11:34 am. Caio Souza BRA SR: Maltese, inverted hang to front swing up to planche, inverted hang to maltese, inverted hang to piked saltos to pike to iron cross, roll to iron cross, back giant to handstand, fell out of it and had to push up, double double dismount with a hop. 13.250 (5.3, 7.950)

11:31 am. Vladyslav Hryko UKR SR: Maltese to iron cross, inverted pike to front tucks to front pikes to handstand, arches and sways then kinda falls out of it, pushes it back up, back giant to handstand, double double dismount with a step. 12.450 (4.9, 7.550)

11:28 am. Bohdan Suprun UKR SR: Planche to maltese, nice form, out to iron cross. Inverted hang to front giant to handstand, front through to maltese, loses that position a little, pulls up to iron cross from a hang, back giant to handstand, muscles and shakes a bit, double double dismount goes a little wild on the landing. 13.400 (5.1, 8.300)

11:25 am. Sokratis Pilakouris CYP SR: Inverted cross swings to planche down to maltese, inverted hang to front giant to handstand, clean, swings through to maltese then out to iron cross, back giant to handstand, good control, triple back, and HE SITS IT. Nooooo. 12.850 (5.7, 7.150)

11:23 am. Halfway point touch warmup! Kosak leads among the four who have competed so far.

11:20 am. Mehmet Ayberk Kosak TUR SR: Inverted cross through to planche dropped down to maltese, so nice as a combo of elements. Inverted hang to back giant to handstand, tidy, swings through to maltese then push out to iron cross. Inverted hang with a front giant to handstand, also mostly great, double double dismount STUCK! WOWSERS. Actually maybe slightly moved his foot in the replay but this was excellent. 13.900 (5.3, 8.500, +0.1)

11:17 am. Santiago Agostinelli ARG SR: Maltese was nice, to iron cross, inverted pike to piked saltos to iron cross, maybe could’ve held a hair longer, inverted pike to front tucked saltos to handstand, has to muscle that up a bit, went right into the dismount, I didn’t even clock what it was, half-in double tuck maybe? Looked stuck! Oh, a piked double front half-out in the replay, some minor form. 13.150 (4.5, 8.550, +0.1)

11:15 am. Christos Tsingelidis GRE SR: Maltse to inverted hang back out to maltese, rolls through to iron cross. Saltos to front pike to iron cross, front giant to handstand, good control, back giant to handstand a little shakier, crashes the full-twisting double layout dismount, hands down. Just looked like he came off a little low. 12.450 (5.1, 7.350)

11:13 am. Daniel Villafañe ARG SR: Maltese to iron cross, looked clean. Planche with a swing to handstand then through to maltese, really nice positions. Pulls up to iron cross, then inverted hang to front giant to handstand, full-twisting double layout, stuck! I think Maybe moved a heel but pretty close. 13.600 (5.0, 8.500, +0.1)

11:08 am. Men have been introduced for rings! Touch warmups about to get underway.

11:00 am. Medal ceremonies are underway now! Will be back in 10-15 minutes for rings.

7. Lucy Stewart, Australia, 11.350
8. Laura Casabuena, Spain, 10.650

10:53 am. Romane Hamelin FRA UB: Chow half, inbar half to lovely straddle Jaeger, inbar to Pak, a little low there but no problems catching, van Leeuwen, just a layout dismount. 13.250 (5.5, 7.750)

10:52 am. Dmitrijs Mickevics LAT PH: I wasn’t typing at the beginning but everything looked great, Russians between the handles went super well, lovely transition up to the handstand for the dismount. 13.800 (4.8, 9.000)

10:49 am. Shanna-Kae Grant GBR UB: Caught a big straddle Jaeger at the start, Pak was nice, clear hip to toe full, Maloney to Gienger, a bit low with some leg form there, arabian double front dismount with some leg separation and a hop. 12.700 (5.3, 7.400)

10:47 am. Mateo Zugec CRO PH: Scissors to circles without much wrong, really aggressive and confident in his circles, Russians between the handles, then travels in them, good body line throughout, travels again but then NOOOOO right when he gets to the handstand for the dismount he completely misses it and comes off the side. He looks devastated. 13.500 (5.1, 8.400)

10:45 am. Ana Luiza Lima BRA UB: Toe full, a little late, to Maloney to Pak, minor form in her legs throughout. Decent on the van Leeuwen. Blind change to piked Jaeger was good. Nice double layout with just a step forward. 13.050 (5.3, 7.750)

10:43 am. Vladyslav Hryko UKR PH: Scissors with a little muscle to handstand down to scissors, Busnari was a bit tentative but works through it down to single handle circles, some hip form throughout, Russians look a bit cleaner, big muscle to handstand before the dismount. 13.500 (5.7, 7.800)

10:40 am. Lucy Stewart AUS UB: Good handstand before the toe full, Maloney to Pak, some leg and foot form there, van Leeuwen with leg separation, blind change with a little hesitation to the Khorkina, arabian double front dismount that she sits. 11.350 (5.0, 6.350)

10:38 am. Krisztofer Meszaros HUN PH: Scissors to handstand back down to circles, very quick and clean so far, minor leg form at one point while transitioning, travels in Russians, then in circles, loses some hip form a bit, good press to handstand into the dismount, this was lovely! 13.850 (5.5, 8.350)

10:35 am. Now it’s the touch for the second half of competition.

10:34 am. A bit of a pause while Casabuena is looked at. It was so weird, she got up from the fall and went to the chalk bowl, but then just kind of collapsed, it looks like her shoulder. Seems to be up and walking out surrounded by medics now.

10:29 am. Laura Casabuena ESP UB: Clear hip to Maloney to blind full, Church, noooo, falls. Looks okay at first but then grabs her shoulder when she goes to get up and now she’s lying down again while medics examine her. NOOOOO. 10.650 (3.1, 8.050, -0.5)

10:26 am. Alkinoos Graikos GRE PH: Good circle work, both on the horse and on the handles, travels move seamlessly, Russians traveling, nooo, loses his leg form and comes off. Back on and kind of rushes the dismount. 12.600 (5.4, 7.200)

10:23 am. Zsofia Kovacs HUN UB: Caught the piked Jaeger, went for a Tkachev but she kind of lost it after the catch and hopped off. I assume I missed things at the start of this because, you guessed it, THE STREAM THAT I PAID FOR IS AWFUL. It’s jumping ahead 20 seconds at a time. Back on for a van Leeuwen, just a layout dismount with a hop. 12.050 (4.6, 7.450)

10:21 am. Filip Ude CRO PH: Scissors to circlesl, Russians across the horse, circles back, good transition to the single handle but he loses his rhythm and comes off unfortunately. Back on, muscles a bit to the handstand for the dismount. 12.900 (5.1, 7.800)

10:19 am. Astria Nélo FRA UB: Toe half to Endo to straddle Jaeger, really nice. Stalder to Pak, clean. Short handstand before the van Leeuwen, and after as well. hits the full pirouette to a double tuck dismount. 12.600 (4.7, 7.900)

10:16 am. Eyal Indig ISR PH: Scissors to circles, one-arm swing was clean, Russians with good clearance from the horse, and then stream had a glitch and when it came back he was off. Came off again after losing his leg form almost immediately after remounting. Back on basically just for the dismount. 11.650 (5.5, 6.150)

10:15 am. Zoja Szekely HUN UB: Inbar full, gets a little stuck halfway through but corrects to the Maloney to Pak to Chow to Gienger, some hip form at the end but really nice overall. Blind change to big piked Jaeger. Toe full is a little rushed but gets it to the full-in, great job! 13.650 (6.1, 7.550)

10:13 am. Ferhat Arican TUR PH: I wasn’t typing at the stop of this but saw some scissors and flairs anda Busnari, his work there is pretty great, just leg form when he’s circling otherwise, good job to fix it though. 14.000 (5.6, 8.400)

10:05 am. The medal ceremony is over and athletes are being introduced for pommel horse and uneven bars! If this stream doesn’t stop freezing I’m going to sue the FIG for $6.

6. Djenna Laroui, France, 12.300
7. Marina Escudero, Spain, 11.850
8. Tjasa Kysselef, Slovenia, 11.800

9:49 am. Tjasa Kysselef SLO VT: Yurchenko 1.5, a bit tucked throughout, and her leg separation is pretty significant as well, step back on the landing. 13.100 (4.6, 8.500)

Second vault is a handspring front tuck, legs are wild on the block and she can’t get it around, crashes the landing. 10.500 (3.6, 7.200, -0.3)

9:47 am. Kevin Penev BUL FX: Double-twisting double layout, good enough! Front full to double front, slightly low but just a small hop. I think he had a side pass after that but my feed went out. 2.5 to front layout is very nice. Strong double double to finish! 13.600 (5.4, 8.200)

9:44 am. Bilge Tarhan TUR VT: Yurchenko full, some iffy form throughout in her hips and legs, forward on the landing with a step. 12.650 (4.2, 8.450)

Handspring front pike half, form is again a little all over the place but she gets the landing done. 12.550 (4.0, 8.550)

12.800 average.

9:41 am. Enkhtuvshin Damdindorj MGL FX: Powerful piked double front, hop forward OOB. Unfortunately misses the double double, hands down. Think he did a triple down the side? I missed the entry. The stream went out for a second…it came back for me at the double pike at the end. 11.550 (5.1, 6.750, -0.3)

9:39 am. Greta Mayer HUN VT: Yurchenko half on front layout half off, piked, leg form is pretty good throughout, just ends up a bit low with a step to the side OOB. 12.900 (4.2, 8.800, -0.1)

Second vault is a Tsuk full, basically stuck, just a little wobble as she holds her feet! Pretty powerful. 13.500 (4.4, 9.100)

13.400 average.

9:36 pm. Bohdan Suprun UKR FX: Piked double front, really deep but keeps it upright with a stumble back. Front full to double front is much better. Double full down the side, clean. Little bounce on the randi. Double pike is super clean and landed very well. 12.850 (5.1, 7.750)

9:33 am. Marina Escudero ESP VT: Yurchenko double full, not a ton of height and her form is a bit scrappy throughout, lots of tucking, SO deep on the landing…and yeah, her hand touches the mat. 12.450 (5.0, 7.550, -0.1)

Also sits the handspring front tuck, her second vault. 11.250 (3.6, 7.650)

11.850 average.

9:31 am. Romeo Jost BEL FX: 2.5 to double front, sits it. Clean double layout but comes too low into the landing and is really deep with a lunge. Hit the side pass. Front double full to front layout was solid enough. Sits the arabian double front. 10.750 (5.1, 5.950, -0.3)

9:26 am. Valentina Georgieva BUL VT: Yurchenko 1.5, really deep on the landing with a big lunge forward. I think her goal was to go with the DTY…good points though were that she was super clean and powerful! 13.100 (4.6, 8.600, -0.1)

Sits the tsuk 1.5 for her second vault unfortunately. Had some knee form throughout and just isn’t upright enough on the landing. 12.200 (4.8, 7.500, -0.1)

12.650 average.

9:23 am. Martin Miggitsch AUT FX: Randi at the start down the side with a step out of bounds. Piked double front with a hop forward. Front double full to front layout went well, a little arched in the layout maybe. I didn’t see what his next pass was, looked like twisty combos. Full-out to finish, hop forward. 12.850 (5.0, 7.950, -0.1)

9:21 am. Charlize Mörz AUT VT: Handspring front layout half, decent power, some minor leg and hip form in the air and a hop back. 13.500 (4.6, 8.900)

Second vault is a tsuk full, form also not super tight there but she again gets the landing with a big hop back and her chest down. 13.350 (4.4, 8.950)

13.625 average.

9:18 am. Dmitriy Patanin KAZ FX: Front double full to double front was strong. Double double also good, minor foot movement on the landing. Triple full down the side. 2.5 to front layout, lovely and stuck. Scale is also so nice! No struggle there. Clean double pike, nearly sticks but takes a tiny bounce. 13.900 (5.3, 8.600)

9:16 am. Tijana Korent CRO VT: Handspring front pike half, some minor form in the air, mostly as she gets close to landing, but it’s strong overall. Small foot movement back. 12.800 (4.0, 8.800)

Yurchenko full for the second vault, this one is a bit scrappier throughout in the air but the landing is again pretty solid. 12.900 (4.2, 8.700)

13.050 average.

9:12 pm. Artem Dolgopyat ISR FX: Double-twisting double layout hits well, front full to piked double front, hop forward. Double double down the side is crazy work. 2.5 to double front, sits it. Arabian double front half-out is stuck to finish off. 13.200 (5.6, 7.500, +0.1)

9:09 am. Djenna Laroui FRA VT: Tsuk layout with a solid enough landing, pretty clean in the air. 12.650 (3.8, 8.850)

Second vault is a handspring front layout half, way too low and she crashes pretty hard but seems okay. 11.950 (4.6, 7.350)

12.300 average.

9:07 am. Angel Barajas COL FX: 2.5 to double front, really solid but maybe a little low. Double double half-out, good. Little dive roll to his flairs into a nice split before pressing to a Japanese handstand, unfortunately had a little hesitation. Tiny bobble n the scale. Front full to piked double front, sits it. Ughhh. Double double, deep with a hop back. 12.300 (5.6, 6.900, -0.1)
