7:30 pm. Esposito, ARG, BB: Good flight series, switch to split jump to back tuck, good. Solid switch half to straddle jump. Front aerial, little check, switch side, 1.5 with a little hop. Great work.

7:27 pm. Dominici, ARG, BB: Switch leap mount, little bobble on a switch half after that, good split jump to wolf jump. Good bhs loso, just a little hesitant. Good full turn. Double tuck, step back. SHE HIT SHE HIT SHE HIT.

7:23 pm. Magistrati, ARG, BB: Back tuck mount, great! Just a little bobble. Bhs loso loso is EXCELLENT. Switch to split jump to back tuck, tiniest bobble. Full turn, gets a little shaky but she holds onto it with a little fight. Front aerial, side somi, both good. Big switch side. Double full, little bounce. That was FANTASTIC, she’s fist pumping and celebrating like MAD, LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Miranda, MEX, VT: Tsuk back pike with a step back.

Ryan, NZL, FX: Hit opening pass. Good double tuck after that. Hit routine.

7:20 pm. Andrade, CRC, UB: Blind change to straddle Jaeger, fall. She had the best Jaeger of the bunch in terms of positioning and swing into it but just couldn’t hold on. Back on for bail to toe shoot, layout double full dismount.

Tarabini, ARG, BB: Punch front pike is PERF. Front aerial, HUGE switch side. UGH, off on bhs loso, just a little too far to the side. Switch half, big amplitude, side aerial with a little bobble and step back, switch to split jump to wolf jump, good. Little wobble out of full turn, step back on double pike. Mostly fab!!!

Brett, NZL, FX: Double tuck, good. Hit pass after that, I think a 1.5 into a lil arabesque. Front full. Hit routine.

7:17 pm. Fernandez, ARG, BB: Loso mount, great! Bhs loso, some bent knees but a solid landing. Good jumps. Landed dismount off the mat.

Fishwick, NZL, FX: Landed opening double pike with a fall OOB. Punch front…double full maybe? I couldn’t see. Second pass is into a front full. Double full, chest down but solid landing.

Salas, CRC, UB: Toe full to Chow to Pak, drags her knees on the ground but SHE WENT FOR IT. Toe shoot. Piked Jaeger. Double layout with a step. DAMN SON. She went for that D! Her coach is like YAAAAAAS.

7:12 pm. Montoya, CRC, UB: Piked Jaeger, super close with a fall. Bail, short, toe shoot, giant full, layout with a baby hop.

Matthewson, NZL, FX: Double tuck, wild bounce back. Front lay front tuck, hop forward. Hit the last pass.

Araujo, ARG, BB: Bhs loso, EEK, legs are still a little split when she lands the loso and she practically does it into a split on the beam but instead she falls. Switch to switch half, front aerial, little step, split jump to sissone, side split half, hit the dismount.

Escoe, CRC, UB: Straddle Jaeger SUUUPER far back, fall. Some leg sep on the bail, into a toe shoot, toe on to giant full, layout dismount is solid.

7:07 pm. Miranda, MEX, FX: Balletic music, YAY (like actually balletic, as in it’s actually from a ballet, not just slow and pretty). Double tuck with a lunge back. Oh, yay, and she has some little ballet affectations in her choreo. I LIKE HER. Full Y turn. Double full is solid, legs just open a little early for the landing. Switch ring, front full to stag, lovely!

7:04 pm. Castro, MEX, FX: High, clean double pike, just a step on the landing. Another high double tuck but she leans forward on the landing to try to keep it from overrotating and she ends up still bouncing back but with a lean forward. Just a layout for her third pass, clean and easy. Tour jeté half. Front full to stag, a little low on the jump.

7:03 pm. Esposito, ARG, UB: Tkachev, bends her knees in the straddle, Pak, nice, short handstand before toe shoot, nice handstand before giant full, blind change to front giant half, double tuck low with a lunge forward. Mostly solid aside from some form issues.

7:01 pm. Briceno, MEX, FX: Double arabian, step, a little cowboyed in the air. Bounced back out of the double tuck. Lots of power in her leaps. NICE 2.5 to punch front! That was lovely in the air! Hit the last pass as well. Fab work from this kid!

Dominici, ARG, UB: Toe full to Maloney to Pak, nice, clean handstand before clean van Leeuwen, beautiful handstand out of it, blind change to Jaeger, and then the cool back tuck dismount straight out of a handstand. HIT!

6:59 pm. Brett, NZL, BB: Loso mount, fall. Switch to short switch half to split jump. Hit the flight series. Clean full turn. Double full with a bounce back.

Magistrati, ARG, UB: Tkachev, bail, toe on to toe shoot, blind change to front giant half, double layout with a step. Great work.

6:56 pm. Ryan, NZL, BB: Bhs bck tuck, bent knees in the bhs, fall at the tail end of this series. Side somi, bobble, good side split half. Double wolf turn, a little shaky, and a little high when she finishes it. Hit the dismount.

Tarabini, ARG, UB: Tkachev, looked like she was going for a pike but her leg form got a tad weird, bail to toe shoot, double front with a step, looks pleased with that!

Moreno, MEX, FX: Double pike with a bounce back. Double tuck, low chest and a step. Front full, little scoot forward. Some lovely choreo moments in there.

6:52 pm. Araujo, ARG, UB: Toe half to straddle Jaeger, nice, great handstand before Pak, Maloney to bail to toe shoot, wow!! She’s great. Giant full pretty much right on the bar, double tuck dismount with a step. Fab work!

Fishwick, NZL, BB: Bhs loso, steady and solid. Switch to a jump, good. Clean side aerial, full Y turn, a little shy on the side split half. Solid back tuck. Gainer pike off the end.

Campos, MEX, FX: Bounce back on the double pike. Excellent extension on her leaps. Pass after that was a little messy, and a bounce forward on the front full.

Fernandez, ARG, UB: Piked front giant to Jaeger, good catch on the release, Pak, toe full, a little rushed, toe shoot, hit the dismount. Another solid set!

6:51 pm. Vargas, MEX FX: Double pike, a little low, but a good 2.5 after that. Very clean double full, solid landing.

Matthewson, NZL, BB: I missed most of this but she came off on her side aerial. Side split half was a little short. Step sideways on her 1.5 dismount.

6:46 pm. Break between rotations!

Thought I’d take this time to let you know that in the first subdivision, Simona Castro of Chile led with a 44.000, followed by teammate Martina Castro with 43.100 and then Marcia Vidiaux of Cuba with a 43.050. Looks like Marcia really struggled on bars and beam, but had solid work on vault and floor. Yesenia Ferrera was expected to compete here but didn’t.

6:44 pm. Miranda, MEX, BB: Straddle press mount down into a pike hold, nice control! Bhs loso with a little check at the hips. Little tentative on her leap after that, side aerial with a little wobble, solid jump series, switch leap, layout dismount with a great landing. Very slow and steady beam worker.

6:40 pm. Castro, MEX, BB: Hit her mount. The camera person fully wasn’t paying attention and didn’t follow her from her run to the beam so that was nice. YOU HAVE ONE JOB. Good jump series. Back tuck. Switch half. Side aerial to bhs, gets a little wild and off-center in the bhs, fall. Side somi. Dismounts with a layout, hop back.

Alvarado, CRC, FX: Double pike, good, lunge back. Hit her second pass. Front full basically stuck for a second before jumping up into the stag jump. Nice work!

6:37 pm. Campos, MEX, BB: Switch leap, good. Front aerial, switch leap, tried to connect but missed it. Bhs loso, step back. Double spin, ugh, looked like she had it but she fell. Good side somi. Side aerial to split jump. Hit the dismount. Very promising routine!

Montoya, CRC, FX: Double pike, just a tad shy on the rotation. 2.5, little bounce forward. Front full with a little hop.

6:34 pm. Salas, CRC, FX: Double tuck, basically a stuck landing, looked really solid. Good leap series. Low double pike but stands it up no prob. Solid front full.

Moreno, MEX, BB: Loso mount, nice! Wobble out of bhs loso. Hit everything from there, I caught up again at the ring leap, split jump to wolf jump, both decent. Double full with a step back. Good work!

Fishwick, NZL, UB: Maloney to bail to toe on to clear hip (arched) to toe shoot, caught high and close. Blind change to straddle Jaeger, a little close, but not bad. Giant full to layout stuck. Nicest set from NZ!

6:31 pm. Andrade, CRC, FX: Double pike just out of a roundoff, overrotated to her butt. Gets the 1.5 to front tuck around. Ring leap series with a slightly low back leg. Messy double full.

Ryan, NZL, UB: Maloney to bail to toe on to toe shoot, little dead hangy at the end of that, giant full to double tuck, little step.

Briceno, MEX, BB: Side somi, fall. Little bobble on bhs loso. Switch leap, nice. Clean back tuck. Wolf jump to split jump, toes are like HAAAAIIII. Hit the rest and the dismount.

Matthewson, NZL, UB: Jaeger, good! Giant full, blind change to front layout dismount, I don’t think I saw her do any transitioning between the bars unless I’m blind?

6:28 pm. Escoe, CRC, FX: Double tuck, little step. Switch ring, nice, to ring leap, just a flexed foot but her positions don’t look bad! 1.5, good landing. Hit routine!

Vargas, MEX, BB: Switch leap mount, fall. Bhs loso is solid. Front aerial to split jump to back tuck, good connections! Get it. Bhs bhs layout full, solid! Shame about the mount fall, she’s quite good.

Brett, NZL, UB: Pak, toe shoot, double tuck. Simple, nothing majorly weird with it.

6:19 pm. Miranda, MEX, UB: Pak, stalder to toe shoot, nice toe point! Tkachev is good. Blind change to Endo half, muscled but good save. Giant full, double tuck with a lunge forward. Mostly solid!

Andrade, CRC, BB: Back handspring mount. Ring leap, form not really there. Bhs bhs loso, a little wild but gets it around no problem! Front aerial, bobble, side aerial, bigger wobble. Switch leap, puts her hands down, misses connection to sissone to wolf jump. Dismount is either a front full or a 1.5, I missed the entry, but she leaned it backwards and put her hands down, though I don’t think she sat it but still. Basically a fall.

Araujo, ARG, FX: Hit opening pass. Full-in maybe? Or double tuck? I only saw the end. Follows it up with a step forward on her 2.5. Front through to double full, step to the side.

6:17 pm. Dominici, ARG, FX: Oh PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE crush this!!!! I need her to be killer today. Full-in with a bounce back, solid. Switch ring to tour jeté half. Arabian double front, tiny bounce forward. Double tuck, bounce back. So far so good!! Basically does a full-twisting Korbut as part of her choreo, LOVE LOVE LOVE. Double full with a lunge back. GREAT.

6:16 pm. Escoe, CRC, BB: Switch leap, split jump to sissone, standing back, all really nice! Bhs loso, big wobble that she tries to fight but unfortunately she falls. Shame, she has extension GOING ON here. Side split half, a little shy. Wobbled out of front aerial, hit the rest, including a 1.5 dismount.

Vargas, MEX, UB: Hop change to piked Jaeger, good! Short handstand before bail to toe full, looked like she stalled or dragged her feet on the ground before the toe shoot, good double pike dismount.

6:13 pm. Alvarado, CRC, BB: Switch ring, weak leg positioning, bhs loso is a little short but solid. Front aerial, split jump to sissone, side aerial, side split half, I’m loving the difficulty from Costa Rica on beam! Switch to ring leap, slow and again with the shape not quite there. Front lay full dismount with a hop.

Castro, MEX, UB: Van Leeuwen, slight leg form issues, piked Jaeger caught SO close and AHHHHH ankles caught on the bar, but it doesn’t break her swing, BLESS. Tkachev, a little messy, hit the rest, double tuck dismount.

Magistrati, ARG, FX: 2.5 to punch front, way low out of the 2.5 and ended up sitting the latter. Good whip to double tuck, and then she does a really pretty tour jeté right down into her low choreo, which was a really nice touch. Strong double pike. Double full to Shushunova, great! Shame about the opening pass.

6:12 pm. Fernandez, ARG, FX: Double pike to start. Double full, some leg form. Front handspring front full, solid set.

6:09 pm. Montoya, CRC, BB: Bhs loso loso, soft knees throughout and a wobble at the end, but solid. Switch ring, back leg isn’t great but she hit it no prob. Overrotates full L turn a bit. Front aerial. Little check on side aerial. Hop forward on the dismount, a 1.5 I think.

Campos, MEX, UB: Stalder full. Maloney to Hindorff, caught with messy legs and had to kip cast out of it to re-start her swing. Pak, van Leeuwen, crunched her knees and missed the catch, fall. Ambitious routine for her though! Off again on a handstand issue on the high bar. Jaeger caught super close. Short handstand out of it, then dismounts with a high double tuck with a step back.

6:07 pm. I’m ignoring vault for now, just FYI. I think I can only have three streams up. Same deal as ESPN with NCAAs last weekend. LET US DO FOUR PLZ.

Tarabini, ARG, FX: Eeee I’ve missed her so much! Switch full into the corner before her first pass, a punch double front!! Baby step OOB but yay! That was great. Arabian double front! Great. Hit the third pass, I missed it. Double tuck to finish with a bounce.

Moreno, MEX, UB: van Leeuwen, legs could use some work but okay. Caught her release no prob. Giant full, suuuuuper high double tuck.

6:04 pm. Salas, CRC, BB: Switch half, wobble. Really solid standing loso to back pike! Overrotates full L turn slightly. Fall on her tour jeté unfortunately. Hit her jump series after that. Dismount was a 1.5 I think, big step to the side.

Esposito, ARG, FX: Tiny bounce on her double pike. Clean double tuck. Hit the last pass, a front through to some sort of twisting skill. Good start for Argentina!

Briceno, MEX, UB: Gienger, some leg sep. Bail, toe shoot, lost her swing on the high bar and had to hop off. Back on for messy stalder to stalder half, almost lost it again but gets back into the swing of things for her double tuck dismount.
