12:23 pm. Gaskins, USA, FX- Double layout actually not bad considering how low it was in training, stuck. But tucked full-in is messy and bounced OOB. Switch ring + switch full + stag, double arabian, little step back. Double pike low, chest down and a hop forward.

Campana, Italy, VT- FTY, tiny hop but clean

15.65 for Locklear!!!!!

Ugrin, Italy, VT- Solid FTY, 14.1

12:21 pm. Fall from France on beam just now, I think this is Lechenault, I can’t see, FloPro has had Louise Vanhille’s name up for 5 years…on her bhs bhs layout. Hit Onodi, little stumbles everywhere else. Sat double pike.

12:20 pm. Seems like Laurie apparently dragged her feet on the floor after her pak. Makes sense.

12:19 pm. Locklear, USA, UB- Inbar full to Komova II to pak to Maloney to bail to Ray, inbar half to straddle Jaeger, stuck full-in with a wobble.

12:17 pm. Saraiva, Brazil, FX- 2.5 to front full is great. Tucked full-in with a step. Hit middle pass and double tuck. She is PERFECT and the crowd loves her. She is gonna steal Brazil’s hearts right out of their bodies.

WOW, so Laurie really did get a 13.8? I’m really confused, I’ll have to watch that again. I must have missed something. 14.4 for Skinner meanwhile!!!! #USChampionOfEverything

12:15 pm. Brevet, France, BB- Switch to switch half, front aerial to sissone to split leap, nice. Full Y turn with a check, bhs loso with slightly bent knees, side aerial, side somi with lovely extension, double pike with a step back.

12:13 pm. Barbosa, Brazil, FX- Whip to full-in a little short, big step back. This music sounds like whales eating each other whilst singing. Piked full-in, step. 2.5, double pike a bit low but stands up out of it.

Score for Laurie just came up as 13.8 but that can’t be right? Unless I missed something MAJOR lol.

12:12 pm. Ferlito, Italy, VT-1.5 a little tucked, step on landing

12:11 pm. Kuhm, France, BB- Wobble after double spin, front aerial, sheep jump, switch to back tuck little check, double pike with a step

12:09 pm. Hernandez, USA, UB- Stalder full to Tkachev, Downie, Ricna to pak, best and cleanest pak ever btw, Endo half to Ray, full-in great landing. Best form I’ve seen from her aside from the opening stalder full!

Mariani, Italy, VT- Good FTY, 14.1

12:06 pm. Vanhille, France, BB- Front aerial, wobble. Side aerial. Think those were supposed to be connected. Full L turn, bhs loso with bent knees, switch to switch half, low amplitude. Side somi, stuck gainer layout.

12:05 pm. Skinner, USA, UB- Weiler half to Maloney to pak (leg sep), van Leeuwen (slight leg sep), toe full to huge Tkachev, Ray is also pretty big, full-in tiny hop. Better than Glasgow!

12:04 pm. Hypolito, Brazil, FX- 2.5 to front layout, nice. Double L turn, switch ring, Memmel turn to full pirouette, her music is straight out of 1987, 1.5 to front full to casual beat jump because why not, goes for triple pirouette but it’s a little short, whip into double pike which she lands but then randomly stumbles.

12:02 pm. Bahl, France, BB- Front aerial to sissone to wolf jump, nails bhs layout, switch to low switch half, side aerial, side somi, full turn, her skin is so pale her legs look porcelain, double pike with a step. Not bad! 13.8

12:00 pm. Raisman, USA, UB- Archy on first handstand, toe full to Maloney has no amplitude and Tkachev is ow, hop change to straddle Jaeger, toe on to bail to Ray, all good so far. Toe half to double front with a hop forward. She had almost zero of the aggressiveness she showed in training, sadly, but it was a hit routine. 14.35

11:59 am. Johnson-Scharpf hit her routine but went OOB on the double tuck in her last pass, and took a million steps back.

11:58 am. 13.6 for Boyer on bars and 13.35 for Johnson-Scharpf on floor.

11:51 am. Boyer, France, UB- Maloney to bail to Ray, giant full, blind change to straddle Jaeger, toe half with leg sep, full-in nearly stuck

11:50 am. Gaskins, USA, BB- Front aerial to split jump, loose knees. Bhs loso, big wobble but no fall! Switch + back tuck, side aerial, full Y turn is a little stumbly, switch ring but the back leg has zero ring to it so it’s basically a switch leap with her head back, front tuck with a stumble, double pike with straddle legs and two steps back

11:49 am. Bahl, France, UB- Saw piked Jaeger, Ray, giant full, and double layout, form didn’t look the greatest but it’s Camille and this is nowhere near a strong event for her, and she hit yo

11:48 am. Saraiva, Brazil, BB- bhs loso loso solid, roundoff to layout tiny wobble, full turn, switch leap, switch ring leap tiny stumble, punch front tiny stumble, aerail walk+aerial walk+side somi SO GOOD, split jump+Sissone, double pike dismount good

11:47 am. Smith, USA, VT- DTY, came up high on the table but got a lot of air time, hit with feet apart

11:45 am. Carofiglio, Italy, FX- hit Dowell, Rudi+front layout solid, double front tuck almost sat it but saved it

Ugrin, Italy, FX- double pike step back, double full, double L turn, double tuck chest down hop forward

11:37 am. Ferlito, Italy, FX- Full-in almost stuck, double tuck hop, hit gorgeous Mustafina, double pike hop, gorgeous choreo as always, crowd LOVED IT 13.8

11:35 am. Skinner, USA, VT- Amanar, looked a little under-rotated and her butt was a little low, but it was down the center and her form was some of her best I think, step 15.2 OUCH

11:33 am. Vanhille, France, UB- Chow to Ricna, nice! Then takes an epty swing. Jaeger, pak, shaposh to bail to toe shoot, giant full, double layout with a step

11:32 am. Mariani, Italy, FX- full in step back, double tuck tiny step, Memmel almost Mustafina, double pike stuck 13.85

11:26 am. Hypolito, Brazil, BB- Falls on bhs bhs layout. Switch ring, switch to ring leap, full L turn, side aerial, double pike with a slight hop

Campana, Italy, FX- double tuck tiny hop, double full stuck, double pike, double L turn

11:25 am. Kuhm, France, UB- Maloney, Jaeger, toe-on to bail to toe shoot, giant full, double layout, good routine.

11:22 am. Hernandez, USA, VT- DTY, a little loose in the knees, but hits with no problem, just a small bounce. 15.1

11:17 am. Warm-ups now! SOON!

11:11 am. Ashton Locklear just marched out so yeah, probably just because she’s not vaulting.

11:10 am. Athletes are marching out now!

11:07 am. So possibly Ashton just isn’t on the vault start list because she’s not competing vault? Usually they toss them at the bottom if this is the case but who knows.

11:02 am. Little performance thing before the athletes march out!

10:49 am. Start lists are below! Seems as though Lorrane Oliveira has scratched for Brazil and Ashton Locklear has scratched for the U.S. 😦 The U.S. team will feature Hernandez, Schild, Douglas, Skinner, Raisman, and Smith while Gaskins and Johnson-Scharpf will compete as individuals.

VAULT: Laurie Hernandez, Emily Schild, Gabby Douglas, MyKayla Skinner, Aly Raisman, Ragan Smith

BARS: Anne Kuhm, Marine Brevet, Louise Vanhille, Loan His, Oreane Lechenault, Camille Bahl, Marine Boyer

  3. Even aly best events was underscored floor and beam. And both both scores are not far from aly. Aly will stand strong come this summer. Baille would hVe put gabby in a nut shell if she was there. I’m tired of gabby and her gifts. Hope she not on that pac rim team

  5. What is the deduction for hitting ur feet on the floor? If it counts as a fall, Laurie would have been extremely close to Gabby. Hm. Still a great meet for USA in general.

    • She took out two elements…did a Chow instead of her Chow half and took out a stalder as well. In her actual routine she’ll count 8. She just watered it down for this meet.

      • Thank you! Seems strange not to just throw in another skill in before dismounting to gain a bunch of points but I guess the key here may be to just hit – wonder if she has any bar upgrades coming?

        • Yeah, when I saw her not doing the Chow half in training I figured she was probably just taking it easy here! I think she does have a few things she’s planning on adding.

  6. The constent over score of Gabby makes me not even want to watch this sport anymore. Anyone else notice her bar score got raised to .05 over Schild, thus securing her in EF? Why? Aly was underscored on floor and beam. I know she took the layout out of her first pass but I don’t think her d-score should be that low. Same with beam, she took out a leap but was basically solid on everything. Her Amanar scares me, but too much power is better than not enough I guess. I’d love to see her try a Rudi.
Ragan really impressed me. Her floor choreo is not my style but she sold the heck out of it.

Anyone know when the PacRim team gets announced?

Also-thank you for always providing the best coverage of these meets! The constent freezing crap feed from FloPro makes me wanna throw things.

    • I think the kips to handstand are worth a tenth and the giant swing before her dismount so maybe hey petitioned a d score raise for the skills she didn’t perform

  7. Seriously, FloGymnastics? $20 to watch? Maybe if they opted for a more reasonable price, people would actually pay. Honestly though, who is going to pay for a recurring charge of $12-$20 just to watch Jesolo? All of the other competitions are available to stream for free on YouTube..
