Anybody know what happened with Ellie Black? All of her scores except bars seemed low.

She balked her BHS + tuck full on beam and then went for it again and fell. I also heard she fell on her first vault (handspring front full) and she went oob on floor. Didn’t have the best competition.

She is…she’ll be there on Sunday. She had to fulfill her commitment to her NCAA team last night so she couldn’t do the senior comp but she’ll be there for event finals on Sunday, just competing to get in her elite experience and to get scores, not to contend for event medals (given that she didn’t qualify for them and it wouldn’t be fair).

Looks like a bad meet for everyone, Shallon Olsen and Sydney Townsend must have had good vaults, but that’s about it. Excellent results for Onyshko

I feel bad for Rose Kaying Woo but I don’t think this really hurts her Olympic chances. Although I said the same thing about Kyla after classics last year for worlds so we’ll have to see.

Did Ana Padurariu withdraw from event finals? She clearly had the strongest bars of the all-around final, so why wasn’t she in the bars final at least?
And what kind of bonus was used in the vault D scores? The FIG vault values definitely don’t go to two decimal places.

Yes, she withdrew because she hurt her ankle a little on her fall on floor. She’s fine but they wanted to take her out for preventative measures. She would’ve been in the bars and beam finals. I’m not sure what they did with the vault D-scores but everything with a bonus was 0.05 higher than the regular D score for some reason!
