  1. Not bad for Wang, Looks like China is gonna finally get some decent vt score. Worlds this year will be very interesting…..

  3. do vault final score and AA final also have bonuses? guess we won’t be able to figure out how much bonus since no breakdown?

    • I’m trying my best to find the detailed scoresheets of the vault final, but I have no luck so far. I’m still missing a few details and I hope I can get those tomorrow. In the vault final, the top 4 all had 0.3 bonus on both vaults. Yang Tianyi had 0.2 bonus on her first vault.
In the AA final, Shang Chunsong had 0.5 bonus, Wang Yan 0.9, Chen Siyi 0.6, Mao Yi 0.4, Liu Tingting 0.4, Luo Huan 0.1, Liu Jinru 0.6 and Lu Yufei 0.4.

      • Wow and we thought the us was generous givin 0.1 for stuck landings…. I think thats like the only bonus us gives? Theres actually aa large demerit for doing fty vt….

Guess they make for some for that with generous 9s for e scores?

Was gonna say some impressive chinese vt scores… oh well at least theyre tryin

  4. seems like this crop of girls can still be ahead of russia and romania even with yao jinnan being out due to injury. here’s my prediction for a line up: shang chunsong, wang yan, mao yi, huang huidan, fan yilin, tan jiaxin and chen siyi as the alternate.

    INDIVIDUAL:
    AA: shang chunsong, wang yan
    VT: wang yan
UB: fan yilin, huang huidan, tan jiaxin, shang chunsong (any of these girls could qualify if they hit their routines and do better than their teammates)
    BB: shang chungsong, wang yan
    FX: wang yan

    TEAM FINALS:
VT: wang yan, tan jiaxin, any one who can hit a strong vault (i heard chunsong was training a DTY at some point so maybe she will unveil that at worlds?)
UB: fan yilin, huang huidan, tan jiaxin/shang chunsong
BB: shang chunsong, wang yan, fan yilin/huang huidan
FX: wang yan, shang chunsong, mao yi/tan jiaxin

i think tan jiaxin will still be on the team despite falling in event finals because china really needs her DTY (and if she can get her amanar back even better!). mao yi and chen siyi might be interchangeable but chen siyi has really struggled in international competition so i don’t know if the coaches can rely on her although her DTY would be appreciated. and mao yi if she can hit her floor routine (which is pang pan pan’s 2006 choreography!) should definitely help china. otherwise, they are still relatively weak on floor and vault and i’m sure if deng yalan wasn’t injured, she would have been greatly appreciated on this team.

      • she’s been quite inconsistent with her beam and can’t really contribute on any other events in my opinion.

      • Yeah was just wondering what’s going on since she got the highest beam score in AA final but is not even listed for beam final…

Does anyone else find the execution on fx scary? Looks like some difficult skills tried but almost like injuries waiting…

  6. she didn’t qualify for beam finals if you look at her qualification score. she also did very poorly at the yoga classic too and only qualified to all around finals because the two per province rule. and the floor execution is quite scary because they are throwing these big skills but usually land with big hops, fall, or low chest positions.

  7. Found an old article about the new bonus system seems like they are still counting the bonuses like this.
    http://beautifulgymnastics.blogspot.de/2013/11/chinas-new-bonus-system-and-superhuman.html?m=1
And looks like it will work out well for the chinese team perhaps not next year but at least with a little bit more time I m sure we ll certainly see great executed huge difficulty on vt and fx.
But also think the execution on fx is scary this bonus system benefits injuries hopefully they will get to the point where they only compete the difficult skills when they re really competition ready. I think this will not happen until there are more chinese gymnasts with high difficulty (and good execution) on fx and until the really muscular body type will be more supported/ accepted in chinese gymnastics.
