3. Lorenzo Casali 163.350
4. Lorenzo Bonicelli 162.650
5. Matteo Levantesi 162.250
6. Edoardo de Rosa 161.600
7. Lorenzo Galli 159.500

And the unofficial winner is Manrique Larduet with a 166.950! Amazing day for him today, upping his AA score to a massive 84.050!

2:31 pm. Yumin Abbadini HB: Great on the Cassina and Kolman! Stalder Tkachev, blind change to front giant to Tak full, a bit late there with some hip form, hop full, inbar stalder to stalder, double double layout, nice in the air, hop back.

2:29 pm. Edoardo de Rosa PH: Moving mostly well throughout this so far, gets a little floppy in his legs at times when circling, but form overall looks REALLY strong, especially in his Russian-style elements, has to really muscle into the dismount. But a big hit! 14.650 (6.4, 8.250)

Niccolo Vannucchi PH: 11.250 (4.3, 6.950)

2:26 pm. Mario Macchati HB: Yamawaki, Tak half was a bit late, inbar, one-arm giant, blind change to front giant to Tak, could finish better in handstand, Zou Li Min, stalder, full-twisting double layout, hop back. 13.250 (4.9, 8.350)

2:25 pm. Lorenzo Galli FX: Front double full went a little wonky in the air but still punches out to a barani. Arabian double front half landing was good. 2.5 to front tuck full after that IIRC? Triple full, chest a bit down on the landing, but strong routine. 13.200 (4.8, 8.500, -0.1 ND)

2:23 pm. Lorenzo Casali HB: Yamawaki, a little close, to Endo, Zou Li Min, Tak full doesn’t make it to handstand and goes the wrong way after finishing, turns himself around, Tak half, layout Tkachev, some hip form, straddle Tkachev, stalder, one-arm giant, and a full-twisting double layout with a step. 12.650 (4.9, 7.750)

Nicola Bartolini HB: 13.350 (4.8, 8.550)

2:21 pm. Manrique Larduet FX: Piked double front, hop forward, slight leg form in the air. Front double full to front layout, beautiful and stuck. AMAZING kick-out on the arabian double front half-out. He’s so ready for that landing. Super high 2.5 to front full. 1.5 to front full. Arabian double front, big hop forward, and then a bow and fist pump for the super supporting Italian crowd. 14.100 (5.6, 8.500)

Marco Sarrugerio SR: 13.800 (5.9, 7.900)

2:20 pm. Tommaso Brugnami VT: BEAUTIFUL kaz full! Just lovely in the air, and he stuck it. Amazing. 14.100 (4.8, 9.300)

Showed just a nice clean kaz for his second run. 13.200 (4.0, 9.200)

2:19 pm. Matteo Levantesi HB: Layout Tkachev, huge straddle to piked Tkachev, had some leg form on the straddle, though, Tak, big Yamawaki, stalder, hop full, and a double double layout with a couple of steps back, as well as some form in the air. 13.700 (5.4, 8.300)

2:16 pm. Rotation 11 Standings

1. Manrique Larduet 152.850
2. Mario Macchiati 151.100
3. Lorenzo Casali 150.700
4. Lorenzo Bonicelli 150.100
5. Yumin Abbadini 149.750
6. Matteo Levantesi 148.550
7. Edoardo de Rosa 146.950
8. Lorenzo Galli 146.300

2:13 pm. Edoardo de Rosa FX: Got a replay of this! I didn’t see his first couple of passes, caught up at the double full, solid randi, and clean 2.5, tiny hop. 13.600 (5.4, 8.200)

2:12 pm. Mario Macchiati PB: One-arm pirouette was great, half turn transition on the single to both rails was mostly good, just a slight adjustment, Diamidov was SO nice, and he stuck the double front dismount! Oooh, pretty. 14.550 (5.5, 9.050)!!!

2:08 pm. Lorenzo Casali PB: Walked a little out of the Diamidov, front pike to handstand was lovely, perfect kip cast to handstand after that, half turn was a little rushed, Tippelt clean after that, giant swing before the Bhavsar, great. Just a small step on the double front half. Very good routine. 14.200 (5.8, 8.400)

Nicola Bartolini PB: They didn’t show this but his E score! 14.050 (5.1, 8.950)

Ares Federici PH: 10.450 (4.2, 6.250)

2:05 pm. Niccolo Vannucchi FX: Front full to double front, pushes forward on the landing and has a big hop. Double layout full-out, short with a step forward. Next pass was I think a 1.5 to front full IIRC but he had a big hop there as well. Double double set was really low and so was his landing, but he got it around. One of his better landings tbh. Front layout to barani. His knee is heavily wrapped so I assume he’s just not 100% on this apparatus. Triple full, small step and he looks like he’s grabbing his low back. 11.950 (5.4, 6.850, -0.3 ND)

Marco Sarrugerio PH: 11.900 (4.9, 7.000)

2:04 pm. Manrique Larduet HB: Layout Tkachev, straddle to piked Tkachevs, Rybalko, good form throughout, Tak full had some leg form, Zou Li Min, hop full, MASSIVE double double layout dismount, lost some form in the air but wow, that was SO high. 14.000 (5.7, 8.300)

Nicolo Mozzato PH: Got to see a replay of this eventually, got his legs caught while circling backwards and had to come off. Otherwise some good stuff in here. 13.000 (6.0, 7.000)

Lorenzo Bonicelli FX: Also got a replay of this, had a double double, hop on the double full down the side, hop forward on the 2.5 at the end. 13.300 (5.5, 7.800)

2:03 pm. Matteo Levantesi PB: Such a powerful and pretty swing. First few swing elements are nice, Bhavsar, GORGEOUS Diamidov and front half pirouette, double pike with a couple of steps back, this was great. 14.550 (5.8, 8.750)

2:01 pm. Salvatore Maresca SR: Maltese shape was great, inverted hang to inverted cross, maybe a little short in the handstand, saltos to maltese to iron cross, inverted hang with a swing up and out to maltese, inverted hang, front giant to handstand, swinging a bit, back giant to handstand, slight shoulder adjustment, full-twisting double layout with a step. 14.650 (6.2, 8.450)

2:00 pm. Yumin Abbadini PB: Wasn’t typing but he had a lovely Diamidov 1/4 which is my favorite thing for some reason, had a few tiny things on some pirouettes and a big leap forward on the double pike dismount, but nice interior of the routine. 14.000 (5.5, 8.500)

1:58 pm. Lorenzo Galli HB: Some leg form on an early half pirouette, Kolman legs were wild but he caught, straddle to piked Tkachevs, just his feet were an issue for me, layout Tkachev, hop full, stalder, blind change to Tak, turns around for giants into the full-twisting double layout dismount, small hop. 13.450 (5.4, 8.050)

1:57 pm. Tommaso de Vecchis PH: Had a fall early in the routine but did some good work after remounting. Some form throughout but pretty fluid. 11.850 (4.7, 7.150)

1:55 pm. Rotation 10 Standings

1. Manrique Larduet 138.850
2. Lorenzo Bonicelli 136.800
3. Mario Macchiati 136.550
4. Lorenzo Casali 136.500
5. Yumin Abbadini 135.750
6. Matteo Levantesi 134.000
7. Edoardo de Rosa 133.250
8. Lorenzo Galli 132.850

1:52 pm. Manrique Larduet PB: Saw most of this in a replay I think…didn’t have time to prep myself to type but it was a great routine, solid double front half dismount! 14.800 (6.1, 8.700)

Fabrizio Valle PB: 13.750 (5.3, 8.450)

1:50 pm. Niccolo Vannucchi HB: Tak half, a bit late, layout Tkachev, he needs to point his feet on everything, straddle to piked Tkachevs were nice, doesn’t get the inbar to handstand and has to take an extra swing, stalder, double double layout with a big lunge on the landing. 12.650 (4.7, 7.950)

1:46 pm. Lorenzo Bonicelli HB: Endo, Tak half, a little crooked but corrects well, Liukin, some form in the air, right into an Endo half, inbar stalder, layout Tkachev to straddle Tkachev, Zou Li Min, Tak, full-twisting double layout, clean with a step back. 13.800 (5.6, 8.200)

1:45 pm. Roberto Marzocchi HB: Wasn’t typing during this but it was a great set, double layout full-out dismount was so floaty. 13.100 (4.8, 8.300)

Marco Lodadio VT: Handspring double front, FLIES forward out of it and takes a billion steps. 13.400 (5.2, 8.300, -0.1 ND)

Filippo Castellaro FX: Ooh, the score! 14.200 (5.8, 8.400)

Carlo Macchini PH: 13.450 (5.3, 8.150)

1:43 pm. Lorenzo Galli PB: Front pike to handstand, the next kip to handstand was really short, pike sit pressed to handstand, muscled and walked his hands back, Diamidov, double pike with a great landing. 12.800 (4.7, 8.100)

Lorenzo Casali VT: Kaz double full, steps on the landing, but pretty good overall. 14.600 (5.6, 9.000)

Andrea Russo PB: 13.900 (5.5, 8.400)

1:42 pm. Nicola Bartolini VT: Massive height on the Kaz 1.5, landing isn’t the best, but he’s also on a big mat, so I’m sure that would’ve been fabulous on the comp surface. 14.600 (5.2, 9.400)

1:41 pm. Matteo Levantesi VT: Handspring double front, REALLY deep on the landing, but does a good job to not sit it. 14.000 (5.2, 8.800)

Tommaso Brugnami PH: 11.150 (4.1, 7.050)

Ivan Brunello HB: 13.800 (5.4, 8.400)

1:39 pm. Yumin Abbadini VT: Kaz full, pretty good in the air, step back. 13.900 (4.8, 9.100)

Mario Macchiati VT: Kaz 1.5, huge, great in the air, but a massive hop forward on the landing. 14.500 (5.2, 9.300)

1:37 pm. Ares Federici FX: Front full to randi, nice. Double double, tiny hop. 1.5 to front double full, fantastic landing. 2.5 to front layout, lovely, just a tiny hop. Superb height on the triple full, decent in the air, tiny step back. 13.450 (5.5, 7.950)

1:35 pm. On the stream the commentators said that Larduet is NOT eligible for the title because despite training in the country, he is not a citizen. But going to keep him in the standings, and will asterisk him in the final standings.

1:34 pm. Rotation 9 Standings

1. Manrique Larduet 124.050
2. Lorenzo Bonicelli 123.000
3. Mario Macchiati 122.050
4. Lorenzo Casali 121.900
5. Yumin Abbadini 121.850
6. Edoardo de Rosa 120.550
7. Lorenzo Galli 120.050
8. Matteo Levantesi 120.000

1:32 pm. Ares Federici HB: Kolman, Kovacs, straddle Tkachev, Rybalko was a mess, lost his leg form and took him a few extra giants to straighten out, and then the full-twisting double layout had a lot of tuck in it as well. 11.650 (4.9, 6.750)

1:31 pm. Lorenzo Bonicelli PB: Front pike to handstand, nice, one-arm pirouette out, kip to handstand, a little short, Tippelt was lovely, very fluid, front half pirouette, little adjustment, Diamidov, and a clean double pike dismount, lovely work. 14.300 (5.3, 9.000)

1:30 pm. Gionatan Stradi FX: They didn’t show this but worth sharing the score! 14.000 (5.4, 8.600)

1:28 pm. Roberto Marzocchi PB: Had to muscle on the Tippelt, one-arm swing out with some leg separation, little things on a couple of pirouettes after, double pike, chest down and a step. 12.550 (5.0, 7.550)

1:25 pm. Lorenzo Casali SR: High planche, down to inverted hang and then back up to pike sit, swings through to saltos to finish in straddle sit, presses to handstand, got a bit shaky and arched in the back giant to handstront giant to handstand also has a lot of muscling, double double with a step. 13.550 (5.2, 8.350)

1:23 pm. Paolo Principi HB: Walstrom, Tak full, a little late with some form, Tak half, Yamawaki, stalder, full-twisting double layout, a bit piked throughout, hop on the landing. 13.000 (5.0, 8.000)

1:22 pm. Matteo Levantesi SR: Maltese, amazing control on one handstand after but then bent his arms on the subsequent one, saltos right to handstand, a little shaky but impressive to go right to that position after the saltos. Full-twisting double layout with a step. 13.200 (4.7, 8.500)

Nicolo Mozzato HB: 13.700 (5.2, 8.500)

Yumin Abbadini SR: 13.400 (4.7, 8.700)

1:19 pm. Tommaso Brugnami FX: Double double, small hop back. Good on the randi. Strong 2.5 to front layout. Clean double full, and great landing on the triple full. Still just a junior! 13.650 (5.0, 8.650)

Lorenzo Galli VT: Saw him hit a clean kaz full. 14.000 (4.8, 9.200)

Niccolo Vannucchi PB: 13.150 (5.2, 7.950)

1:16 pm. Manrique Larduet VT: Got a massive block on the kaz 1.5 but was landing on what looks like an 8 inch mat and couldn’t get his feet under him in time for the landing, I feel like that would have hit on the competition surface without the mat. 13.250 (5.2, 8.050)

Before that he hit a Dragulescu, also on the high mat, also slightly short, but with just a step forward. 14.400 (5.6, 8.800)

Marco Sarrugerio HB: 11.300 (4.3, 7.000)

1:14 pm. Marco Lodadio SR: I wasn’t typing at the beginning but he hit everything, lovely inverted cross to saltos to maltese, legs were way lower than his hips on that position, front pike to iron cross, inverted hang before the front giant to handstand, little adjustments, double double, stuck it on his toes. 14.550 (6.3, 8.250)

1:11 pm. Rotation 8 Standings

1. Manrique Larduet 109.650
2. Mario Macchiati 108.850
3. Lorenzo Bonicelli 108.700
4. Yumin Abbadini 108.450
5. Lorenzo Casali 108.350
6. Edoardo de Rosa 107.500
7. Marco Sarrugerio 107.200
8. Matteo Levantesi 106.800

1:09 pm. Mario Macchiati PH: Getting a replay of this! Solid hit set from him, just little things throughout but didn’t really have any major mistakes that drastically affected his form or fluidity. 13.400 (5.5, 7.900)

1:08 pm. They just went back and showed Carlo Macchini’s HB so I included quick hits where I had previously just typed up his score! It was a bit scrappy at times but a huge set overall.

Tommaso de Vecchis PB: They also went back and showed this, wasn’t typing but it was a good routine. 13.500 (5.5, 8.000)

1:05 pm. Lorenzo Galli SR: Wasn’t typing for this routine but nothing looked majorly wrong, just came up a bit short on the double double dismount, big leap/lunge forward. 12.650 (4.4, 8.250)

Marco Sarrugerio PB: 13.900 (5.8, 8.100)

1:04 pm. Nicola Bartolini PH: Slight bend in his hips throughout his circle work at the beginning, and he loses his rhythm in the Busnari, which forces him off of the horse. Off a second time right after remounting. More aggressive after mounting for the last time, some BIG swings and a great dismount. 10.100 (4.1, 6.000)

Carlo Macchini HB: Pegan was so nice, layout Kovacs, Kolman with some leg separation, Rybalko was a whole mess but didn’t mess him up, Zou Li Min, Tak full finished pretty well, Tak half even better, stalder, hop full, full-twisting double layout, small hop. 14.100 (6.1, 8.000)

1:01 pm. Matteo Levantesi PH: Scissors through to circles, moves to the single handle for some Russians, back to circles, transitioning between both handles and the horse, Russians at the end of the horse, loses some leg form while traveling, fighting through a couple of separations and bends, but then bends his knees right before he’s about to push up into the handstand for the dismount and can’t win this battle, has to come off. Back on just for the dismount. 12.100 (5.3, 6.800)

1:00 pm. Andrea Russo SR: Hit some good iron cross positions in this routine, including out of the saltos. Was short and arched on a handstand near the end, and had a clean full-twisting double layout, slight hop back. 13.750 (5.5, 8.250)

Manrique Larduet SR: 14.100 (5.6, 8.500)

12:58 pm. Yumin Abbadini PH: Scissors with nice extension into his flairs, the amplitude! This Is looking beautiful so far, good level and directional changes, hips are high above the horse, his extension is out of this world, a little muscle into the dismount but WOW. 14.100 (5.8, 8.300)

Niccolo Vannucchi VT: 14.550 (5.2, 9.350)

12:57 pm. Nicolo Mozzato PB: Nice Makuts and one-arm pirouettes, Tippelt went up smoothly, Bhavsar, Diamidov, a little deep on the double front half dismount, but strong routine overall. 14.150 (6.0, 8.150)

12:56 pm. Since Manrique Larduet isn’t licensed by the FIG anymore and has been training in Italy, I’m wondering if he’s going to not be considered a guest for this competition, which would make him eligible to medal? I don’t think he’s done anything to change nationality to Italy or anything but would be cool if he did!

12:50 pm. Rotation 7 Standings

1. Manrique Larduet 95.550
2. Mario Macchiati 95.450
3. Lorenzo Casali 94.950
4. Matteo Levantesi 94.700
5. Yumin Abbadini 94.350
6. Edoardo de Rosa 94.100
– Lorenzo Bonicelli 94.100
8. Lorenzo Galli 93.400

12:48 pm. Matteo Levantesi FX: Powerful front full to double front, small hop. Front double full to front tuck full. Arabian double front, beautiful, small hop. Superb on the double full down the side. 2.5 to front layout, a little whippy, hop forward. Triple full was a bit short, big lunge forward. 13.800 (5.5, 8.300)

12:46 pm. A lot of waiting around on this stream for the top guys to go, but I’ll share notable scores for routines we don’t see as they come in!

Yumin Abbadini FX: Sad we missed this! 14.150 (5.5, 8.650)

12:44 pm. Andrea Dotti SR: Only saw the end part of this, he went for a double-twisting double layout dismount! Just came up a bit short. 11.150 (5.1, 6.050)

12:41 pm. Mario Macchiati FX: Front full to double front, some cowboy, tiny hop. Front double full to front tuck full, bouncy again. Arabian double front half, chest forward and a small step. Double full was good, but hops his feet together. 1.5 to front layout, a bit arched in the latter and tentative on the landing. Triple full, hop back. 13.300 (5.5, 7.800)

12:38 pm. Nicolo Vannucchi SR: Maltese to iron cross, rolls through to a pike sit, swings through to saltos, some sloppy form especially transitioning into the iron cross, inverted hang to front giant to handstand, not bad. Back giant to handstand arched quite a bit, double double was GREAT, and stuck! 13.550 (5.4, 8.150)

Marco Lodadio FX: 13.650 (5.3, 8.350)

12:37 pm. Manrique Larduet PH: Good scissor work at the start and he’s moving well throughout his circles in the first half, slight ankle separation going up into the dismount but overall this was a strong routine and his extension was mostly pretty solid. 12.650 (4.6, 8.050)

Marcu Sarrugerio VT: 13.550 (4.8, 8.750)

Lorenzo Bonicelli SR: 13.200 (4.8, 8.400)

12:34 pm. Lorenzo Casali FX: Front double full, got a WILD punch into a huge double front, wow. Full-twisting double layout. Clean double full. 2.5 to front layout with a small hop forward. Triple full, some leg form but a solid landing. 14.450 (6.0, 8.450)

Ares Federici VT: 14.050 first vault, 13.650 for his second

Tommaso Brugnami PB: 12.650 (4.2, 8.450)

12:31 pm. Nicola Bartolini FX: Beautiful piked double front half. Amazing kick-out of the double double. 1.5 to front double full, tiny hop. Hit the side pass, casual randi I think? Maybe a rudi, I didn’t count. 2.5 to front layout is really nice. Beautiful triple full, had to take a small hop but it was gorgeous. Amazing routine. 14.150 (5.6, 8.550)

12:28 pm. Starting with the touch for the first rotation now!

12:18 pm. The live stream should hopefully start any second now! Leaders after day one included (Italy only, no guests)…

1. Mario Macchiati 82.150
2. Lorenzo Bonicelli 80.900
– Matteo Levantesi 80.900
4. Edoardo de Rosa 80.600
5. Lorenzo Casali 80.500
6. Yumin Abbadini 80.200

At the top of the list is Manrique Larduet of Cuba with an 82.900 but I’m not sure if he would eligible for the Italian title or medal?
