11:40 am. Sunisa Lee, United States, FX: Double double, stuck, excellent! Double layout, chest a little low, small hop. Switch ring to tour jeté full. 1.5 to front full, very clean. Triple wolf spin, double wolf spin, both good. Double tuck, chest low, little scoot back. Super solid. 14.200

11:38 am. Vladislava Urazova, Russia, UB: Slightly short handstand before inbar to Komovaa II (leg sep) to clean Pak. Short handstand before van Leeuwen, short also before inbar half to piked Jaeger, blind change is short before toe full (a little late) to full-in with a hop. Handstands aside that was great! They’re all like exactly 15 degrees off. Not major but it’s noticeable. 14.300

11:36 am. Emma Malabuyo, United States, FX: Excellent double layout, hop back. Arabian double front to stag is great. Switch ring to tour jeté full, fab. Tucked full-in, chest down and a small step. Switch full. Triple wolf spin. Good double pike, hop back. Love this choreo section. Another great routine from the comeback queen! 14.100

11:34 am. Elena Gerasimova, Russia, UB: Toe-on to Komova II to Pak, mostly nice, great handstand before stalder half to toe shoot, short on the half. Inbar half to piked Jaeger, short on blind change, right to toe full to full-in, nice landing. Some suuuper minor breaks in there but overall very nice. 14.100

11:32 am. Qi Qi, China, FX: Can’t wait for this, I LOVE HER. Half-in half-out, little bounce. Super clean 2.5 to front full, step forward, I believe OOB. Excellent on her triple spin and leaps. BEAUTIFUL triple full, just a little low in her chest, step back. Super clean and almost stuck double tuck, just moves one foot a hair. She’s amazing. 13.550

11:31 am. Konnor McClain, United States, UB: Short handstand before toe-on to inbar half to piked Jaeger, caught with her legs a bit messy and wild, and it’s also a bit close. Pak is nice. Stalder full arches over but she does a good job getting it back to the Maloney to stalder half, a bit late there, full-in stuck with her feet apart. A little rough here and there but she fought through! 13.750

11:28 am. Desiree Carofiglio, Italy, FX: Front layout into a clean double front! A little forward on the landing but super solid. Front layout to front full, big hop forward. She’s like I need to be doing a double full, I’m too strong for this. Switch half. Memmel turn. Switch ring to switch full. Santana music! 1.5 for her last pass. Swtich ring. Great! Just needs some tumbling upgrades but she’s coming back from injury so it’s fine. 13.100

11:27 am. Alessia Federici, Italy, UB: Inbar to inbar half to front giant to piked Jaeger, good, just tiny form breaks. Lovely Pak. Great handstand before her Maloney to stalder half, falls out of it a bit too soon, stalder full, double pike a little buckled, hops out of it into her salute. 12.950

11:21 am. Zhang Jin, China, FX: Falls out of her quad turn into a lunge. Whip to triple full to split jump, awesome combo, but she’s a bit short on the triple. Split ring leap to switch ring right into some choreo. Front tuck through to double full, excellent. Double pike, buckled, steps out of it. 13.450

11:20 am. Sophia Butler, United States, UB: Stalder half to piked Jaeger, a little rushed there, some minor form breaks, big Church, Ray to Pak, nice! Stalder full is a little late, clean van Leeuwen, step back on her double layout. Nice job. 13.100

11:18 am. Ayumi Niiyama, Japan, FX: Stumbles a bit out of her Memmel turn. Arabian double front, a bit low, hop back. Good double tuck, little bounce. Switch half. 2.5 is great. Switch leap to tour jeté half. Double pike, knees get a tad soft near the end, but solid landing. 12.450

11:16 am. Noémie Louon, Belgium, UB: Maloney to Pak, nice! Van Leeuwen, some leg separation, toe-on to blind full, blind change to piked Jaeger, some leg separation in the pike, tiniest bounce on her full-in dismount. Really nice lines throughout! 13.700!

11:15 am. Asia D’Amato, Italy, FX: Memmel turn, not bad. Double layout, gets a tad low. Arabian double front, really clean but a bit too far back on her heels, hop. Switch leap to switch half. Double tuck, a little low, big hop back. Switch full. Double full, some ankle form, little hop. 12.850

11:13 am. Camilla Campagnaro, Italy, UB: Maloney to bail (leg sep) to toe-on to clear hip to toe shoot, Tkachev, maybe a little low, blind change to front giant half, giant full, full-in, clean in the air, jumps the landing into her salute. 12.650

11:10 am. Rinne Sakatani, Japan, FX: Clean double tuck, tiny bounce. Deep landing on her double pike but it was clean in the air. A little wild in her spin. 1.5 to front full is nice. Switch ring to tour jeté half I believe, then a 2.5 to finish. Mostly good work! 12.450

11:09 am. Wei Xiaoyuan, China, UB: Toe-on to Maloney to Pak, a little close, some form breaks. Van Leeuwen comes on a little crooked, blind change to front giant to piked Jaeger, doubel layout with a step back. 12.800

10:36 am. Guan Chenchen, China, VT: Good tsuk full with a hop back. 13.500. Then a tsuk double full!!! Step off the mat but my goodness she’s so wee, a huge vault for her! Just a bit wild but good job. 13.800. Average 13.650.

10:34 am. Sunisa Lee, United States, BB: Triple wolf turn, good. Bhs bhs layout, slightly split legs, split jump to sissone. Switch leap to switch half to back tuck, great. Side aerial layout stepout, solid, just some knee form. Switch ring, nice. Split ring jump is also good. Double tuck, step back, chest prob a little lower she wanted but overall this was fantastic. 14.150!

10:32 am. Vladislava Urazova, Russia, VT: Really deep landing on her DTY. 13.750. Does a really nice 1.5 for her second vault! Just the tiniest baby step and maybe a bit off to the side but that was lovely. 14.050. Average 13.900.

10:26 am. Urara Ashikawa, Japan, BB: Nice back handspring mount. Solid bhs loso, and then a clean wolf jump to sissone. Switch leap to sheep jump, really nice! Side aerial to split jump, a little crooked on the landing, wobble. Switch ring, low back knee. Good side somi. Transverse split jump half. Wobble on double spin but good fight. Big triple full! Just a step, and a little messy in the air. 12.751

10:24 am. Camilla Campagnaro, Italy, VT: DTY, lots of power! Form could be a little tighter but that was solid. 13.950. Second is a big clean FTY with a hop back.

10:22 am. Martina Maggio, Italy, BB: Switch leap into a split leap to sissone. Solid bhs loso loso series. Pretty good switch ring, just a little bobble. Side aerial is solid. Front aerial, lands it, little check after. Switch leap to split jump. Good side somi. Stuck 1.5 dismount. Really great work! Martina’s back! 13.401

10:20 am. Viktoriia Listunova, Russia, VT: Actually a really nice DTY!! Maybe twists just a bit too early but overall great. Just a step back. 14.500!! FTY is also solid, step back there as well. 13.700. Average 14.100.

10:18 am. Elisa Iorio, Italy, BB: Solid layout stepout mount. Side aerial, check at the hips. Switch leap to sissone, nice. Nice rotation on bhs loso loso! Very solid landing. 8. Sophia Butler, United States, 12.350

9:54 am. Sunisa Lee, United States, UB: Stalder half to piked Jaeger, nice. Nabieva to Pak to Maloney to Gienger, a little low on both releases and her Maloney form got a little weak but really good fight through both. Toe full to full-in, really clean in the air and stuck. Overall great. 14.450

9:52 am. Viktoriia Listunova, Russia, FX: Whip whip through to triple full, excellent. Tour jeté full. Memmel turn and then a double wolf turn and then a double L turn. 2.5 to front tuck, little bobble on the landing. Switch ring to switch full. Double tuck, step back. Excellent. Superstar. 14.300!!

9:50 am. Liu Tingting, China, UB: Chow to Pak, nice, slight leg sep in the Pak, Maloney to Gienger, good, short handstand before blind change to Ling, bends her hips while in handstand, gets it back, into a Healy, bends again, gets it BACK again, into a Healy half, and then hits her double layout dismount with a smile. I literally can’t believe she didn’t arch over TWICE. Core strength like whoa. 14.250

9:48 am. Vladislava Urazova, Russia, FX: Triple full, little bounce. 2.5, some crossed ankles. Split leap to tour jeté half, super clean triple wolf turn, another super clean double wolf turn. Front double full, tiny bounce. Attitude turn into the corner before her last pass, a clean and nearly stuck double tuck. Brilliant work again. 13.900

9:46 am. Tang Xijing, China, UB: Maloney to Pak, very nice. Van Leeuwen, slight ankle break, blind change to Ling to Healy to Healy half to piked Jaeger, a little close on the release. Stuck a BEAUTIFUL double layout!! 14.350

9:44 am. Wei Xiaoyuan, China, FX: Triple full, step to the side but looked super clean in the air. Also insanely clean on the 2.5! Her leg form is nuts. Switch ring to switch half. Double tuck, a little slow to rotate, chest down and a step forward. Stumbles out of what I think was supposed to be a quad turn? It looked somewhere between a triple and a quad to me. Switch ring half, nice! Front tuck through to super clean double full. Another great job. 13.100

9:43 am. Elisa Iorio, Italy, UB: Ricna to Pak, very clean, Maloney to stalder half to Ezhova, also very nice. Chow half, super clean, a little short on the handstand before her blind change to front giant to front giant full to double front, basically stuck, tiny shuffle. Great work! 14.300

9:40 am. Sophia Butler, United States, FX: Omg her opening choreo is the best with this music. Arabian double front, bit of a stumble forward OOB. Piked full-in, stumble back but she stays inside. L turn to full turn, switch ring to tour jeté half. 2.5 to big front tuck, really nice punch into that tuck!! Whip to double pike, step back. Dive into the floor for her ending pose. Good work in the second half. 12.350

9:38 am. Touch warmup for the second half! So far Alice D’Amato leads bars with a 13.800 and Konnor McClain leads floor with a 13.350.

9:35 am. Alice D’Amato, Italy, UB: Maloney to Tkachev, a little low but good, Ricna to Pak, super clean. Van Leeuwen, blind change to front giant to front giant full to double front, really clean tuck form on the first flip, second cowboys a little, small step forward. 13.800

9:34 am. Konnor McClain, United States, FX: Big double layout, step back. Full turn. 1.5 through to double pike, step back with a little bobble. Switch ring to switch half. Good 2.5 to front tuck, little step forward. Switch full. Clean double full, step back. Landings weren’t necessarily bad, all of her steps seemed pretty controlled, she just had them on all four passes. 13.350

9:32 am. Emma Malabuyo, United States, UB: Clean handstand before stalder full (a little late), Chow to Tkachev, hop change to front giant to piked Jaeger, great pike position, good handstand before Pak, just slightly flexed feet, Ray back up to high, full-twisting double layout, excellent landing. 13.500

9:30 am. Guan Chenchen, China, FX: Triple spin, great. Arabian double front, step to the side. Screaming laughing again at her scream choreo, I love this so much. Double pike, step back. Switch leap to switch half to stag. Double tuck, solid on the landing, chest just a little forward. Popa. Double full, little tiny bit buckled, but that was a great routine, protect this one forever because she is a queen. 13.000

9:28 am. Urara Ashikawa, Japan, UB: Short handstand before clear hip to blind change to piked Jaeger, blind change into a straddle Jaeger after that, adjustment in her bail, right to a toe shoot, short handstand before blind full, layout 1.5 dismount with a step. Another solid set. 12.650

9:26 am. Alessia Federici, Italy, FX: Cute choreo at the beginning. Front double full to front tuck, nice. Double pike, little stumble back. Switch ring to tour jeté half. Omg her low to the floor choreo is so cutesy in a good way, I love it. Nice little turn series. Double tuck is a bit low, two steps forward out of it. Clean stuck double full to finish. Fantastic job, she’s so great. 13.150

9:24 am. Niiyama Ayumi, Japan, UB: Clear hip to blind full, blind change to piked Jaeger, nice and tidy. Bail, leg adjustment, to toe-on to toe shoot, short handstand before giants into her double pike dismount, knees go a bit soft in her pike shape and a little bounce on the landing. 12.050

9:22 am. Chiaki Hatakeda, Japan, FX: Tucked full-in, a bit short, hop forward. Switch ring to tour jeté half. Double L turn to full spin. Triple full is maybe a tad shy and she has some ankle form going on in there but overall a good landing. Memmel turn. Double attitude turn to full turn. So many turns for this one! Really nice job matching high tumbling and dance difficulty. 2.5 comes out super short into her punch front tuck, sits it. UGH. 12.450

7. Emma Malewski, Germany, 11.700
8. Stacy Bertrandt, Belgium, 11.450

9:05 am. Konnor McClain, United States, BB: Sits standing arabian, actually is almost able to turn it into an “I meant to do that” choreo moment but falls. 😦 😦 😦  Off again on her bhs bhs layout. WHYYYYYY. Split jump to a beautiful wolf jump where her nose is basically on her knee, clean full turn, solid standing full. Switch leap to switch half, nice extension. Front aerial slow into her split ring jump, tuck jump half after. Double pike, chest is a tad low, step back. 12.300

9:02 am. Elena Gerasimova, Russia, BB: Onodi mount with the tiniest check. Front handspring to front tuck, perf. Side aerial layout stepout, excellent, walks back out of it into her choreo. Switch leap to sheep jump, sheep isn’t great. Front aerial to split jump, tiny bobble. Mostly nice in the Onodi, maybe just some leg form if we wanna get picky. Full wolf turn, 2.5 dismount, mostly clean, step back. BEAM QUEEN! 13.700

8:57 am. Wei Xiaoyuan, China, BB: Check on back handspring mount, bhs bhs layout, sadly off to the side and she has to hop off. Front aerial to split ring jump to back handspring, great. Switch leap to switch half to Korbut, Switch ring, bent back foot, little bobble, good side somi, tiny adjustment, full turn, little check, 2.5 dismount with a step to the side. 13.100

8:53 am. Ciena Alipio, United States, BB: Full turn, split leap to side somi, solid. Super solid on the bhs bhs layout. Switch leap to switch half, a little low and to the side, big wobble but she saves it. Side aerial layout stepout, wobble and leg comes up, but another good save. Front aerial to split jump to straddle jump, good. Transverse split jump half, very nice, Double full, some crossed ankles, tiny hop. 13.750

8:52 am. SENIOR VAULT FINAL

1. Asia D’Amato, Italy, 14.200
2. Desiree Carofiglio, Italy, 13.250

8:47 am. Asia D’Amato, Italy, VT: Lopez, a bit deep and forward on the landing, big step to the side off the mat. Looked mostly good in the air though! 13.850, average is a 14.200 to win the title

8:45 am. Viktoriia Listunova, Russia, BB: Nice cheststand on the candle mount. Goes right into a planche and then into a super clean double wolf turn. Little wobble on her front handspring front tuck, but good save. Switch leap to switch half, great extension! Front aerial to split ring jump, wobble. Ring leap to split jump to back handspring, good work in that series, super well-connected. Double tuck, chest position is excellent, step back. Fab. 13.850

8:44 am. Asia D’Amato, Italy, VT: DTY, clean in the air, wants to stick it but has to take two baby steps back out of it. Great body position and looked big from this angle! 14.550

8:41 am. Stacy Bertrandt, Belgium, BB: Clean in her back handspring mount. Big bhs loso, just a tiny check, nice control. Switch leap to switch half, wobble and leg up but good save. Side aerial, hip angle is off, but towards the right direction instead of away from the beam so she can correct it easily. A leap with a pause before the back tuck, think she’d like to connect the two, but they’re not quite here, and a 1.5 dismount with a hop forward. Overall a solid job! 11.450

8:40 am. Desiree Carofiglio, Italy, VT: Her second vault is a handspring front pike, not bad in the air, big hop forward. 13.100, average is a 13.250

8:38 am. Chiaki Hatakeda, Japan, BB: Front aerial, little adjustment. Bhs loso is solid, slides her foot back. Switch ring, back leg isn’t there. Back tuck. Side aerial, almost perfectly cnnected into her switch ring jump, flexed foot but her leg looks better there. Nice leap series into a stag ring jump. Clean full turn. Dismounts with a clean double full with a hop. 13.350

8:36 am. Desiree Carofiglio, Italy, VT: Yurchenko 1.5, yesterday she had a major hop but today she’s a little too far back, big step over to the side and OOB. Form could also use some work. 13.400

8:34 am. Emma Malewski, Germany, BB: Bhs loso, little wobble. Double wolf turn is mostly smooth. Front aerial, little check, switch leap to split leap, low back leg on both so she’s not quite at 180. Side aerial, hips are too far over to the side and she falls. Transverse split jump half is pretty good. Double full with a step back. Mostly good, and nice recovery there. 11.700

8:33 am. Starting in just a minute or so! The touch warmup is done on beam, and vault is just wrapping up now.

  1. 12.3 with two falls! This girl is the real deal. I can’t really believe she’s the same 3 year old that was all ver YouTube a decade ago! How did time go so fast?

  2. If anyone can crash the 03 baby party in Italy, it’s Martina Maggio. Her beam is probably the best they have, and she can hit everywhere. Hope she doesn’t reinjure herself.
