11:35 am. Rings Final Standings

1. Vinzenz Höck, Austria, 14.300
2. Sokratis Pilakouris, Cyprus, 14.166
3. Daniel Villafañe, Argentina, 13.900
4. Rakesh Patra, India, 13.733
5. Oleg Verniaiev, Ukraine, 13.733
6. Balazs Kiss, Hungary, 13.566
7. Pantely Kolodii, Ukraine, 13.266
8. Benedek Tomcsanyi, Hungary, 13.100

11:31 am. Pantely Kolodii UKR SR: Rolls through to maltese, drops to inverted hang to front pike to iron cross, nods his head, nice, inverted pike to saltos to pike sit, presses to handstand, slightly sway in his back, front giant to handstand also has some arch, back giant to handstand, some adjustments when he gets to position, and a double double with a hop back. Could’ve used a bit more control throughout but a good hit nonetheless. 13.266 (5.0, 8.266)

11:29 am. Balazs Kiss HUN SR: Strong maltese, inverted hang to maltese, legs are a little lower than his hips, inverted hang to planche, got there really fast! Back giant to handstand, arches and swings slightly, front giant to handstand is a little cleaner, right into his saltos to pike sit, presses up to handstand, corrects once he’s there, but it’s minor, clean and stuck full-twisting double layout! 13.566 (5.4, 8.166)

11:25 am. Vinzenz Höck AUT SR: Hit the first couple of skills when I wasn’t typing, front pike out to iron cross pressed out to maltese was an awesome series, inverted pike to saltos to maltese, inverted hang to planche, took his legs a second to get to position, down to iron cross, really nice, back giant to handstand, slight movement, and he’s a bit deep on the full-twisting double layout landing, hop. 14.300 (6.1, 8.200)

11:22 am. Rakesh Patra IND SR: Planche, inverted hang to maltese, swings through to planche, nice positions. Saltos to maltese, takes him a second to open out and get there, inverted hang to front giant, handstand isn’t bad, a little low on the full-twisting double layout but gets a good landing otherwise. 13.733 (5.3, 8.433)

11:20 am. Touch for the second half!

11:17 am. Oleg Verniaiev UKR SR: Maltese down to inverted hang and pike, through to maltese, good body line. Down to iron cross, then drops to a hang before swinging into his saltos up to straddle planche, could have held it longer, and then he arches over the back giant to handstand a bit. Front giant to handstand is better, and he nearly sticks the double double, just takes a baby step after trying to hold the landing for a second. 13.733 (5.5, 8.233)

11:15 am. Daniel Villafañe ARG SR: Maltese is really tight and clean to start, inverted hang to planche, inverted hang to saltos to iron cross, inverted hang out to maltese, then down to iron cross, nice transitions from him on literally everything. Front giant to handstand, back giant to the full-twisting double layout dismount, great landing, fantastic routine! 13.900 (5.5, 8.400) – think that E should be higher compared to the first two honestly

11:12 am. Benedek Tomcsanyi HUN SR: Iron cross, inverted hang through to iron cross, inverted pike through to straddle planche, then through to handstand, swinging and arched a bit there, saltos to pike sit, presses out to a staddle up to handstand, really arched there, back giant to handstand, arched and takes him a second to get in position, double double dismount, a little low with a small step. 13.100 (5.1, 8.000)

11:09 am. Sokratis Pilakouris CYP SR: Hit everything at the beginning, apologies for not typing, was quite short on the inverted cross, but corrected a bit and swung out nicely into the saltos to maltese, down to iron cross, back giant to handstand was good, front giant to handstand was short but got there eventually, full-twisting double layout, some pike throughout but sticks the landing! 14.166 (5.8, 8.366)

11:08 am. Touch is underway for rings!

7. Ioana Stanciulescu, Romania, 12.266
8. Anna Lashchevska, Ukraine, 12.066

Pommel Horse Final Standings

1. Matvei Petrov, Albania, 14.733
2. Oleg Verniaiev, Ukraine, 14.633
3. Radomir Sliz, Czechia, 13.833
4. Matteo Giubellini, Switzerland, 13.766
5. Krisztofer Meszaros, Hungary, 13.200
6. Santiago Mayol, Argentina, 13.033
7. Balazs Kiss, Hungary, 12.233
8. Manuel Arnold, Austria, 12.166

10:50 am. Naveen Daries RSA UB: Ooh, her leo is GORGEOUS! The color! Toe full was excellent, to Maloney to Gienger, really low but reaches up to catch, toe half to straddle Jaeger was really nice, bail had some hip form, to toe shoot, good handstand before the layout double full dismount, baby step on the landing, great work. 12.600 (4.9, 7.700)

10:48 am. Balazs Kiss HUN PH: Scissors to handstand, little muscle up there, but transitions well down to his circles, some single handle work before moving down to the horse, back up to the single handle for Russians but his hand placement is a bit off and he can’t keep it moving, fall. Back on for a wide-arm travel, then circles up to handstand for the dismount. 12.233 (5.3, 6.933)

10:46 am. Lucija Hribar SLO UB: Toe half to huge straddle Jaeger, Ray to Pak, some flexed feet on the Ray. Maloney came out a little low in the backswing but still got it to the bail to toe shoot without problems, quick blind full pretty well done to handstand, and a clean solid double tuck! Good work. 12.900 (5.0, 7.900) – puts her fourth, so close!

10:44 am. Manuel Arnold AUT PH: Wasn’t typing at the beginning but he came off almost rgiht away. Had some leg separations and bends in his circles after remounting, and really has to muscle into the dismount, which looked a bit rushed overall. 12.166 (5.3, 6.866)

10:41 am. Ioana Stanciulescu ROU UB: Maloney (slight leg separation) to Pak (more legs there), van Leeuwen, minor form, blind change to straddle Jaeger, a little slow to rotate and caught a little close, Ray with some leg form in the air, blind full with some hip form, and a slow rotation in her double tuck dismount, but she gets the landing with a step. She looks a million times taller than when I last saw her and I think some of her form struggles here are a result of just being taller and not being completely used to it yet? Like her hip bends on her swings especially, which add up. 12.266 (4.9, 7.366)

10:39 am. Santiago Mayol ARG PH: Scissors work up to handstand, arches over before going back down to a scissor element, loses leg form on the one-arm swing and then his leg and hip form are both not quite there on some of his single pommel circles. Russians at the end of the horse, his legs are brushing the handles every swing, muscles up a bit into the handstand for the dismount, a bit of a scrappy set but lots of strong fight throughout! 13.033 (5.5, 7.533)

10:37 am. Zoja Szekely HUN UB: Inbar full to Komova II to Pak, nice! Maloney to Gienger, could be a bit higher but she was mostly clean. Blind change to piked Jaeger, nice height there! Toe full was a little late, to full-in, small step on the landing. Great work! That should easily take the lead. 14.133 (6.2, 7.933)

10:36 am. Radomir Sliz CZE PH: Wasn’t typing at the beginning but he hit everything I saw, traveled in Russians and circles, Russians at the end of the horse got a little shady going into the dismount and he’s not doing quite what he needs to be doing, but he stayed on at least? And it’s a hit! 13.833 (5.9, 7.933)

10:33 am. Touch for the second half is underway!

10:31 am. Yelizaveta Hubareva UKR UB: Inbar full, really rushed and finished late, Chow to Pak was nice, Maloney with leg separation, connected to a Gienger, a little low. Inbar half to straddle Jaeger, had some nice toe point in the air there. Clean double tuck, looked like a stuck landing! Lots to clean up but nice to see a hit in this relatively difficult set. 13.000 (5.5, 7.500)

10:29 am. Matvei Petrov ALB PH: Scissors to handstand on the single pommel back to scissors into his circles, one-arm swing, circles and Russians on the single handle, Busnari got a little tentative going up but he moves well in handstand and then down into the flair work, travels back and forth in flairs, loses leg form right before the dismount but controls it back well enough to make it to handstand. Great work! 14.733 (6.4, 8.333)

10:27 am. Audrey Rousseau CAN UB: Hop change to Weiler half (some ankle separation on the turn) to Maloney to clear hip to big Tkachev, great! Bail to toe-on to Ray, her lift up is a bit low but caught with no problems. Blind full, a little rushed but not significantly so, and a tucked toe front half dismount. Great! 12.733 (4.8, 7.933)

10:25 am. Oleg Verniaiev UKR PH: Scissors to handstand to scissors into cirlces on both pommels, transitions to a single handle with a one-arm swing and stays working on that one in circles and then Russians, Russians between the pommels as well, good! Travels in circles and then in Russians, Russians at the end of the horse before circles back to Russians back to more circles into the dismount, his back and forth between elements is SO fluid! Just minor form things throughout but this was great. 14.633 (6.5, 8.133)

10:23 am. Lili Czifra HUN UB: Stalder full was nice, to Maloney to stalder, Ricna, nice! Pak was clean as well. Stalder to toe shoot, caught really close and made her next kip cast a bit labored, front giants into a double front dismount, some leg form and a hop back, but overall this is a nice routine. 12.933 (5.2, 7.733)

10:21 am. Matteo Giubellini SUI PH: I think this is my first time watching him compete as a senior! Absolutely LOVED him as a junior. Scissor work is solid enough. Some pike in his circles, works well into the Russians on the single handle, loses some leg form while traveling in circles and again before the handstand into the dismount, but overall a solid set. 13.766 (5.8, 7.966)

10:18 am. Anna Lashchevska UKR UB: Inbar to Maloney to Pak, slight leg separation. Nice handstand on the half turn before the stalder to toe shoot. Another good handstand before the inbar half to straddle Jaeger, caught a little close there. Short handstand before toe toe full, dismounts iwht a full-in, legs get really wild in the second flip, she lands awkwardly, looks like she has the landing at first though, but then kind of crumples down into sitting it. MASSIVE bummer. 12.066 (5.3, 6.766)

10:16 am. Krisztofer Meszaros HUN PH: Scissors to handstand down to circles, single handle and one-arm go well, good transitions between handles, Russians on the single handle and across the horse, then through to circles, hips start to close a bit before and during his travels, slight leg form on the transition into the handstand for the dismount, but this was a rock solid routine! 13.200 (4.9, 8.300)

He looks REALLY confused about that, looks like he lost some D?

10:13 am. Touch warmup beginning for pommel horse and uneven bars!

10:02 am. Short break for the medal ceremonies!

9:56 am. Women’s Vault Final Standings

4. Botond Molnar, Hungary, 13.966
5. Sam Mostowfi, Great Britain, 13.866
6. Nazar Chepurnyi, Ukraine, 13.600
7. Kevin Penev, Bulgaria, 13.600
8. Valgard Reinhardsson, Iceland, 12.433

9:49 am. Pranati Nayak IND VT: Tsuk full, could tighten up in her form overall but she lands well. 13.066 (4.4, 8.666)

Handspring front tuck full for the second vault, some leg form throughout from the knees down, lands with a step forward. 12.866 (4.2, 8.666)

12.966 average

9:46 am. Eddie Penev BUL FX: Double twisting double layout, slight form in the air but not bad, small hop on the landing. I missed his second pass entry, randi maybe? Or back triple, I hate missing the entry! Double double tucked for his third, great. 1.5 to front full down the side, and then a whip to 2.5 to front layout, really nice! Front double full at the end was strong. 14.400 (5.8, 8.600)

9:44 am. Makarena Pinto CHI VT: Tsuk full, form in the air is a bit of a miss with bent knees and hips, making her layout shape really ambiguous, and she completely has no control of the landing, ends up flying back into a massive hop. 12.533 (4.4, 8.233, -0.1 ND)

Ooh, a handspring front tuck 1.5 for her second vault! Love to see it. Much tighter there overall, but her tuck form gets a little messy with her legs not completely glued, and she has a small hop on the landing. 13.166 (4.6, 8.566)

12.849 average

9:41 am. Botond Molnar HUN FX: Front full to double front, hop forward. The floor is SUPER bouncy today? Randi with a little hop back. Front double full, nearly stuck but has to hop back into the salute. Clean double full, little balance check with his arm movements, but strong feet. 2.5 to front layout, great landing there. Triple full, some ankle form and a big arm wave to hold the landing, though he ultimately takes two little steps back. 13.966 (5.6, 8.366)

9:38 am. Dorien Motten GEO VT: Tsuk full, nice stretch in the air coming off the table, though her body line softens up in flight and she ends up piking down on the landing, big step back. 13.000 (4.4, 8.600)

Handspring front pike, really nice shape in the air, but lands with some forward momentum and has to kind of leap out of it. 12.533 (3.8, 8.733)

12.766 average

9:36 am. Valgard Reinhardsson ISL FX: Piked double front, set was a bit low and so was his landing, but not too bad. Randi was a bit wild in the air, big bounce to control the landing. Front full to front double full, hop forward. I think he had a 2.5 to tucked barani near the end? And finished with a triple full, stuck with his chest forward. 12.433 (5.2, 7.533, -0.3)

9:32 am. Athanasia Mesiri GRE VT: Does the sign of the cross before going, MY SWEET CHILD HAHA. Same. Yurchenko full, nice! Not the most powerful but overall a good clean vault aside from some soft hip form at times. Step back. 12.933 (4.2, 8.733)

Yurchenko half-on front pike, FANTASTIC landing! Oh, this is a promising vault! Pike form is stunning and the landing was basically stuck, just has a tiny balance check. 13.000 (4.0, 9.000)

12.966 average

9:31 am. Sam Mostowfi GBR FX: Casual triple double, small baby step back. 2.5 to front layout to front full, great connections. Dobuel double with a step back. Walks into a double full down the side, flared and stuck. Front double full to barani, a bit weird there in the connection, the punch looked a bit off and the barani ended up not really around, big wild lunge forward but saves it from a fall. Randi with a tiny hop, and then a triple full to finish, over-rotates a bit with a big step back. 13.866 (6.2, 7.766, -0.1 ND)

9:28 am. Touch starting for the second half of the rotations!

9:25 am. Tijana Korent CRO VT: Handspring front pike half, good pike shape coming off the table, but lands a little short with her chest far down, and then takes a small step forward. 12.666 (4.0, 8.666)

Yurchenko full, legs are a bit straddled coming off of the table, but she tightens up and finishes well, hop back. 13.033 (4.2, 8.833)

12.849 average

9:23 am. Luca Murabito SUI FX: Randi to start, bobbles on the landing but gets it around. Double double, nice open for the landing, small hop. Front double full to front full, small hop forward. Clean double full down the side. 2.5 to front layout, nice arms to flare that layout out a bit. Triple full was SO high and lovely in the air! Bigger hop back there. 14.000 (5.7, 8.300)

9:21 am. Thelma Adalsteinsdottir ISL VT: Clean Yurchenko full, lacking in height and distance, but gets it around without basically piking at all, though she has to bend down and take a small hop forward on the landing. 13.066 (4.2, 8.866)

Tsuk tuck full for the second vault, again the block isn’t quite there and she travels kind of horizontally off of the table, also has a big hop back. 12.500 (3.8, 8.700)

12.783 average

9:18 am. Krisztofer Meszaros HUN FX: 2.5 to double front, a little deep but strong overall. Double double, basically stuck on his toes, but a little low again. Randi was lovely in the air. Cartwheels out of it to get in position for his strength elements, Russians into a split. Front double full to front layout, a little unsure on the connection and has a hop forward to control. 1.5 to front full after that was nice and clean. Triple full, stuck with his chest down. He’s always SO lovely to watch. 14.666 (6.0, 8.666)

9:16 am. Greta Mayer HUN VT: Tsuk full, really nice and stretched coming off the table, just pikes down slightly before the landing, tiny hop to the side. 13.466 (4.4, 9.066)

Ooh, nice, stuck her Yurchenko layout on the second run! Not super powerful but that was a fab landing. 12.833 (3.6,  9.233)

13.149 average

9:13 am. Nazar Chepurnyi UKR FX: Think he started with a 1.5 to double front, a bit low with a step forward, but the double double after was strong, small bounce back there. 2.5 to front layout was clean, steps out of it into his little salute thingy. Double full down the side, good. Triple full, some form in the air, but decent on the landing. 13.600 (5.5, 8.400, -0.3 ND)

9:09 am. Alice Vlkova CZE VT: She had a great quals, I think made every event but bars! Handspring front pike half, step back, but decent in the air, only minor leg form at times. 12.833 (4.0, 8.833)

Second vault is a tsuk full, a little piked in the air and has a lunge back, but another solid vault for the first-year senior. 13.166 (4.4, 8.766)

12.999 average

9:06 am. Kevin Penev BUL FX: Double-twisting double layout, small hop. Front full to double front, a bit cowboyed, tiny slide back. Double double with a baby hop back. Looks great so far! Clean double full down the side. Front double full with a small hop. 2.5 to front layout, big hop forward there OOB. Such a bouncy routine for him but his skills do look great in the air. Finally moves from tumbling to Russians on the floor, so many passes in a row without breaking them up! Triple full to finish, big step back OOB. The landings will make the score a bit tougher than he’d like, sadly, but it was a very nice set overall. 13.600 (6.1, 8.100, -0.5 ND)

9:02 am. Athletes are marching out now and are about to begin the touch for women’s vault and men’s floor!
