How does this work? Obviously they choose events, but what are the rules? I’m guessing you can’t repeat events from semifinal to final?

You can’t repeat events in the semifinal, but if you qualify to the final, you CAN repeat an event you did earlier. It follows the same format as the Swiss Cup and the Sokol Grand Prix. Everyone in the competition starts out competing two events, then the top five from prelims compete in semifinals, and then the top three from semis compete in finals.
