Everything You Need to Follow the 2026 Youth Olympic Games

Polina Dmitrieva

The gymnastics competition at this year’s Youth Olympic Games begin in Dakar, Senegal this Saturday, November 7, and we’ve got everything you need to follow along, including the complete athlete rosters, full schedule, and links for following along via live scores and streams.

What’s at Stake?

Held every four years, the Youth Olympic Games are a relatively new multi-sport event that brings together young athletes from across the world to gain Olympic-level competitive experience while also focusing on global friendship and connection between athletes as well as personal and athletic development through a Culture and Education Program.

The Games have also experimented with different formats of competition for gymnastics, including a mixed competition across various disciplines in 2018, and this year will include a mixed MAG and WAG team competition as a preview for what we could see at the Olympic Games in 2028. In addition to the mixed team competition, we’ll also see all-around and team finals in Dakar, but there won’t be any apparatus finals this year.

How Can We Follow Along?

The Dakar 2026 website will have live scores linked to each session once the competition begins. I’ve linked to the schedule overview for gymnastics, where you’ll be able to click through each day to see which events are held, which is where the live scores will appear once the sessions are active.

The World Gymnastics microsite will also have a TON of information, including start lists, live scores, and results once these are available, and they’re also providing a live stream! Live streams will also be available on the Olympics website as well as on the Olympics app. I believe all streams should be free to watch, including for qualifications and finals.

We’ll also be live blogging all of the finals if you can’t watch, so keep an eye out for our links each day!

I’ll see what we can do about qualifications, but I have two jam-packed rehearsal days this weekend where we are running all of Oklahoma multiple times (theater kids amirite), so am not sure if 4 am wakeup times will be realistic. I may be able to do the second subdivision for MAG and the second and third for WAG, though! I’ll keep you updated as it gets closer.
