuck, also good feet on the landing. Her music is “I Will Survive” which is such a slay. Split jump full was a bit short. Double L turn to illusion, some leg form. And precision stuff. Switch to switch full I think for her leap series. Double pike, a bit slow to rotate and lands with her chest down but feet again barely move. 12.466 (4.7, 7.766)
2:19 pm. Rotation 2 Standings
1. Miyata Shoko JPN 27.166
2. Célia Serber FRA 26.699
3. Tonya Paulsson TWN 26.266
4. Selina Kickinger AUT 26.232
5. Xiang Lulu CHN 26.166
6. Shin Solyi KOR 26.033
7. Okamura Mana JPN 25.800
8. Jade Vansteenkiste BEL 25.366
2:17 pm. Tonya Paulsson TWN UB: Lovely lines on the handstand but the toe full was quite late. Maloney to Gienger, clean on both. Blind change to big piked Jaeger, gorgeous. Lovely Pak. Clean van Leeuwen. Legs are GLUED. Clear hip to layout dismount, stuck and very clean. 13.466 (5.1, 8.366)
2:16 pm. Veronica Mandriota submitted an inquiry on beam but her score remains unchanged.
2:14 pm. Ada Hautala FIN BB: Big aggressive punch front tuck mount. Bhs loso, ugh, comes up a bit short and falls. Double wolf turn with a minor check. Ooh, switch to switch side half I think that was. Then a side somi with some wobbles and a cross split jump. Lots of side work from her! 1.5 dismount with a small step. 11.700 (4.9, 6.800)
2:12 pm. Shin Solyi KOR UB: Maloney to Pak, clean! Arched over the handstand after though, big correction, then was a bit messy in the van Leeuwen. Clear hip to half turn to straddle Jaeger, toe full was a bit rough, to full-in, really low chest and a big lunge on the landing. Good fight through that. 12.700 (5.4, 7.300)
2:09 pm. Anina Wildi SUI BB: Layout stepout mount, wobble but saves it. Bhs loso goes well. Cross split jump with her chest forward and a slight wobble on the landing. A little short on the side aerial. Sissone to wolf jump, also kinda connects that right into the full turn, nice. Switch leap, big enough pause before the switch half to break that connection. 1.5 dismount. 12.033 (4.7, 7.333)
2:07 pm. Jade Vansteenkiste BEL UB: Toe…oop. Meant to do a toe full but fell apart halfway through and tried to get the next half around but fell. Maloney with leg separation to Pak, also leg form there. Van Leeuwen, some crossed legs, blind change to straddle Jaeger, blind full was a bit late, clean double tuck with a little bounce. 11.533 (4.8, 6.733)
2:05 pm. Veronica Mandriota ITA BB: Switch leap mount into a ring leap, split leap to sissone, nice! Bhs loso started out well but then had a major wobble. Double spin with a break at the hips. Front aerial with another check. Split jump full. Side aerial, adjustment there. Double full dismount. 10.966 (4.3, 6.666)
2:03 pm. Selina Kickinger AUT UB: Clear hip to Maloney to Pak, minor leg separation on the latter. Good van Leeuwen. Blind change to straddle Jaeger. Some form as she turns around before the giants into the blind full, tucked toe front half, looked stuck! 12.966 (4.9, 8.066)
2:01 pm. Célia Serber FRA BB: Back handspring mount. Bhs layout, a bit piked, leg up, but holds on. Switch leap to switch half, some form in both but nothing super severe. Front aerial, tried to connect it seemed but missed whatever she meant to do and just moved on. Double wolf turn with an adjustment at the end. Side somi, slight hip adjustment. Front full dismount with a hop. 13.066!
1:59 pm. Crystelle Lake GBR UB: Toe full was a bit crooked, clean Maloney to Pak, nice. Bent her legs considerably on the van Leeuwen, blind change to straddle Jaeger, I have no idea what went on for that dismount hahaha, it didn’t look like she meant to dismount at all and then was off the apparatus, let’s see the replay. Nooooo, they didn’t show it. 12.200 (4.7, 7.500)
1:57 pm. Evandra Zlobec CAN BB: Lovely double wolf turn. Side aerial with slightly bent legs but gets it into the layout stepout, just a bit short. Switch leap, big wobble. Switch half to split jump, much better. Lovely side somi. 1.5 dismount, big lunge on the landing. 12.300 (5.0, 7.300)
1:55 pm. Touch at the halfway point of rotation two!
1:51 pm. Kate McDonald AUS BB: Switch leap mount. Side aerial went a bit crooked on the landing and her hips kept moving, ends up falling. Hit the bhs loso and a lovely front aerial to straddle jump to Korbut. Off again on something after that but I missed the skill. Hit the jump series to back handspring. 2.5 dismount, a little low with a hop forward. 11.366 (5.3, 6.066)
1:49 pm. Xiang Lulu UB: One-arm front full pirouette to layout Jaeger, gorg. Pak, toe-on to Maloney, a little low, to Gienger, also very low. One-arm front 1.5 pirouette, comes REALLY low out of the full-in dismount and kinda lands in a heap but stands up quickly out of it. 12.933
1:47 pm. Maddison Hajjar CAN BB: Bhs bhs loso, little adjustment at the end but nice overall. Full turn. Switch half to wolf jump was cool. Side aerial was strong. Hit the rest including the dismount. 12.766 (4.7, 8.066)
1:45 pm. Alizee Letrange-Mouakit FRA UB: Blind change to big and clean piked Jaeger but looked like she had to reach for the catch quite a bit, fingertips brushed but she couldn’t hold on, a fall sadly. Pak was nice once she remounted. Toe-on to Maloney to clear hip half, arched over a little, good blind full, blind change to front giant to clean double front with a small step. 11.166
1:43 pm. Lorena Medina ESP BB: Switch leap mount. Standing back tuck with a minor bobble. Aggressive on the bhs loso, has a major series of wobbles but fights throughout and holds on. L turn has an even bigger wobble, her attempt to correct actually made it like an L turn to full pirouette lol, but ultimately she falls on that one. Side aerial wasn’t quite where it needed to be but she stayed on for that. Hit her leap series with minor form and a check. Double pike, deep landing, pulled her chest up to correct, and flew to her back. Ugh. 10.366 (4.8, 5.566)
1:41 pm. Miyata Shoko JPN UB: Straddle Jaeger to start, massive Tkachev to Pak, Maloney with leg separation to Gienger, minor form there but not bad. Good handstand before the toe-on to blind full, dismounts with a full-in, the twist looked a bit weird in the air but she got it around and landed well! 13.633 (5.5, 8.133)
1:39 pm. Céleste Mordenti LUX BB: Switch leap mount, minor adjustment that she made really fluid with her arm choreo. Switch leap with a little bobble. Switch half, not quite at the full split. Lovely bhs loso! Noooo, she’s off on the side aerial. Gets the wolf turn around. Tuck 1.5 dismount with a hop. 11.700
1:37 pm. Mana Okamura JPN UB: Clean handstand before the inbar to inbar full, had to adjust in handstand in that full pirouette before the Maloney to Pak to stalder to stalder half to toe shoot, damn, I think that’s everything she did, I couldn’t type fast enough. Toe full was really crooked in handstand, toe half to piked Jaeger, clean double tuck with a small step. 12.900 (5.2, 7.700)
1:32 pm. Rotation 1 Standings
1. Jade Vansteenkiste BEL 13.833
2. Célia Serber FRA 13.633

8. Alizee Letrange FRA 13.133
– Crystelle Lake, GBR, 13.133
1:31 pm. Shin Solyi KOR VT: Yurchenko full, mostly great in the air, hit that landing like a dart! Fab. 13.333
1:29 pm. Anina Wildi SUI UB: Blind change to straddle Jaeger, blind full to low Tkachev but got it over the bar without issue, Pak, fell over to the side in handstand but adjusted into the toe shoot, double layout came off a bit low and had some form, still got the landing. 11.800
1:27 pm. Jade Vansteenkiste BEL VT: Yurchenko 1.5, tiniest hop forward but that was really strong! Mostly really clean in the air and opened up so nicely into the landing. 13.833 (4.6, 9.233)!
1:26 pm. Veronica Mandriota ITA UB: Tkachev to Pak, big leg separation on the Pak which was a bit rushed, the toe full also a bit rushed, toe-on to van Leeuwen with some leg form, stalder half to front layout 1.5 dismount I believe that was? 12.833 (5.3, 7.533)
1:25 pm. Selina Kickinger AUT VT: Yurchenko full, some pike down but solid on the landing. 13.266
1:23 pm. Célia Serber FRA UB: Short handstand before the toe half to piked Jaeger, a little close but not bad. Pak was pretty clean. Maloney to Gienger, really nice! Quick blind full, nice, and then a LOVELY double layout dismount! Gorg overall. 13.633!
1:22 pm. Crystelle Lake GBR VT: Yurchenko full, a bit low but got some distance it seemed! Mostly good in the air, just minor hip form, and a hop back on the landing. 13.133
1:21 pm. Evandra Zlobec CAN UB: Toe full was a bit late, nice handstand before the clean Maloney to Pak, which wasn’t as clean but still not bad. Van Leeuwen had lots of leg problems. Toe half with some hip form before the Jaeger, double tuck with a step back. 12.233 (4.8, 7.433)
1:19 pm. Xiang Lulu CHN VT: Yurchenko full, really solid landing! Minor form in the air and not a ton of power but good run overall. 13.233 (4.2, 9.033)
1:18 pm. Kate McDonald AUS UB: Hop change to Weiler half to Maloney to clear hip full, noooo, lost her leg form halfway through and had to fully bend them, somehow went right back to handstand and fought through into the next giant into the Tkachev to Pak, clean van Leeuwen, toe full was really late to full-in, launches forward and maybe put her hand down? 12.466 (5.7, 6.766)
1:14 pm. Céleste Mordenti submitted an inquiry and her bars score was changed from a 12.9 to a 13.2!
1:13 pm. Think we’re at the halfway point for the next group of touch warmups!
1:12 pm. Alizee Letrange-Mouakit FRA VT: Yurchenko full, some pike as she got close to the landing but looked like lots of power! Well, gets some great height but not really distance. Just a hop back on the landing. 13.133 (4.2, 8.933)
1:10 pm. Maddison Hajjar CAN UB: Toe full with some hip form to Maloney to Pak, mostly nice on those latter two. Van Leeuwen with some crossed legs. Toe half to straddle Jaeger, caught a bit high and forward and then couldn’t get the giant around after, kinda bent in half and tried to get her rhythm back but had to hop off. Just a layout dismount, stuck. 11.066 (4.7, 6.366)
1:08 pm. Miyata Shoko JPN VT: Yurchenko double full, first twist was solid, but she lost her form in the second and landed a bit short with a big lunge forward. 13.533
1:07 pm. Lorena Medina ESP UB: Clear hip to Maloney, big leg separation there, into a Gienger also with major leg separation. Caught the piked Jaeger, a bit low and close on the catch, bail with lots of leg form to toe shoot, blind full, and a full-twisting double layout, really piked in the air. Lots of noticeable form errors in this but a hit! 12.266
1:05 pm. Okamura Mana JPN VT: Tsuk full, some hip form in the air throughout, a little low on the landing, hops back into the salute. 12.900 (4.4, 8.500)
1:03 pm. Céleste Mordenti LUX UB: Hop change before the straddle Jaeger, toe-on to toe full to Pak, the full was maybe a little rushed but nothing major, Maloney with leg separation to Gienger, more leg separation as she caught, double layout came off a little low but no problem getting it around and landing it well. 12.900
Oh, hey, she submitted an inquiry and her score was changed to a 13.200!
1:02 pm. Tonya Paulsson TWN VT: Yurchenko full, really clean and flared but didn’t get a strong push off the table and landed REALLY low with buckled knees. Big hop back after that. 12.800 (4.2, 8.600)
1:01 pm. Ada Hautala FIN UB: Caught the straddle Jaeger and Hindorff, nice! Bail to clear hip to toe shoot, blind full, clean double tuck, nearly stuck. Fabulous start! 12.700 (4.5, 8.200)
12:58 pm. Instead of four apparatuses of six athletes, this field of 18 will be split into two groups of nine. Longer rotations in that sense, but easier to follow along at least!
12:56 pm. Touch warmups are underway!
12:54 pm. Athletes are currently being announced for the competition!
Sorry for the lack of live blogs…I have been sick this week AND still working full time from home so there was no way in hell I’d be waking up before 9 am ET. Of course this is when Europe decided to hold two major competitions that I typically HATE to miss! But glad I could catch at least one bit to watch and live blog.
