Dynamo Gymnastics Episode 2 – Emma Spence

We’re so excited to introduce you to Emma Spence, who came out of nowhere last year to go from a Challenge competitor at Gymnix to winning the silver medal in the all-around at nationals.

When we talked to Emma last August, she was preparing for the Junior Japan International, pretty much the top junior competition held every other year in Yokohama. This was her international debut as a member of the Canadian national team, and her results were so promising, including eighth place all-around in a super talented field while also qualifying into three event finals.

Emma, who just turned 15 a couple of weeks ago, has improved so much in every aspect of her gymnastics over the past year, going from “good” to one of the best in the country. A super hard worker, Emma has added a huge amount of difficulty to her program while also cleaning up so many of her skills, and she’s an incredibly dynamic performer on floor.

Last month, Emma showed up at Elite Canada looking so confident and solid in everything she did, winning the junior all-around, bars, and floor titles while also picking up the bronze on vault. She has essentially made herself a lock for any international assignment this season, and we’re so excited to see her represent Canada at the Gymnix Junior Cup this weekend!

Without further ado, we’re thrilled to introduce you to Emma.
