11:58 am. Claire Pease UB: Inbar full was great, to Komova II to Pak, superrrrr clean! Great handstand before the van Leeuwen, some body line form, falls out of handstand on the inbar…half I think it was supposed to be? Ends up hopping off when she can’t bring it back. Back on for the double front half, some leg form and a step. 12.100

11:57 am. Lacie Saltzmann BB: Double wolf turn, good. Standing back tuck. Front handspring to front tuck, great. Front aerial to split jump. Cross straight jump full. Clean side aerial. Double tuck, a little deep, step back. 13.350

Addy Fulcher UB: I think she hit but I missed this one! 12.450

11:52 am. Sage Bradford UB: Blind change to big straddle Jaeger, was a little lost in the air and her fall was low key terrifying, basically to her head. Back on for a Tkachev, has to take an extra swing after, Pak, toe full, van Leeuwen, some ankle form there, clear hip, clean double tuck with a hop. 10.350

Tyler Turner VT: Yurchenko full with a hop back. 12.950

11:50 am. Audrey Snyder FX: Dobule pike, a little slow, step back. 1.5 to front full, slight form. Good double tuck to finish. 12.250

Nicole Desmond BB: Switch leap to wolf jump. Solid on the flight series. Front aerial to split jump to Korbut, good. 12.450

Maliha Tressel VT: Yurchenko full, again not super powerful like a few we’ve seen but solid enough. 13.000

Ella Kate Parker VT: Yurchenko full, not nearly as tight as the others in this rotation (this was a GREAT FTY rotation!) and she has a big hop back. 12.550

11:49 am. Isabella Anzola VT: Solid Yurchenko full, not a ton of power but lovely overall. 13.000

Reese Esponda UB: Toe full, nice handstand, to Maloney to Pak, nice. Van Leeuwen, clear hip, toe half to straddle Jaeger, blind change, holds in handstand for a second, full-in with a solid landing! 13.000

11:46 am. Gabrielle Hardie VT: Yurchenko full, some pike down but overall nice, and had a solid landing. 13.100

Izzy Stassi UB: Straddle Jaeger, strong on the Maloney to Pak. Really nice double layout! 13.050

Ally Damelio FX: Hit the first pass. 1.5 to front full into a controlled arabesque. Clean double tuck at the end, chest a bit forward but this was a lovely routine. 12.400

11:36 am. Simone Rose BB: Switch leap mount.Switch leap was WAY short and she stumbled on it, missed the connection to her jumps, which weren’t near 180. Got the wolf turn. Solid on the bhs bhs loso. Side aerial with a little step. 2.5 with a step for the dismount. 13.050

Maliha Tressel FX: Full-in, little hop. Hit the second pass, did she do a 2.5 into something? I’ll have to go back and watch that, I wasn’t paying enough attention. Switch ring to switch half. Front tuck through to double full to finish. 12.400

11:35 am. Lacie Saltzmann UB: Stalder full, a little late but not too bad, Maloney to gaint to toe-on to bail to Ray, nice toe half to straddle Jaeger, she looks good here! Toe half, almost right in handstand, double layout, clean with a hop. That was nice! 12.700

11:30 am. Lavi Crain UB: Inbar to Pak, lovely! Toe full was late and she did another half turn, accidental toe 1.5!!!! LOVE THAT FOR HER. Hit the rest, I wasn’t typing because I was dying. 11.250

Charleigh Bullock BB: I missed this aside from the dismount, double full with a hop back. 12.100

Isabella Anzola FX: Tucked full-in, some leg separation but good on the landing. Double tuck with a hop back. 2.5 to punch front. Good control on the double wolf. Double pike to finish, clean! 12.050

11:28 am. Kieryn Finnell FX: Piked full-in, lovely. Step back. Clean double tuck with a step. Hop L turn to pirouette to switch side half I think? Or switch full, I couldn’t see. 1.5 to front full, really low and long on the latter but gets it around. Great double pike to finish. 12.400

Audrey Snyder BB: Good landing on the flight series. I saw her do a GORGEOUS sissone. Hit the dismount. 12.850

Nicole Desmond UB: Doesn’t connect out of the Maloney, does a Tkachev after, toe full was a little crooked, Pak was really low with straddled legs. Blind change to front giant half, had to muscle it around. Double tuck with a step back. 11.100

11:26 am. Zoey Molomo UB: Toe full to Maloney to Pak, nice. Good van Leeuwen. Blind change to straddle Jaeger, hop change, front layout dismount. Good routine! 12.100

Addy Fulcher VT: Yurchenko full, mostly clean, not super powerful, hop back on the landing. 12.900

11:25 am. Reese Esponda VT: Yurchenko full, clean in the air, step back. 13.100

Gabrielle Hardie FX: 2.5 to punch front pike, nice. 1.5 to front full was lovely. Tiny bounce back on the double tuck. 13.050

Sage Bradford VT: Yurchenko full, another one that looked really clean and solid. 13.050

11:23 am. Ly Bui UB: Stalder half to straddle Jaeger, some feet, but nice extension aside from that. Pak, van Leeuwen, turned a little late, lovely stalder full, just a little late on the finish, full-in, stuck with feet apart. 12.950

11:20 am. Hezly Rivera VT: Yurchenko double, pretty solid! Some form in the air and a step back but better than what I expected after seeing her floor. 13.750

Tatum Drusch UB: Toe full, a little muscled, to Maloney to Pak, nice. Had a nice piked Jaeger. Good on the dismount. 12.650

Camie Westerman BB: Think I saw her fall but didn’t see most of this. 10.050

Tyler Turner FX: MASSIVE full-in but almost flew completely off the floor, I think it was too much air like Trinity Thomas with her wild split jump or whatever it was that sent her flying. Anyway, that was a fall. Clean double tuck at the end, but a little forward on the landing. 11.550

Izzy Stassi VT: Yurchenko 1.5, nice in the air, hop forward. 13.600

11:12 am. Maliha Tressel BB: Wasn’t typing for this one but she had a solid bhs loso series, came off on something in the middle of her routine. Otherwise worked slowly and steadily with nice skills, love her pike in her jump series. Hit the dismount. 11.050

11:08 am. Sage Bradford FX: L turn to full turn series to start. Whip whip through to double tuck, clean but a bounce back. Switch to switch half. Solid double pike. 12.900

Isabella Anzola BB: Side aerial layout stepout, fall. Front aerial with some arm swings. Switch leap, slow to the switch half, which is a bit short. Straddle jump to sissone was nice. Double pike with a big step back. 10.950

11:04 am. Reese Esponda FX: Double double, awesome landing. Super floaty double layout. Beautiful double pike! Hop back. Split jump full before her last pass, a front tuck through to double tuck, a little shorter than she was on the rest but SHE! IS! AWESOME!!! 13.050

Kieryn Finnell BB: Lovelys witch leap mount, almost right into the full turn. Nailed the flight series. Beautiful switch to switch half. Front aerial to split jump to Korbut. She is stunning. Someone said she fell on her switch side but I didn’t see it. Double pike, deep with a step back. 13.100

Charleigh Bullock UB: Nice straddle Jaeger. Hit the rest, great set! 12.900

11:01 am. Izzy Stassi FX: Full-in to start, some form. Hit the second pass. Hop on the double pike at the end. 12.450

Gabrielle Hardie BB: Really solid on the flight series and then on a mixed series after. Her connections were SO nice and quick and fluid. Double full dismount. 12.550

Audrey Snyder UB: Big Tkachev, Pak with some leg separation. Came off right after though, I missed what happened? Double tuck dismount with a small step. 11.150

Lavi Crain VT: Yurchenko full, really clean and so solid, stuck it looked like! Just not a ton of power. 13.400

11:00 am. Nicole Desmond VT: Yurchenko 1.5, some knee form, but a strong landing. 13.400

10:58 am. Ally Damelio UB: I couldn’t type for this but I love this routine so much!!! She is the future of bars. 13.350

Ly Bui T: BEAUTIFUL Yurchenko full! 13.350

10:56 am. Tatum Drusch VT: Really clean and strong Yurchenko full, just a big step back. 13.250

Also did a Yurchenko 1.5, not as clean but solid enough on the landing. 13.550

Camie Westerman UB: Toe full, nice handstand finish, to Maloney to bail, a little short and muscled, to toe shoot. Big straddle Tkachev. Blind change to front toe half, nice! Double pike was clean in the air but rotated slowly, deep landing. 11.800

Tyler Turner BB: Side aerial had a slight check. I missed the rest.

Hezly Rivera FX: Double layout, nice in the air, big hop back OOB. Full-in for the second pass was good. Front tuck through to double tuck, clean, but wild on the landing, bounced off of both legs and went OOB. Split ring leap was nice. 2.5, basically sat it, or was like, a centimeter from sitting it, it was very close. The way she bounced up out of it was WILD. 12.050

10:54 am. Lacie Saltzmann VT: I missed this, think she did a tsuk back something or other? 12.000

Also did a handspring front tuck, which was solid. 12.300

Simone Rose UB: Maloney to Hindorff, NOOOOO, a fall. Stalder half to Ezhova, some leg form, toe-on to van Leeuwen, agains ome legs, just separations on both, full pirouette, and a clean double layout. 11.950

Ella Kate Parker BB: Caught it from the jump series, nice sissone. Okay, I missed basically all of this, just saw she hit the dismount. 11.250

Addy Fulcher FX: Finished with a 2.5, nice routine overall. 12.500

10:52 am. Start lists for the second rotation!

Screen Shot 2023-08-27 at 10.52.20 AM

10:49 am. Rotation 5 Standings

1. Hezly Rivera 66.400
2. Simone Rose 66.200
3. Kieryn Finnell 65.850
4. Gabrielle Hardie 64.650
5. Izzy Stassi 64.450
6. Reese Esponda 63.550
7. Audrey Snyder 63.200
8. Ly Bui 63.050

10:46 am. Reese Esponda BB: has a bit of a weak ending to the wolf turn but brings it back under control. NAILS the standing full. Side aerial loso, way off and has a massive wobble but fights for an hour and saves it! Double tuck is excellent. 12.850

10:44 am. Isabella Anzola UB: Stalder half to straddle Jaeger, nice. Stalder to Pak, some foot form. Stalder full was REALLY late and legs came apart, hit her feet on the mat but was great in how well she fought through it, especially given her age! Toe-on to toe shoot, and a double layout with a step back. Her potential is WILD. 11.150

10:43 am. Izzy Stassi BB: Caught it from the full turn. Everything else before that was hit, though. Front aerial, chest came up late and she had a little stumble. double full, not bad! Hop back. 12.500

10:41 am. Ly Bui FX: Double L turn to full turn. Clean double tuck, big bounce back. Switch full. Nice double wolf turn. 1.5 to front layout, a bit whippy/arched. Switch ring to tour jeté half. 2.5 with a little stumble at the end.  12.250

Kieryn Finnell UB: Toe full, some hip and ankle form, to Maloney to Pak to van Leeuwen, some leg form on the latter but nice! Blind change to straddle Jaeger. Stalder, full-in, tiny bounce. She’s so good. 13.350

10:38 am. Tatum Drusch FX: Nice double pike to start. Front double full, some leg form and slightly deep on the landing. Hit the third pass. Switch to switch full. 2.5 with some leg form. Solid routine! 12.300

Hezly Rivera BB: Double wolf turn, nice. Solid on the bhs loso. Hit her leap series. Front aerial to split jump to straddle jump. Switch ring, back leg could maybe be stronger but it’s hard for me to see. Deep and low on the double pike but just takes a few steps back. 13.650

Gabrielle Hardie UB: Hit the low bar circles/pirouettes at the beginning, Maloney to Pak, toe-on to van Leeuwen, leg form and late in the turn, stalder half was lovely, to straddle Jaeger, nice height. Super clean double layout, good landing! 13.050

10:37 am. Tyler Turner UB: Weiler half to Maloney to stalder to Ricna, nice! Little form things but looks good overall. HUGE Pak but catches too low and bends/drags her knees. Van Leeuwen, full pirouette, and a double layout with a hop. 12.900

Audrey Snyder VT: Clean and powerful Yurchenko full, step back. 13.000

10:33 am. Ella Kate Parker UB: Ricna to Pak, a bit low on the latter but gets it around. Stalder full was a bit late, toe shoot, nice handstand before the blind change to front giant half, some leg and hip form there, double layout, stuck! 12.100

Camie Westerman VT: Solid Yurchenko full, maybe just lacking power. 13.000

Addy Fulcher BB: Nice switch mount. Off on her bhs loso series. 11.650

Lacie Saltzmann FX: I again missed the beginning. Front tuck through to 1.5 I think with a stumble forward. 12.350

Ally Damelio VT: I missed this. 12.900

10:31 am. Charleigh Bullock VT: Clean Yurchenko full, step to the side. 12.950

Maliha Tressel UB: Caught the release at the beginning but circled around the low bar on her Pak, kinda looked like she did a Pak to clear hip which would be fun and cool. Hit the rest. 12.050

Sage Bradford BB: Back handspring mount was nice. Hit the flight series. Big break on the front aerial but got it under control. Hit the jump series. Clean switch leap. Think she had a 1.5 dismount with a hop. 10.550

Lavi Crain FX: I missed the first half. Good 1.5 to front layout. 12.250

Simone Rose VT: Beautiful Yurchenko full! So much power, clean in the air, great landing. 13.150

Doing a second vault, a Yurchenko 1.5. It looked a little sketchy in warmups earlier but we’ll see how it goes! Some knee form, a tiny bit short, bit of a stumble back, but got it!

10:30 am. Start lists for the first rotation today.

Screen Shot 2023-08-27 at 10.29.58 AM

        • No problem! I always try to talk about every athlete, whether they are the winner or finish last, and I think I saw at least a little bit of almost every single routine from this session. Sometimes it’s hard watching four routines at a time so I miss some skills but I was definitely paying close attention to Izzy and absolutely love the maturity she has as a junior gymnast, it’s like watching a senior elite/NCAA athlete.
