6. Luka Bojanc SLO 12.600
7. Sebastian Gawronski POL 11.700
8. Filip Sasnal POL 11.550

11:41 am. Sebastian Gawronski POL SR: Iron cross to invert hang, planche, legs are REALLY high and he doesn’t hold long enough, prseses to handstand out of an L sit, a little shaky, full-twisting double layout, stumble forward, looked like one of his hands touched the mat. 11.700

11:39 am. Filip Sasnal POL SR: My stream went out a bit but saw him looking really shaky on one of his handstands, otherwise looked like a good set for him, though.

11:35 am. Vinzenz Höck AUT SR: He has a real chance to win this with Igor’s mistakes! Two double saltos to iron cross, inverted hang up to a nice planche, down to iron cross, inverted hang to handstand, full-twisting double layout with a hop. 14.150 (6.0, 8.150)!!!

11:31 am. Benedek Tomcsanyi HUN SR: Iron cross, rolls through to inverted pike, up to straddle planche, doesn’t hold it quite long enough and is a little shaky, double tuck to double pike to straddle sit, a little wonky going into it, handstand is a little shaky, one after that takes a second to get control, tiny hop on the dismount. 13.100 (5.2, 7.900)

11:28 am. Vlada Rakovic SRB SR: I lost my stream right when he mounted, hopefully will get to see some of it. Nope! It came back just as he high fived someone. I love that when I have stream issues it shows me everything BUT the routine. 12.600 (4.5, 8.100)

11:25 am. Yevgen Yudenkov UKR SR: Maltese, to invert pike to Maltese down to iron cross, back to inverted pike up to handstand, double saltos to iron cross, inverted pike to really high straddle planche, shaky and arched on the handstand after that, double double is only slightly low, small hop to control it. 13.750

11:21 am. Igor Radivilov UKR SR: Maltese through to iron cross, inverted hang to pike, rolls through to iron cross, inverted hang swings through to a handstand, double pike to wide-arm handstand, Maltese down to inverted hang, nice high planche, a tiny bit shaky on a handstand after, but not bad at all, double double, twists late, lands a little low, two big steps forward. Overall beautiful to watch. 13.800 (6.2, 7.600)

11:19 am. Luka Bojanc SLO SR: Inverted hang, up to a planche that he lowered into a maltese, THE CONTROL, double pike into straddle sit, double tuck into a hanstand, one of his legs kind of slid out on his piked double front dismount so he ended up low with a considerable step. 12.600 (4.7, 7.900)

11:16 am. Touch is wrapping up shortly!

11:11 am. The rings dudes are about to walk in to be introduced.

POMMEL HORSE

1. Nariman Kurbanov KAZ 14.600
2. Robert Seligman CRO 14.350
3. Matvei Petrov ALB 14.050
4. Filip Ude CRO 14.000
5. Daniel Kopeinik AUT 13.100
6. Petro Pakhniuk UKR 13.000
7. Zoltan Kallai HUN 12.600
8. Krisztofer Meszaros HUN 12.300

10:55 am. Robert Seligman CRO PH: My feed froze in the middle of this but everything I saw looked good, no falls or rough spots!

10:52 am. Csenge Bacskay HUN UB: Really high Hindorff, practically over the bar with no distance, messy Pak both in the shape and in her leg form, to toe on to toe full, arches throughout the pirouette, where she also has messy legs, and can’t pull it back to handstand, falls. Maloney when she gets back on, to clear hip, fights for the handstand, has to take an extra swing, blind change to front giant half, just a layout dismount, stuck. 8.500

10:49 am. Petro Pakhniuk UKR PH: Arched out of one of his scissor handstands, but pretty fluid on all of the up and down there, hips get pretty piked on one of his circles, and he can’t bring his legs under control on one swing, sitting on and rolling off of the horse. More aggressive when he gets back on, travels well, wendeswing  right into his dismount. 13.000 (5.6, 7.400)

10:47 am. Lisa Zimmermann GER UB: Late out of the clear hip full, van Leeuwen, a bit arched, tiny leg breaks, blind change is clean, to a low-ish and long piked Jaeger, but she caught no problem, Pak, some leg separation, Maloney to bail to toe shoot, nice extension, Alt dismount with a small hop back. 12.700 (5.3, 7.400)

10:45 am. Daniel Kopeinik AUT PH: Scissors into his circles, travels super quickly with no breaks, legs come into a straddle almost on a circle element later on, though, simple dismount. 13.100 (5.7, 7.400)

10:42 am. Zoja Szekely HUN UB: Huuuuuuge Church to start, but can’t grab the bar, falls. Tkachev to Pak, some leg separation, Maloney to Gienger, a bit low and wild, blind change to piked Jaeger, flexed feet and a little low, toe full, full-in with some leg separation and a step. 11.750 (5.4, 6.350)

10:40 am. Matvei Petrov ALB PH: Lovely work on his scissors to handstand, hips are bent a bit on a one-arm swing, handstand pirouettes down into flairs, fabulous, travels in flairs as well, some tiny leg breaks on a single handle circle, then back into flairs to travel, SUPER muscled into the handstand before the dismount, but overall great work, I love how much variety he has.

10:37 am. Diana Varinska UKR UB: Nice handstand before her Chow to Pak, Maloney to clear hip full, Tkachev to mixed grip to Jaeger, bent her knees going into the Jaeger and it’s a tad low, but I love that so much no matter what and the rest of what she’s done has been relatively clean. Full-in dismount is stuck with her feet apart. 13.400 (5.7, 7.700)

10:35 am. Filip Ude CRO PH: My stream was in and out for this but I think he hit…I didn’t see him come off at all! Replay on now…nice transition from his two-hand single handle work into a one-arm circle. The rest looked great! 14.000 (5.6, 8.400) puts him into second place for the moment. I think Nariman is first but I missed his score.

10:33 am. Lara Hinsberger GER UB: Blind change to beautiful high piked Jaeger, very nice, Pak is super clean, very nice van Leeuwen, which is where she had a scary fall yesterday, toe full with great form, just slight ankle separation, toe front half dismount, great landing. Excellent work! 12.800 (4.5, 8.300)

10:31 am. Krisztofer Meszaros HUN PH: He actually looked really good at the beginning and seemed to be pretty effortlessly making his way through, but looked like he just lost his rhythm and had to hop off at one point. Also looked great when he got back on. Shame about the fall. 12.300

10:30 am. Marta Pihan-Kulesza POL UB: Shaposh to bail to toe-on to toe full, loses her leg form in this and finishes late, has to drag her knees on the ground, Ray to high, clear hip half to piked Jaeger, legs are a bit of a mess throughout, blind…supposed to be full I think, but muscles through and has to come off halfway, just does a back tuck dismount. 10.400 (4.7, 5.700)

10:27 am. Nariman Kurbanov KAZ PH: Scissors get stuck a bit at the start with one of his legs kind of touching the horse, into some circles, body line is mostly straight, one-arm circle was super nice, great extension throughout, and he clears the horse very well with his hips. Clean dismount. Lovely work!

10:25 am. Elina Vihrova LAT UB: Handstand before the clear hip is lovely, stalder to blind full, blind change to excellent straddle Jaeger, bail, just a little sway in her back, toe shoot, clean double pike with a step. She has such an easy, natural swing. 12.550 (4.4, 8.150)

10:22 am. Zoltan Kallai HUN PH: Scissors into an archy weird handstand that he has to muscle up, hops off when he can’t really do it. Once he gets back on the rest is smooth, muscles the handstand into the pirouette for the dismount.

10:20 am. Jasmin Mader AUT UB: Toe full, a little iffy and arched and messy but she gets it under control very quickly, good recovery there, Maloney to clear hip to toe-on to bail to toe shoot, nice on the combo. Handstand is pretty good before her blind change to straddle Jaeger, toe-on to immediate back tuck dismount from handstand, nice! 12.250 (4.8, 7.450)

10:18 am. Touch is just wrapping up, we should be moving shortly!

10:11 am. Gymnasts are coming out to be introduced for the bars and pommels finals!

6. Csenge Bacskay HUN 13.200
7. Tijana Korent CRO 13.125
8. Aneta Holasova CZE 13.100

MEN’S FLOOR

1. Rok Klavora SLO 14.000
2. Ilyas Azizov KAZ 14.000
3. Petro Pakhniuk UKR 13.900
4. Yevgen Yudenkov UKR 13.750
5. Alexander Benda AUT 13.500
6. Krisztofer Meszaros HUN 12.400
7. Milad Karimi KAZ 12.350
8. Dusan Dordevic SRB 10.950

9:56 am. Boglarka Devai SOBBING as she learns she takes gold. First competition in more than two years!!!

9:53 am. Milad Karimi KAZ FX: Big stumble on his double front half-out, I think he did it out of a front layout. front full to Randi is better. Double double, a little low with a step. Hit the next pass, I wasn’t paying attention. Also a big stumble forward on his triple full. Oof. MILAD.

9:50 am. Anastasiia Motak UKR VT: DTY looks much better today, still not the biggest in terms of amplitude, but much better than yesterday, she’s VERY tight in the air, and pretty upright on the landing, just a bit buckled in the knees.

Another 70 hour pause to prep her second vault, a Yurchenko half-on pike half off, some small leg form issues, her knees are slightly bent, hop back, but overall much better than yesterday.

13.775 moves her into second place!!

9:47 am. Krisztofer Meszaros HUN FX: Front layout to double front half-out, low with a hop forward on the landing, but ambitious pass! Front full to front double full, leg form is messy but again knocks it out. Randi looks clean in the air but too far forward as he comes in for the landing, hands down. 2.5 to Rudi is good. Stuck the double full. Triple full again a bit low, buckles the landing with a step. I like him, he’s one of the wee ones here for MAG, he has potential.

9:44 am. Csenge Bacskay HUN VT: FTY, nice in the air, small hop back.

Second vault is a tsuk layout, small hop back, also pretty nice.

13.200 average.

9:42 am. Ilyas Azizov KAZ FX: Randi to start, nice, little scoot. Stuck a full-in after that. Front full to front double full, lunge back. 2.5 to barani, solid landing. Rudi side pass. Double full. Triple full, bent knees throughout, but mostly good on the landing, maybe a hair shy of complete rotation. 14.000, ties Rok Klavora, but he moves into second based on the tiebreaker.

9:39 am. Angelina Radivilova UKR VT: Lopez, leg separation coming on and off the table, pretty decent layout shape minus the split legs, big bounce back on the landing.

FTY with a big hop back for the second vault.

13.625 average puts her into second place at the moment, behind Boglarka Devai.

9:37 am. Yevgen Yudenkov UKR FX: Double front half, some leg form, not bad on the landing. Front double full to barani. Hit the pass after that, full-in maybe? I didn’t see the entry. I missed a couple of things after that, came into his triple a bit low at the end, small hop to the side.

9:35 am. Tijana Korent CRO VT: Handspring front pike half, bent her knees fully on the twist.

She left Boglarka’s number up from her Lopez for BOTH of her vaults and I’m like girl you’ve been in this business for like 20 years?!?!?!

Second vault is a Yurchenko full, some wild legs coming off the table, but a solid landing, just a step.

13.125 average.

9:32 am. Alexander Benda AUT FX: Double front, small hop. Front double full to front tuck full. 2.5 to barani, stuck with his chest a bit low, but not severe. 1.5 to front full. Clean double full side pass. Forward rolls out of it into his non-acro business, press handstand from a split, cute. Triple full, mostly clean, maybe a little short, small step.

9:29 am. Boglarka Devai HUN VT: DTY, goes in hard, has to buckle a bit on the landing, but overall a successful run and it looked better than yesterday. Just leg form and a couple of big steps back.

Lopez for the second vault, talks to herself for one hour after saluting and before beginning her run, but this was VERY nice! Step back on the landing, just a slight pike before she lands, but she held that front layout shape PERFECTLY off the table, NO ARCH.

13.950 average.

9:28 am. Rok Klavora SLO FX: Missed the routine but seeing some in slo-mo repeat, he looks great on what they’re showing! 14.000

9:24 am. Aneta Holasova CZE VT: FTY, I missed it.

Just had to switch servers for my VPN so hopefully now it’ll work better because this is A MESS. I can’t tell if it’s my VPN or their stream.

13.100 average.

9:22 am. Dusan Dordevic SRB FX: Crashed his double double at the beginning. My stream had the wheel of doom for almost all of the rest, but saw him hit an arabian double front with a large step.

9:20 am. Lisa Zimmermann GER VT: My stream is VERY spotty today. Get it together, gymnastics broadcasters! But looks like she did a decent FTY for her first vault, hop back on the landing.

Second vault was a Yurchenko half-on, pike half off. Good!

13.500 average.

9:19 am. Looks like I missed Jasmin Mader on vault…and probably a couple of others? They’re showing both of her scores but not the average and I didn’t have time to jot them down so I missed those.

9:16 am. Petro Pakhniuk UKR FX: Front layout to double front, small hop forward. 2.5 to front double full with a little step. Randi with a step to the side. I think I missed a pass, then a double full side pass. Triple full to finish, little scoot to the side. Great tumbling, just landing things on everything. 13.800

9:15 am. For some reason the Olympic Channel stream isn’t working so I’m going back to my trusty little Hungarian stream from yesterday. Either way, the action should begin shortly!

    • The Hungarian stream is at matsz.hu, but you need a VPN to watch. You can also watch at olympicchannel.com, but you have to log in with your cable company, and it wasn’t working for me today…it kept booting me back to the login screen. Same thing happened for Spencer at the BBS.
