The team from Turnz Amsterdam won the Dutch Team Championship they hosted today in Amsterdam with a 159.484, nearly five points ahead of the team from GTV De Hazenkamp.

The meet was a team competition only, using the same three up three count format used in team finals at World Championships and the Olympic Games. Three gyms competed at the event with each gym using A and B teams.

The winning team featured the talents of 2014 World Championship competitor Vera van Pol (who posted the highest uneven bars score of the day) in addition to Sanna Veerman, 2014 Youth Olympic Games competitor Isa Maassen, and comeback kid Noël van Klaveren, who hit a stupendous DTY vault and a fantastic floor routine to bring the two highest scores to her team’s total.

Though there was no all-around score, van Klaveren competed on all four events, earning a 55.917 total, the highest among those who performed on all four events. The team also included Wyomi Masela, though she ended up not competing.

The silver medalists from Hazenkamp also included a member of this year’s Worlds team. Maartje Ruikes competed a lovely FTY on vault for a 14.05, which was her team’s top score; she also brought in a 13.1 on beam. In addition to Ruikes, Julia Bombach, Reina Beltman, Mara Titarsolej, and Juliette Berens also competed, with Beltman bringing in a 13.55 on floor and Bombach earning a 13.8 on vault, though overall this team had much lower difficulty than the girls from Amsterdam.

SV Pax Haarlemmermeer, featuring Eythora Thorsdottir, won bronze. Thorsdottir competed all four events, earning a 54.033 in the all-around with scores mostly in the mid-13s. She unfortunately had a fall on beam, where she showed a 5.7 start value, one of the most difficult routines of the day. Her team also included Chiara Frisina Fauste, Kirsten Polderman, Mandy Mohamed, and Dyo Supriana.
