4:18 pm. NOÉMIE WON JUNIOR BEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I interrupt my sane blogging to scream about this QUEEN.

4:13 pm. Noémie Louon, Belgium, BB: Lovely back handspring mount, beautiful bhs loso, switch leap to split leap to Korbut, absolutely lovely. Wolf turn, clean side aerial, slight adjustment, transverse split jump half, front aerial, little check, layout full dismount with a hop. What a weekend for her!

4:12 pm. Sienna Robinson, Brown’s, UB: I missed this entire routine, lol?! I looked over just as she was walking off the podium. She doesn’t look thrilled but doesn’t look super bummed either.

4:08 pm. Jessica Dowling, Dynamo, UB: Toe half to big straddle Jaeger, Ricna, hard fall on her back. 😦 Back on for a Pak, Maloney to bail to toe shoot, nice handstand before giants to full-in with a step to the side.

Haley de Jong, Canada, FX: Good arabian double front, hop forward. Hit her second pass. Solid double tuck. Split jump full. Great work again!

Allaire-Bourgie, Canada, BB: Front aerial to split jump to tuck jump half, great. Side aerial. Excellent bhs loso loso. Wild wobbles on her double spin but she does an epic fight to hold on. Side somi to split jump half, good. Switch leap to switch half, bobble, fights. Double full with a hop back. Al Fong nodded his head like yas queen.

4:05 pm. Azuki Kokufugata, Japan, FX: Triple full, step back, very nice! High clean double tuck. Hit the third pass well, I think a 1.5 to front lay or something like it. Finishes with an excellent 2.5. I hope this medals!

Clara Raposo, Canada, BB: Side aerial loso, shoulder angle is off and it pulls her sideways, fall. 😦

Violeta Sanchez, Spain, UB: Blind change to piked Jaeger, straddle Jaeger, also good. Bail to toe shoot, ankle separation in her blind full, good double layout dismount.

4:00 pm. Sloane Blakely, United States, FX: Solid tucked full-in! Arabian double front, stumbled it back but does everything in her power to not sit it. Good girl. Double pike, hop back. Double tuck, little bounce in place.

Lilly Lippeatt, United States, BB: Bhs bhs layout, little bobble. Good! Nice on her transverse jump. Front aerial to split jump to straddle jump. Step back on her double pike dismount. Can she go from challenge cup beam medalist last year to junior cup medalist this year?!

Laurie-Lou Vézina, Gym-Fly, UB: Came off really early in her routine. I missed the rest.

3:56 pm. Ana Padurariu, Canada, FX: Crashed her double pike at the start. 😦 Elena Davydova laughed and goes “oops!” I love good coaches. Good leap series. Good 2.5 to front tuck. Double full is clean with a tiny hop back. Bummer about the first pass but at least she got the bars gold!

3:55 pm. Chloe Trisic, Australia, BB: Caught it on the side somi, she was a bit short there, also short on her transverse split half, chest at her knees, wobble. Switch leap to wolf jump is nice. Clean side aerial. Clean 1.5 dismount.

3:54 pm. Inquiry was denied for Azuki Kokufugata.

3:52 pm. Stacy Bertrandt, Belgium, BB: Back handspring mount, too far off to save, fall. Bhs loso is also a bit sideways, fall. Hit the rest.

Alyona Shchennikova, United States, FX: I couldn’t type during this but what I remember…solid piked full-in, 2.5 I think into a punch front, and she hit her third pass and a somewhat low double tuck to finish. Good routine and really impressed with how her consistency on non-bars events is improving!

Erin Modaro, Australia, BB: Toe full, some arm weakness, to Maloney to Pak, toe half to toe shoot, piked Jaeger, good, layout dismount, little adjustment.

3:51 pm. Cassie Lee, Manjak’s, UB: Straddle Jaeger, nice, big Pak, she has a very natural swing. Toe shoot, blind full just a little crooked, high open double tuck, stuck! Excellent job.

3:50 pm. Maellyse Brassart, Belgium, FX: Piked full-in solid. Double tuck, step back. Big double pike with a step back. Solid routine!

3:48 pm. Alba Asencio, Spain, UB: Maloney to Pak, good, arched over on a handstand after that and came off. Hit the rest.

Olivia Greaves, United States, BB: I missed the very beginning. Little bobble on her front aerial. Check on bhs loso. Missed a foot on her punch front COMPLETELY and uses MAGIC to stand up out of it. Switch leap to split jump, a little shy on both. Side aerial is nice. Step back on the double tuck.

3:45 pm. Livane Masse, France, BB: I missed the beginning. Nice leaps series. Low back leg on another leap. Side somi, hit the dismount.

Elena Chipizubov, Austraia, FX: Good double pike to start. Double tuck with a hop back. Hit her third pass, nice form and landing, and a clean layout full to finish.

Emily Walker, Saskatchewan, UB: Hop change to front giant to nice piked Jaeger, Pak, good. blind full, blind change with some knee bend, just a layout half dismount.

3:41 pm. SENIOR BEAM

2. Sloane Blakely, United States, 13.766

7. Rébéka Groulx, Canada, 12.533
8. Lea Marie Quaas, Germany, 12.133

No official Challenge vault scores yet!

Also Azuki Kokufugata filed an inquiry on beam that could move her to bronze if accepted. I’m watching the head judges go over it now.

3:34 pm. Fien Enghels, Belgium, BB: Candle mount, split leap to switch leap to back tuck, very nice series. Side aerial, clean, short on bhs loso and she falls. 😦 Front aerial, wobble, hit the layout full.

3:31 pm. Kara Eaker, United States, BB: Switch leap to split ring leap, low back leg. Little adjustment. Full Y turn. Front aerial to split ring jump to back handspring, nice. Side aerial loso loso, excellent, tiny adjustment. Good leap series, missed her foot on the punch into the dismount, still gets it mostly around, just a bit deep on the landing.

Ilka Juk, Calgary, VT: Hop back on her FTY, and a bit deep on her handspring front tuck.

Noémie Louon, Belgium, UB: I think I missed the beginning. Saw from the Maloney to Pak, van Leeuwen, toe-on to full pirouette, blind change to big piked Jaeger, very nice. Hit the dismount. Great routine!

3:29 pm. Olivia Greaves, United States, UB: Blind change to piked Jaeger, big but maybe a little close. Huge Church, big downie to Pak, a bit low on the Pak but no problems with it. Van Leeuwen is pretty clean. Toe-on to stalder full, falls over sideways a bit and she has to do this right into her dismount so this is gonna be a struggle, OOF, gets almost no height when she releases, crashes the full-in. 😦 When she gets more comfortable with this routine she’ll be able to decide in the moment to take a swing after that stalder full so she can make sure she gets enough height into the dismount. Not worth the connection if you can’t land the dismount.

Audrey Rousseau, Equilibrix, VT: Hit her FTY and Yurchenko layout, both well.

3:27 pm. Sloane Blakely, United States, BB: She had to stand and face the judges while waiting for her turn on beam, which was the direction of bars, where her sister was competing, which must have been STRESSFUL!!!!!!!!!!! Wild in her double wolf turn. AMAZING standing arabian. Her chest is SO high. Great extension on switch to switch half to layout stepout! Fab series. Front handspring to front tuck, leg up but saves it. Front aerial to split ring jump with a bobble, back leg wasn’t amazing, side somi with a little check and adjustment. Double tuck with a step back.

3:26 pm. Elizabeth Noble, TAG, VT: FTY, a bit tucked and I think it’s meant to be a layout. Low as well. Second vault is a tucked FTY with a little stumble.

Skye Blakely, United States, UB: Inbar to Ricna to Pak, very clean on the Pak. Van Leeuwen, some leg form and a little crooked, toe half to front giant half, stalder to stalder full right on the bar, full-in, just some leg form in the second flip, almost stuck! Great routine.

3:22 pm. Kiora Peart-Williams, Milton Springers, VT: Solid FTY to start. Hit her second vault with a hop.

Zoé Allaire-Bourgie, Canada, UB: Maloney to big Pak, love! Van Leeuwen, clear hip to blind change to piked Jaeger, gorgeous, great handstand before toe full, stuck full-out. Gorgeous!

Emma Nedov, Australia, BB: Little check at the end of her bhs bhs layout. Front aerial to split jump to sissone, nice. Transverse split jump half is way shy of 180 sadly. Switch to wolf jump, back leg on the switch leap is a bit low but the wolf jump was very nice. Switch ring, much better! “To me, it’s okay! Not much deduction.” – Elena Davydova. Excellent punch front. Ugh, double pike is a bit low and she has to kind of lunge forward out of it. Mostly very strong, though.

3:16 pm. Elena Chipizubov, Australia, BB: Candle mount. Bhs bhs layout, excellent! Front aerial, little adjustment that she covers with dance, back tuck, transverse split jump half, nice. Clean full turn, punch front is almost solid, just the smallest wobble, switch to sissone, split ring jump, back leg isn’t quite there, clean stuck double full, that was kind of excellent minus the few minor things. She seemed SO calm and controlled!

3:15 pm. Maria Roman, ESGILA, VT: Handspring front tuck with a hop. Yurchenko layout is a bit short, hop and step forward on the landing.

3:14 pm. Mikako Serita, Japan, BB: Wobbled on something at the beginning. Good switch leap to wolf jump. Side aerial, a little crooked, but no real wobbles, just an adjustment. Smooth bhs loso, just a little short at the end and has to correct. Good back tuck. Goes wild in her triple wolf turn, falls. Good double after. Double full, some leg form and a hop.

3:11 pm. Jessica Sanchez, Mexico, VT: Tucked FTY, nice and big! Lunge back. Step forward on the handspring front tuck.

Stacy Bertrandt, Belgium, UB: Big straddle Jaeger, Pak is clean, Maloney to bail to toe shoot, also solid. Nice handstand before her giants into a double tuck dismount, step to the side.

3:10 pm. Sofia Nair, Algeria, VT: Yurchenko layout, a little piked, step back. Unfortunately sat her Yurchenko pike vault after. 😦

Azuki Kokufugata, Japan, BB: My girl! Wolf turn. Side aerial to split jump, nice. Korbut. Front aerial to stag ring jump, good. Switch leap to sheep jump, good. Hit her flight series and a nicely-rotated triple full dismount!

Lea Marie Quaas, Germany, UB: Straddle Jaeger, some elbow bend when she catches, bail, legs go slightly wild, toe-on to toe shoot, short handstand before blind full, tucked toe front half with some messy leg form but a mostly good landing, juste a step.

3:09 pm. Rébéka Groulx, Canada, UB: I wasn’t typing during this but she got everything. Finished with a good double front.

3:06 pm. Emily Lee, West Valley, VT: Clean FTY, step back. Hit her second vault with a hop back.

Samantha Olivier, Australia, UB: Inbar to inbar half to piked Jaeger, nice! Pak, some leg sep/flexed feet, Maloney to stalder half, a little late, stalder to stalder full, a little late, high stuck double tuck, little adjustment on the landing.

Victoria-Kayen Woo, Canada, BB: Nice fight series. Front aerial to split jump to back handspring, excellent. Overrotates her double spin, grabs the beam and then falls. 😦 Side somi, transverse split jump half, little check, side aerial, switch leap, little pause, wolf jump to sissone, wobble. Good 1.5 dismount.

Awwww Lucia Jakab just walked in with her uber broken arm. She had surgery a couple of days ago and is stuck in Montreal for a week to recover.

6. Emma Milne, Shenderey, 12.133
7. Alba Asencio, Spain, 11.500
8. Emily Walker, Saskatchewan, 10.900

2:55 pm. Victoria-Kayen Woo, Canada, UB: Shaposh to clear hip full, a little late, toe-on to bail (ankle sep) to toe shoot, clear hip half (ankle sep to piked Jaeger, some leg separation there as well, stuck the double layout cold. She’s so gorgeous and could add like a full point to her E score JUST from keeping her legs tighter!!!

Sienna Robinson, Brown’s, FX: Hit her opening pass, solid landing. Front tuck through to 2.5 is fantastic. 2.5 through to double full, a little buckled but solid landing. Cute end pose. Good work.

2:53 pm. Alyona Shchennikova, United States, UB: Inbar full to Maloney to Tkachev, some leg form throughout. Ricna to Pak to Chow half, a little low but gets it to the high bar. Stalder half to front giant half, double layout with a little hop. The leg/foot form gets her throughout, but I love how consistent she is.

Alexa Tucker, Dynamo, FX: Great tucked full-in to start! Nice leaps. 1.5 to front full, a couple steps back. Double wolf turn. Double tuck, step back. She’s excellent!

Olivia Greaves, United States, VT: Beautiful FTY, excellent landing. Second is a huge Yurchenko layout, bounce on the landing with her leg slightly up.

2:52 pm. Skye Blakely, United States, VT: First vault is a huge and lovely DTY. Just a hop on the landing. Second is an FTY, also huuuuuge, very clean, big bounce back.

2:50 pm. Zoé Allaire-Bourgie, Canada, VT: Good FTY! Nice and big and clean. Equal on her Yurchenko layout, bounce back.

Fien Enghels, Belgium, UB: Kinda need her to medal. Toe-on to Komova II to Pak, clean, just the tiniest flex in her feet on the Pak. Inbar full, Chow to Tkachev, UGHHHHH, missed it. NOOOOOOO. Just a step on the double front half-out. God she’s so good.

Audrey Rousseau, Equilibrix, FX: EXCELLENT arabian double front!!! My goodness, that has gotten 100% better since Elite Canada. Fab. Double pike, clean and a solid landing. Hit her third pass and a ring leap into a tour jeté half, her ring shape is almost there but her back leg is just too low. Double tuck, a tad cowboyed with a hop, but overall this was very nice.

2:45 pm. Rachael Riley, Canada, VT: Yurchenko 1.5, a bit deep with a big step back. FTY is much better, just a step, solid form in the air from my angle.

Kara Eaker, United States, UB: Church to Pak, nice! Van Leeuwen, nice handstand before clear hip to clear hip half, meant it to be a full, so she has to correct, does another full pirouette, toe half to piked Jaeger, arches over a bit in a handstand and comes out of it, but corrects again, double layout is solid. Lots of things in there getting hammered but she fought through like a champ.

Emily Lee, West Valley, FX: I wasn’t typing through this but she hit everything I saw! Especially nice on the ring leap and double pike at the end.

2:44 pm. So far Ana Padurariu leads bars with a 14.666 (6.2 D)! She’s more than a point ahead of the rest of the field.

2:42 pm. Emma Milne, Shenderey, FX: 1.5 through to double pike, solid! 2.5 to front tuck, step back. Full Y turn. Double tuck, a little low at the very end. San Jose State is SO LUCKY to be getting her next year!

2:41 pm. Shizuku Sonezaki, Japan, VT: Had a Yurchenko layout for her first vault, which was fine. I couldn’t see the second one though!

2:39 pm. Laurie-Lou Vézina, Gym-Fly, FX: Double pike, a bit low, hop forward. Front layout front full, some form, but hit. Oof, fell forward out of her spin, no hands down though, couldn’t see if it was meant to be a double or triple. Good ring leap series though. HIt her last pass.

Ana Paduariu, Canada, UB: Inbar half to piked Jaeger, good, piked Galante to Pak, some leg separation but solid, Komova II to bail is clean, to stalder full, arches a little but gets it under control, into a Ray, full-in almost stuck, just steps into her salute. Good fight there!!

2:38 pm. Maellyse Brassart, Belgium, UB: Toe full, some ankle separation, Maloney to Pak, some flexed feet, van Leeuwen with some leg separation, clear hip to blind change, ankle separation, to piked Jaeger, ugh, then tries to go into a pirouette and goes a bit crooked, has to hop off. Back on just for the dismount, a high double pike with a hop.

Tiana Odessa, Australia, VT: Good FTY, I couldn’t really see the landing but she hit it! Little hop back on her Yurchenko layout.

2:36 pm. Alba Asencio, Spain, FX: Good double pike to start. Solid 1.5 to front tuck. Switch ring to ring leap, lovely.

Nonoka Momii, Japan, VT: Yurchenko layout, not bad. FTY with a couple of tiny steps, some nice distance in that even though it’s not super huge. Double tuck, ugh, almost has it, just a little too far back on her heels, sits it. 😦

2:35 pm. Emma Nedov, Australia, UB: Bail to toe full to Ray, nice, toe half to big straddle Jaeger, some knee bend when she catches, blind change to double front, nice, just a tiny bounce. Great work!

2:33 pm. Samantha Olivier, Australia, VT: Yurchenko tuck full, kinda runs out of it. Deep landing in her Yurchenko layout afterwards.

Romi Brown, Australia, UB: Toe full, stalder to her transition to high to a bail, good work there, I just missed what she did for her transition because I was watching floor simultaneously, toe shoot, Markelov is cool, high open double tuck, stuck! Very nice work.

Emily Walker, Saskatchewan, FX: Kinda low and some leg from on her tucked full-in to start, big step forward. Double pike is better in the air and on the landing. Step back. 1.5 gets a bit rough in the air, into a front tuck and you can see on her face she knows she doesn’t have it. Puts it to her hands and knees. 😦

2:30 pm. Seniors on bars, juniors on vault, and challenge on floor in this rotation!

2:26 pm. SENIOR VAULT

3. Erin Modaro, Australia, 12.333
4. Audrey Rousseau, Equilibrix, 12.166
5. Katelyn Rosen, Mavericks, 11.900
6. Kyra Cato, Calgary, 11.333
7. Mahleea Werline, Aftershock, 10.700
8. Violeta Sanchez, Spain, 10.433

2:23 pm. Katelyn Rosen, Mavericks, BB: Excellent triple flight series. A little short on her transverse jump with a half turn. Big wobble on her side aerial. Switch half to Korbut, good, just a little shy in the leap. Front aerial, pause into jump series, wolf to sissone. Fab switch to Onodi! Just a little bobble. Double pike, some leg form and she’s a little low, but really excellent effort in this routine.

2:20 pm. Noémie Louon, Belgium, FX: Double pike, gets a nice set but doesn’t rotate super fast, ends a little lower than she would’ve liked. Super clean 1.5 to front full. Switch ring is GORG, to a switch half. Double wolf turn, good work. Double full, some ankle form, little hop back. Serves the judges some LOOKS at the end OH GODDDD. Can she be a senior NOW?!!?!?

2:17 pm. Olivia Greaves, United States, FX: Big open tucked full-in, some leg form and a step back. Front tuck through to 2.5, a bit low but she pulls up into a better position, step back. Loses a bit of leg form in her wolf turn. Double pike, step back. Solid leaps after that. Hit her last pass. Mostly good, just not as super solid as yesterday.

Emily Lee, West Valley, BB: Full turn, nice. Great punch front into her jump series. Roundoff layout, misses her foot and falls. Switch to switch half, a little short on the latter. Side aerial to layout stepout, really nice push out of the aerial! Just a little check. Transverse split jump half, front aerial, has it but then wobbles forward. Saves it. Double pike, a bit low in her punch off the end of the beam, still gets it around with a step back.

2:13 pm. Audrey Rousseau, Equilibrix, BB: Nice full turn, big amplitude on bhs loso but her hip angle is off and she falls. Check on the front aerial, step back out of her switch half. Double tuck, second flip was a bit cowboyed, but solid landing, nice chest position.

Kaylen Morgan, United States, FX: Double tuck, kind of a stumble back, heel OOB. 1.5 to front pike I believe after that, looked okay. Beautiful triple wolf turn. Tour jeté half into the corner for some choreo before her next pass, a double full, hop back. Switch leap to switch half, excellent there. Good routine.

2:09 pm. Laurie-Lou Vézina, Gym-Fly, FX: Hit her mount and a solid bhs loso. Had a wobble on something after that. Front aerial, a little short with a bobble. Switch ring, cartwheel to 1.5, good job!

Zoé Allaire-Bourgie, Canada, FX: Beautiful spin at the beginning! Little bounce back on her double tuck. Excellent double pike. Third pass was nice in the air. Beautiful double L spin to double pirouette. Switch half into the center for her final pose. Gorgeous as always.

2:05 pm. Warmups for the second flight now!

2:04 pm. Erin Modaro, Australia, BB: Hit her mount and her layout series, wobble on her switch to switch half, back tuck, switch ring but the back leg isn’t even close, she’s gonna get that as a switch leap for sure and because she already had one, it won’t count basically. Front aerial, nice, transverse split jump half, good, sissone to wolf jump is excellent! 1.5 dismount with a hop back.

2:02 pm. Jutta Verkest, Belgium, FX: High double pike, clean with a little bounce back. She has lots of great choreo in this. Switch half to straddle jump. Double wolf turn. Switch ring to split ring leap, nice. Clean double full. Excellent routine.

1:59 pm. Violeta Sanchez, Spain, BB: Back layout/pike mount, I think she wants the layout but it’s def piked, big wobble but holds it! Layout series, another big wobble and fight to stay on. Same with a jump after. Clean full turn. Punch front tuck, smaller wobble, hit her jump series. Switch leap, doesn’t connect to switch half, big wobble on the switch half and she finally has to fall. 😦 Good side aerial. Double pike, chest down and a step.

1:58 pm. Nonoka Momii, Japan, FX: Tucked full-in, heel goes OOB, some leg form in the air. Lovely extension on the Popa. Triple full, chest is a little down and some leg form in the air. Switch to switch half. Good 1.5 to front layout. 2.5 to finish was solid.

1:57 pm. Aleah Finnegan, United States, VT: BEAUTIFUL Yurchenko 1.5. She’s like I want my NCAA 10 the first day I compete. Kinda runs out of her handspring front pike but she should get that win for sure.

1:56 pm. Mahleea Werline, Aftershock, BB: Lovely bhs loso loso. Good jump series into her back tuck. Front aerial is clean. Switch ring, ugh, had it but then just popped off. Good double full with a little hop.

1:55 pm. Tiana Odessa, Australia, FX: Double pike, very nice! Tiny hop back. Beautiful 2.5 to front tuck. Switch ring to switch half. Clean double full with a little hop. Hit her last pass. Excellent routine!!

1:54 pm. Brooklyn Moors just came up to me and asked if anything dropped on me yet today and the answer was no until RIGHT NOW when someone hung their boots over the side and shook snow down onto me. THANKS FOR THAT!!!!!!

1:50 pm. Haley de Jong, Canada, VT: Yurchenko 1.5, nice! Step to the side. Second is a handspring front pike with a hop. Georgia’s like come to uuuuuussssss!

Kyra Cato, Calgary, BB: Candle mount, a little bobbly on her wolf turn. Front aerial to her jump series. Little bobble on bhs loso. Big double tuck, stumbled it back and sat it.

Shizuku Sonezaki, Japan, FX: Good landing on the tucked full-in. Second pass came out super low into her punch front, barely gets it around, got really scary for a sec because I fully thought it was going to her head. But good correction. Good triple full, just a landing mistake, leg up. 2.5 at the end is a little low.

1:46 pm. Vault Start List – Haley de Jong, Aleah Finnegan

    • Because I was in Montreal, not Penza, and worked 14 hours a day on Gymnix and had no time to watch Russian Championships, which was held before I even woke up every day, you c-word.
