The Gymternet Gives Thanks

This week, I talked to gym fans across this great, wide gymternet of ours to see what they were most thankful for in the 2014 season. Here’s what they had to say!

1. Ellie Black’s incredibly original tumbling passes.

2. Becky Downie’s success on bars.

3. FLAVIA.

4. Great online coverage of gymnastics events, especially the live streams for Worlds.

Lots of people expressed sentiments like this in bits and pieces, so I combined everyone’s ideas using this quote from elisaminimeneghini, who pretty much covered it all.

From all of us at The Gymternet, we’ve only just celebrated our four month anniversary but our loyal readers make us feel like we’ve been here since the beginning. Thank you for trusting in our coverage, for sharing with friends, for offering to help out with articles and website maintenance, and for everything else you do that makes us stand out. We started this site with a “for fans, by fans” mission and love bringing you the kind of content only other obsessive fans can produce. Thank you for all of your comments and questions, and for respecting other readers and all contributors…we’ve not once had to delete or block a user for trolling and we’re very proud of attracting mature readers with a real interest in everything about the sport – you guys are so much fun to interact with both through the site and on social media, and it’s honestly the best part of running this site. We are SO THANKFUL for each and every single one of you. You guys make us great. You make all the hard work seem like nothing and we are out of our minds with gratitude for you all.
