2014 Medellin World Challenge Cup Complete Coverage Guide

The 2014 FIG World Challenge Cup in Medellin, Colombia will be held from November 7 through November 9.

This is an individual event competition only. Gymnasts will compete in qualifications on Friday November 7, and the top eight on each event will qualify into the finals held Saturday (vault and bars) and Sunday (beam and floor). Yamilet Peña of the Dominican Republic, Ana Filipa Martins of Portugal, veteran Sasa Golob of Slovenia, and four members of Colombia’s 2014 World Championships team (including 2014 South American Games bars champion Bibiana Velez) are expected to compete.

When is the Medellin World Challenge Cup?

 Friday November 7 4 pm Qualifications
 Saturday November 8 3 pm Event Finals (VT/UB)
Sunday November 9 3 pm Event Finals (BB/FX)

All times are local to Medellin, Colombia, which is located in the same time zone as EST in the U.S.

For now, you can follow the action on the event’s official website, as well as on the on the Medellin 2014 Twitter account. Results will also be posted on the event website.

While there will be no streaming available for qualifications, the event finals will be live streamed on Teleantioquia, according to this announcement on Teleantioquia’s website. We will update as soon as we have the exact streaming link.
