The Gym Gala in Belgium has announced the cast of performers expected to appear at this spectacle celebration of gymnastics, held at the Forest National Arena in Brussels, Belgium on December 20.
The gala will feature international guests, performance groups, and Belgian gymnasts of all disciplines.
Young Belgian gymnastics star Laura Waem headlines the event alongside MAG athlete Maxime Gentges and junior rhythmic gymnast Anais Collin. Waem, who joined the senior ranks last year, has qualified to the all-around finals at World Championships two years in a row, placing 21st in 2013 and 24th in 2014.
Representing the international artistic gymnastics community are 2014 European and Commonwealth Games uneven bars champion Becky Downie of Great Britain, 2014 World Championship bronze uneven bars medalist Daria Spiridonova of Russia, and 2013 World Championship silver and bronze medalist Fabian Hambuechen of Germany.
Also expected to perform? The Romanian aerobic national team, trampoline gymnasts Romain Legros and Allan Morante of France, acrobatic gymnasts Camille Curti and Alexis Martin of France, and performers La Troupe Backlight, Speeders Family, Contre-Tendance, Thibault Bregere, Erika Lemay, Crazy Alliance, OTM Gent, MAG and WAG gymnasts from the Centre de Haut Niveau de Mons, WAG gymnasts from the Centre de Formation, and group gymnastics performers from GC Malmedy, Royale Vaillante de Jupille, and GymnoRythmies Uccle.
