We are back in our attempt to inform you about absolutely everything related to the 2014 Secret U.S. Classic, to be held August 2 in Hoffman Estates, Ill.

Today we introduce you to some junior elites you may already know, but who have yet to make a national team and therefore will need a little encouragement from you guys to help them through! There’s a ton of talent here, and more than a few definitely have the potential to catch Marta’s attention this summer.

1. Christina Desiderio

Age: 13
Hometown: Hackettstown, New Jersey
Gym: Parkettes
Notable: 10th AA at 2013 U.S. Classic, 8th on beam at 2013 U.S. Nationals
What to Watch: She has fantastic presentation on floor, and her beam is pretty packed with skills.

2. Emily Muhlenhaupt

Age: 14
Hometown: Castle Rock, Colorado
Gym: Colorado Aerials
Notable: 2013 J.O. Nationals qualifier, 2013 U.S. Classic
What to Watch: She has great basics on vault, making her FTY very clean and pretty to watch.

3. Alexis Vasquez

Age: 14
Hometown: West Des Moines, Iowa
Gym: Chow’s Gymnastics and Dance Institute
Notable: 3rd AA at 2012 J.O. Nationals, 3rd on beam at 2013 U.S. Nationals
What to Watch: A true Chow’s kid, her beam is outstanding. She has difficult skills and combos, but also stays steady.

4. Lexy Ramler

Age: 15
Hometown: St. Michael, Minnesota
Gym: KidSport LLC
Notable: 1st AA at 2013 J.O. Nationals, competed at 2013 U.S. Classic and U.S. Nationals
What to Watch: She has a Bhardwaj on bars! Enough said.

5. Grace Quinn

Age: 14
Hometown: Arlington, Texas
Gym: Texas Dreams Gymnastics
Notable: 2013 U.S. Classic, 9th AA at 2013 U.S. Nationals
What to Watch: Last year’s beam routine caught my eye with her composure and triple full dismount.

6. Molly Frack

Age: 13
Hometown: Nazareth, Pennsylvania
Gym: Parkettes
Notable: Competed at 2013 U.S. Classic and Nationals
What to Watch: I was obsessed with the energy in her floor routine last year!

7. Deanne Soza

Age: 12
Hometown: Orem, Utah
Gym: Arete Gymnastics
Notable: Competed at 2013 U.S. Classic and U.S. Nationals, 3rd AA at 2014 American Classic
What to Watch: She has a DTY now and really stands out on floor. She should definitely prove to be a national team contender.

8. Taylor Lawson

Age: 14
Hometown: Macungie, Pennsylvania
Gym: Parkettes
Notable: 9th AA at 2012 American Classic, competed at 2012 U.S. Classic
What to Watch: Taylor has been injured for awhile but looks stronger on all four events now that she’s back. Her FTY is very powerful!

9. Maile O’Keefe

Age: 12
Hometown: Las Vegas, Nevada
Gym: Salcianu Gymnastics
Notable: Competed at 2013 U.S. Classic, 6th AA at 2014 American Classic
What to Watch: Beam is a very strong event for her. She is very controlled and fluid for someone so young!

10. Ariana Agrapides

Age: 13
Hometown: Bayville, New Jersey
Gym: MG Elite
Notable: 1st on vault at 2013 U.S. Nationals, 2nd on bars at 2014 American Classic
What to Watch: Her DTY last year absolutely blew everyone away! She actually won’t attend the Classic this year due to injury, but will be back in time for Nationals.

11. Sydney Johnson-Scharpf

Age: 13, will turn 14 at the U.S. Classic!
Hometown: Clermont, Florida
Gym: Brandy Johnson’s Global Gymnastics
Notable: 8th on beam and floor at 2013 U.S. Classic, competed at 2013 U.S. Nationals, 7th on beam at 2014 American Classic
What to Watch: Floor. This kid is dynamite. Her energy and personality are unmatched.

12. Jordan Chiles

Age: 13
Hometown: Vancouver, Washington
Gym: Naydenov Gymnastics
Notable: Competed at 2013 U.S. Nationals, 6th AA and 2nd on vault at 2014 City of Jesolo Trophy, added to 2013-2014 National Team
What to Watch: She is aggressive on vault! Though she made it to the national team, she was a late addition to fulfill a spot in Italy, so I included her as a *technically* on this list. But if she were Rio eligible, I bet she’d be competing in the senior session with the other top ladies!

13. Megan Skaggs

Age: 15
Hometown: Marietta, Georgia
Gym: Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta
Notable: 5th on floor at 2013 U.S. Nationals, 4th AA at 2014 American Classic
What to Watch: Floor! She shines there, and has only gotten better between last year and this year.

14. Gabby Perea

Age: 12
Hometown: Geneva, Illinois
Gym: Legacy Elite
Notable: 7th on beam at 2013 U.S. Classic, 1st on beam at 2014 American Classic
What to Watch: Beam, beam, BEAM. Look at that standing full! This is a routine from last year and she’s been working hard! Here’s her new routine.

15. Megan Freed

Age: 13
Hometown: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Gym: Parkettes
Notable: Competed at 2013 U.S. Classic, 1st FX/10th AA at 2014 American Classic
What to Watch: I think she’s adorable and fun to watch on floor.
