Please refresh your browser every few minutes to see the most recent updates, which will appear at the top of the page.

9:38 am. Nazar Chepurnyi UKR VT: Draguelscu, mostly clean in the air compared to most but still some leg separation, big lunge back. 14.300 (5.2, 9.100)

Kas double full next, maybe a little lower than he’s capable of? Minor form in the air. Iffy step back to control it. 14.400 (5.2, 9.200)

14.350 average, oh no, into fourth!

9:35 am. Carlos Yulo PHI VT: Handspring piked double front half, SO clean in the air until the twist, bends his knees and ends up super short, punches forward, hand down. Ugh, he’s had simply the worst meet this year, I’m so sad for him. 13.333 (5.6, 8.033, -0.3 ND)

Second vault is a mostly clean handspring randi with a hop back. 14.433 (5.2, 9.233)

13.883 average, down in sixth sadly.

9:30 am. Artur Davtyan ARM VT: We started out the day actually on time with watching routines but just got behind due to a series of ads, score has been up for two minutes, spoiler alert, he HITS! Just watching now and he sticks the Dragulescu!!! Absolutely fantastic, no notes. 14.800 (5.2, 9.500, +0.1 SB)

Next up is the handspring randi, also perfection, also stuck. Okay world champion! It’s yours. Everyone else go home. Jake Jarman is like YAAAAAS. 14.900 (5.2, 9.600, +0.1 SB)

14.850 average, insane.

9:26 am. Touch warmups for the second half!

9:21 am. Jake Jarman GBR VT: Kas 2.5, simply an insane thing to do, and even more insane that he does it this well. It’s honestly flawless in the air, very little to deduct from. Big lunge forward. 14.900 (5.6, 9.300)

Dragulescu next, super solid, chest slightly forward and tiny bounce back, he’ll medal FOR SURE. 14.400 (5.2, 9.200)

14.650 average into first by about three tenths at the halfway point!

9:18 am. Harry Hepworth GBR VT: Handspring piked double front half, some knee bend especially as he starts to twist, big lunge back. 14.200 (5.2, 9.000) – oh shit they downgraded it to the Dragulescu! 14.200 (5.2, 9.000)

Does the handspring front triple full next, lots of noticeable knee form in the air and a bit low on the landing, takes a massive stumble forward into a lunge. 13.933 (5.6, 8.333)

14.066 average.

9:13 am. Arseniy Dukhno RUS VT: Kas 1.5 to start, gorgeous in the air until the very end when his knees get slightly soft, big lunge back. 14.400 (5.2, 9.200)

Next up is the Yurchenko triple, oooh! Not as clean in the air but it’ll get there I think. Leg form is especially not as tidy but it’s also not gross, has a big lunge back on the landing and then a little slide. 14.300 (5.2, 9.100)

14.350 average, just behind Sponevik.

9:08 am. Sebastian Sponevik NOR VT: Dragulescu, little hop back! REALLY nice lift and flight, and lhis leg form is pretty clean, goes a bit off to the side and maaaaybe is OOB or on the line with one foot? 14.333 (5.2, 9.133)

Second vault is a really strong handspring randi with a hop back. Mostly clean in the air. 14.400 (5.2, 9.200)

14.366 average!

He has Norway’s top two records on vault, with 14th in 2023 and 10th last year, so just being in the final is a major moment for him and his country. Would be WILD if he winds up on the podium. I think if everyone hits, he will not, but will be so close!

9:06 am. Athlete introductions for vault taking place now!

9:00 am. The stream has started! MAG athletes will start the competition on vault and should be introduced shortly.

8:59 am. WOW, IT’S THE LAST DAY OF WORLDS!

I’m watching on Peacock and following live scores on Longines.

We’ll see the men on vault, parallel bars, and high bar today, while the women will compete on beam and floor.
